    Our White Pompano India Wild
    Tanya T.

Our wild India pompano was fried to perfection, service not quick but the line was moving so no big deal. The store is cozy and has more of a welcoming feel than the austere feel of the bigger store chains. Lines weren't long since it was close to closing and cashiers were friendly. We went here for their fried fish service which was convenient and came at no additional cost. As a pescatarian, I am a regular here particularly for this service so if you want to double getting a prepared seafood meal along with getting your groceries, this is just the spot for that!

$12.99 for crabs is pretty outrageous, particularly if they are going to burn you with ones that have missing claws and/or legs
    Steve H.

I was charged with picking up Dungeness crabs for a family dinner in Lodi. Marina is near the the freeway, and on my way, so I went there. At $12.99 per pound, they were more expensive than any I've seen at other markets, but I didn't want to waste time driving to other markets to save a couple of dollars. I asked the guy at the counter, who spoke clear english, for 3 crabs with claws and legs intact. He went behind the tank an emerged a few moments later with a paper bag, tightly rolled, then put in a plastic bag and double-tied. Looking back, I should have been suspicious, and ripped the bag open. When I got to Lodi and opened the bag I found out he had given me crabs with missing legs and/or claws. None of the 3 were whole. Yes, I should have opened the bag, but this guy deliberately burned me. Fool me once.

Very good place for Asian food, one can find here Korean, Thai, Chinese and all other things. Also they have Russian food as well

7 day return policy on a broken $10.00 item. I understand it, but I should also be able to get my money back and not store credit, which they gave me. No signage saying only store credit on broken/used items, just that it's a 7 day return policy. I will not be shopping here any longer.

Don't even say you're surprised. Not only do they sell severely expired food. It's also tainted with rodent poop. Just stop, Marina Food.
    Geminyna J.

UPDATE: Is it really a surprise that the County's Dept of Public Health had to shut them down for "severe rodent infestation" on Sept 27, 2018? Even if they clean up their act so to speak & are allowed to reopen, who'd want to play intestinal roulette with ANYthing from here again?? -------- 08.25.2018 a bag of "fresh" oysters from Marina Foods were purchased for grilling at a summer barbecue. Everyone that had the misfortune of eating these tainted oysters had instantaneous bubble guts followed by severe diarrhea. Not the ideal way to kick off a soirée. Their falsely advertised fresh products are so off that they'll literally make you sick. Don't think you're safe with their frozen and canned goods either cuz many expiration dates exceeded 6 months beyond shelf life.

BEWARE of overcharging! Pea shoots -confirmed weight @ home 0.70 lb, but was charged for 1.41 lb at checkout (overpaid by $5.65)

This place is good for authentic Shanghai and Cantonese items. These take me back to my childhood days growing up in Hong Kong.

Heard the food market is closing and somebody else is taking over?

Hashi Market is taking over the store. They're suppose to remodel it but store was to stay open during the remodel.

All other supermarkets, except for maybe Fresco in South Bay and Berkeley Bowl in East Bay, have a niche, and you're going to be inconvenienced if what you want to make is outside of that focus. This large market had a dedicated aisle to Latino products, one for Japanese, Central/Eastern European, Southeast Asian - mostly for Filipino and Indonesian products, an aisle EACH! Now, as you may know, Hashi has taken over the market following the retirement of the previous boss under Marina. Apparently the kids don't want to take over haiyaaaa. Not much has changed but necessary renovations are planned, though unfortunately, the European section was down to some canned drinks and Slavic sauerkraut during my recent visit. Other reviews have mentioned how cold it gets inside. During my visit, it was all right, about as same temperature as outside. They don't have a heating system, I guess. Now I understand that Hashi has a focus on Japanese products, but given the physical size and history of this market location, I do wish that its Japanese branding doesn't come at the expense of everything else, especially since there are major competition nearby and we don't need a rat race to the bottom.

Not too familiar with the area, we were unaware of the ownership change. Crabs at $7.99/lb. seem like a reasonable price, vegetables looked fresh. Meats and seafood are priced a little lower than other Asian markets. I was excited to find some sesame candy which reminded me of childhood snack, however there is no expiration date on the good looking box ($4.99). The food court area is being remodeled, we walked around it carefully. The crabs we steamed last night for dinner were pretty good. Today I tried the sesame candy and was very disappointed. As soon as I opened the nicely wrapped candy, the aroma of rancid sesame oil hit me and it tasted bitter.....basically the candy is inedible. I understand it may not be the fault of the market because this item was imported. The lack of expiration date should have given me a warning, my fault. Needless to say we will not be rushing back to shop here anytime soon, hopefully they do a better job on quality control going forward.

I was impressed: the location is clean, organized, has a great selection, and has fun Turkish music playing over the speakers. I was able to find kagit helvah, which is a wafer-like treat; I've been trying to find some for years, so I was pleased! They have a nice deli and refrigerated section, with tempting meats, cheeses, and pickles. I was able to find a variety of tahini. They also have a great selection of lokum (Turkish Delight), of which I purchased several flavors. Best of all, I sat down for a delicious serving of Turkish coffee. I had mine "az sekerli" (a little sugar), which was luxurious and a treat. I look forward to returning for baklava and simit. BTW. My visit was met with a friendly welcome, which was appreciated.

I love seeing people enjoy tea/coffee & treats outside the bazaar with friends and family. And finally we gave it a try! The people who work there are all SO friendly. They were so welcoming and the man (maybe the owner?) who helped us with the treats/tea was especially kind & helpful! We sat outside an enjoyed a Turkish delight, kataifi, and chocolate baklava with tea (we paid for a small and he gave us a large since he saw we were sharing)! Everything was so yummy and we will definitely be back and tell all of our friends! Also the produce and meat are decently priced so I'll be back to get those!

I am so happy I discovered Gourmet Corner. Even in the culturally diverse Bay Area, it can be…read moresurprisingly difficult to find authentic French ingredients without driving long distances. Gourmet Corner makes it easy to enjoy real French food at home. They offer an impressive selection of French products, including sausages, charcuterie, salami, cheeses, wines, chocolates, cookies, and many other specialty items. The prices are very reasonable, and the ordering process is simple. After ordering online, I chose to pick up my order at their Campbell location. The process was simple and hassle-free. I recently purchased Raclette cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. In my opinion, it is the best Raclette I have found in the Bay Area. Today I picked up Boudin Noir along with some French sweets, and I am looking forward to trying them. What really stood out to me was the excellent customer service. The staff is incredibly friendly, responsive, and flexible. They went out of their way to help, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. For first-time visitors picking up an order at the Campbell location, the pickup location can be a little tricky to find. Look for the large building with the American Barbell gym at the entrance. Facing the building, there is a small entrance on the far right side with designated pickup parking spaces. Once you arrive, call to let them know you're there, and they will bring your order out to your car. One helpful tip: wine shipments arrive on Tuesdays and Fridays, while many of the other food items are typically kept in stock. After your order is confirmed, pickup is often available without having to wait specifically for those delivery days. I also learned that Gourmet Corner regularly participates in local farmers' markets throughout the Bay Area. It's always nice to support a small business that brings authentic French products directly to the community and helps people discover the flavors of France close to home. If you love French food, French culture, or simply want to recreate an authentic French meal at home, I highly recommend Gourmet Corner. Shopping here feels like stepping into a French gourmet market without leaving California. I'll definitely be ordering again very soon!
