They're back in the Paradise Shopping Center where La Coppa used to be. They are now under the original owners. I went a couple of times when it was La Coppa and found their Chai Lattes to be sort of a watered milk with antifreeze sort of experience. Really, how does one mess up a Chai Latte? Heat milk, pour in predone Chai stuff and you are done. Anyhow, the place is starting to really pep up as the new/old owners begin adding things back into the place. The Chai is once again good and the real bonus for those of us that don't like to start our day with oatmeal is the breakfast burritos. They are just the right size, reasonably priced and full of flavor. I recommend the chorizo breakfast burrito. The quiche they have in the case also looks very tempting, though I haven't tried that yet. And, even at 7:30 a.m., the Coconut Almond Joy gelato in the case looks pretty appetizing as well. There is also a nice selection of pastries for you traditionalists that don't start your day with chorizo. The owner tells me that some light lunch offerings, such as gourmet soups, will be coming soon, which will be a nice alternative for those of us that work in the area and find ourselves at Paradise most lunches. That's nothing against Paradise, which is awesome, but one does need a little variety in life. In food, drink and service, the flavor and spirit are back at this spot. It's yet another bonus at a shopping center that has shown an amazing turnaround over the past few years. read more

Just stopped by for a quick pick me up of caffeine. Coffee tasted kinda old and the lady at the window seemed kinda rude when i asked if i could get a new one made fresh. Maybe i just caught them on a bad day most reviews are good ones but that was my experience. read more

I love coffee roasters. The girls and guy that work here are some of the best baristas.plus its drive thru, what else can you ask? Rachel,Crystal,Christine,Claudia too, just a great group of young people. Starbucks can take a page.... My absolute favs are Rachel and the sometimes Christine. This place sucks !!! It's so true , people that pull in behind u , do indeed get served first . But they def reheat steamed milk , and u just cannot do that , the previous customer paid enough that u must toss it , it will never taste good to the next customer & can reach dangerous temperatures. The other location in Novato , can be ok , but then I get the old bitter & too hot cappuccino . A few years ago , they had a righteous Xmas blend & I really liked it , as I bought a few lbs , the owner told me it was just a everyday blend that they repackaged , nothing special . For some reason , this really annoyed me , felt fooled . The owner is really a lovely person , her hubby , not so much . Neither know how to train staff , they are indifferent to the customer . So , no choice , must go elsewhere . This is a locally owned too bad they do not hire one manager , that tightens this place up . Nice and quiet place to untangle your weary soul. They have quite spacious interior and outside benches and table. I have not tried a lot of their menus but can say would go there again and try their lattes. I tried their mango black tea which I thought was very good. read more

Very affordable. Coffee was nothing special - we stopped at the one in Novato after staying the night in San Rafael and I always prefer to support local coffee. Latte was decent, mocha was VERY sweet. The drive through is cool but we didn't realize it was a drive through and ended up awkwardly walking up and being in the way of cars. Oops. read more

I haven't home roasted in two weeks due to all kind of busy-ness and gave these folks a shot. They are positioned as a drive-thru type joint and the coffee is generally very good. I personally find there North Beach roast too dark for my palate, but the Costa Rica I had was very good. I have only had their regular brewed coffee, so I cannot comment on espresso or foamed milk drinks. read more

Their soy chai tea lattes are not very good but I got over that and kept returning until recently. I asked them what a 1/2 mocha and 1/2 white mocha latte was called and was told to call it a half and half mocha. So when I went another time to order my coffee, I ordered exactly how they had instructed me to. When they guy came to my car to verify he understood my order correctly, he hadn't. So he went back to make my drink and CHARGES me TWICE! I have NEVER experienced being charged TWICE for a drink because he did the first one wrong. I was pissed, paid the bill and drove off. They guy stood there waiting for a tip. I don't think so pal! I will not go back there again! I may not have been a daily customer but I was most definitely there about 3 times a week. read more

The idea of a local drive thru coffee shop sounds like heaven since I have a baby to deal with thats not always easy but this place is anything but heaven sadly. Today out of needing a quick coffee fix I reluctantly decided to give this place again, today was third strike.. I don't know how many things you can get wrong in one order but today I found out.. 1. Pulled up and was served after someone who pulled up after me (not the first time this happened) 2. Order two drinks and two burritos, drink came out wrong, one burrito came out and was cold (ok i can heat at home but really??) 3. Waiting for second burrito she looks at me a few min later wondering why i hadn't left and had to remind her that I was still waiting on the burrito I paid for 4. Got burrito that was cold and looked when we left and realized we had been given the wrong one, too irritated to turn around. after being served a drink that tasted so terrible I threw it away (and I'm no coffee snob) and being skipped on multiple occasions and realizing that people are running a fast paced job that have no idea what they are doing I am giving up on this local coffee shop. I will go to starbucks for the fact that i know I'm getting good cup of coffee each time and the fair service that comes with it. Whoever owns this places should do something about staff, there is one girl there who is always rude and the others just have no idea what they are doing, its a shame. read more

This place is under the orignial management. The owner is very helpful and has a good memory when it comes to regulars. Recently, she keyed me back to the chillo drink on hot summer days. The coffee is good when they get your order right. The convenience is what brings me back. Some of the staff are really friendly others are quite rude. Almost every time I am there they make a drink for the person behind me in line before they make mine or even take my order. And 80% of the time get the order wrong. I should take my own advice and stop giving them my money huh? read more

We tried this place last year, in Novato and really were not impressed. The thing with non starbuck type places, being a real barrista makes a difference. With no magic recipe cards to memorize they are on their own. My husband only ever orders a mocha anywhere and he wantes it to taste the same every time, so Starbucks it has been. This last two weeks he has gone here 6 times! The crew working now knows what they are doing. The blonde young lady turns out a great mocha or latte. I have been here a couple of times in the last several weeks and tried to order a blended cold drink called a Chillo. The same server (female, thin, tall and pretty with dark hair) told me that they didn't have the Chillo mix. Went to another Coffee Roasters and they had plenty of mix.
