Came here for a repast after a funeral ceremony and they were able to accommodate a big group of roughly 30 so kudos to the staff. Once we got there they gave us all ice waters and got our drinks orders fairly quick. Plenty of cocktail and drinks options but since we were down the shore I decided to go with a local ale from Kane and was not disappointed. Apps were ordered for our table (corn fritters, fried calamari, and guacamole and chips). Calamari was tasty and I never had it served with orange slice which was interesting. Corn fritters were my favorite though. As for the main I decided to go with a pizza and I was so stuffed I should've gone lighter. I've been liking the recent obsession with honey on pepperoni so I went with the Sopressata + Honey pie which was tasty. If you're looking for a nice restaurant in Belmar with beautiful views of the marina, you have to check out Marina Grille. They have plenty of parking in the lot (might have to park at the end if it's more packed). They have indoor and outdoor dining options. They have plenty of draft beers and cocktails. Their appetizers were delicious. I highly recommend the volcano shrimp. Their sandwiches are also very big and a great portion. Their pizzas are delicious too! Getting a table here in the evenings is difficult! There are no reservations, so be sure to get there early. The first time my party tried to get a table, they was an almost 2 hour wait. We tried again the next day, but arrived at 5:30 this time. We were seated within 20 minutes. I will say that you pay for the view more than anything. It is gorgeous during sunset. The food was good, but a little cold. It could be because our food were brought out at the same time. Great place to grab a drink with amazing water views sitting on the outdoor patio. Unfortunately for the dinning experience it wasn't the best. To start we tried the corn fritters and spicy crab/spinach dip. I've never tasted corn fritters like these before- it reminded me of a zeppoli, or like a corn donut with the doughy texture and not alot of corn inside. The spicy crab/spinach dip was alright but definitely not spicy at all. For entrees we tried the arugula & prosciutto pizza and spicy rigatoni vodka. Me and a bunch of friends went out on a Tuesday. The location is big and inhibits a very upscale atmosphere. The lightening is def low. Our waitress just felt blah! We all commented how disengaged she was with us. I ordered the margarita, pizza and a winter drink with Irish Whisky. The drink was over powering with a sugar taste to it. Not my best drink. The pizza was not great for what I paid. It was so bland. For a brick stone pie, it just doesn't look good. I rather the basil be chopped then full like this. Just seeing the photo, you can tell it doesn't look the best. I was not impressed and during the summer, if you need to park close to the restaurant, you have to pay to park. We came here twice in the same week. The first time was very good, we each had a lobster bisque and shared volcano shrimp and a seasonal special spicy tuna pancake. The first time we came it was dinner time and the place was relatively busy, our server was very good. The second time we came was not great. We had the lobster bisque again as well as clams casino. Both were cold/room temp. All of the servers as well as someone who appeared to be a manager were chatting outside of the kitchen while we watched food sit waiting to be picked up from the kitchen. Everything took forever since apparently the staff were too busy having a social hour to do their jobs. It's unfortunate because the kitchen clearly was doing a great job turning out food quickly that did have good flavor but was cold by the time it arrived. We were seated inside and we ordered the summer martini, blackberry marg, cracked egg pizza, spicy vodka rigatoni, and fish and chips. I really liked my summer martini, but my friend thought the blueberry marg was too strong. As a fan of egg in pizza, I enjoyed my pizza and my friends also loved what they ordered. Ok so it's on the water and you are really going here for the view. The food is really expensive and the portions are small. Empanada appetizer is 2 small empanadas for 12 bucks. If u order a margarita pizza $16 it comes out like a little personal size pizza like a kid would get at chuck e cheese. It's not even the prices that big me about this place as much as the portion sizes. Make a normal size pizza, put 4 pieces of appetizer on a plate, stop making people leave hungry . Parking lot is always packed here so be ready to walk , paid parking on the north side, free parking on the south side lot. My colleagues and I came to this dump that runs on a single brain cell. To start, the hostess told us that our party of 7 was ready to be seated outside, as per our request. We proceeded to follow her to a small table which seated 4 people. We reminded her we were 7 people and she said "I know. We will pull chairs". We followed her and the young girls in the front told us that we had a choice to either wait 40 minutes or sit inside immediately. We decided to sit inside considering their rude tone. We sat down and ordered our drinks. The waitress brought over bread and as my colleagues dug in, I decided to grab a piece. As I went to cut the bread, I noticed mold on the top of the roll. I called over the waitress and she giggled and took it away. She came back and offered new bread or dessert. We chose the dessert, not knowing what was to come. Our entrees came out and 3 out of the 7 in the party had ordered the mixed grill. It was cold. It was under seasoned. It was overcooked and simultaneously undercooked. Worst of all, it was over a bed of basmati rice. The rice was hard and crunchy. It was raw. We spoke to the waitress and told her that for future reference she should make sure the rice is cooked well because it was not enjoyable and inedible. She said that many people have complained about the rice previously and that is how it is supposed to be. She also said "I am just a server, I did not cook the rice". The rice is not supposed to be hard. I have never had hard rice. So she told us she would get the manager. When the manager came over he told us he would take 1 or 2 items off the bill. When we received the bill, we saw he took off the espresso martini and a lemonade. Considering we had moldy bread, and 3 terrible dishes, I figured we would get at least a meal off the bill. Safe to say we are never returning, and if you do decide to go, only order French fries. The best thing on the menu. read more

No better seafood restaurant in Belmar! A large group of friends & I headed to Marina Grille for their tuna nachos, good vibes, and unbeatable service. Shannon was our waitress and absolutely made the night; drinks were refilled, appetizers (the tuna nachos and citrus calamari - both of which were gone before we could even take a picture) and entrees came out with perfect timing. A few of us had the scallops (pictured), the spicy chicken pizza (pictured), and the fried egg pizza (pictured). Others had the lobster bisque soup.
