Hi Jacque I'm most disappointed in the New Year's Eve party. My fiancé is hospitalized and she wanted me to come and not loose our money on the non refundable tickets. When I arrived I was given a table in the back of the restaurant to enjoy dinner by myself. When I asked to be served at the bar I was told there was not bar dinner service. That said I saw at least 5 groups having dinner at the bar. Moreover I ask if I could have at least a chair at the bar I was told management didn't want patrons at the bar sitting tonight. Therefore I essentially spend $300.00 for a bullshit evening. I now realize why your event was not a sell out! Bad service and bad employ attitudes. Needless to say I will never patronize the Marina Grille again. Chiefs international should fire the entire employee base as they suck. Nice ambience fitting out on deck for lunch. Service was good also. Had fried flounder sandwich which was pretty good. Friend had magi magi tacos- unfortunately they weren't served with any sauce which they needed. Staff brought lime & lemon wedges instead of a sauce. Split spiced shrimp app which we enjoyed. I don't know if the following is rule of thumb or strictly an observation but my experience at the Jersey Shore is remarkably consistent - the closer you get to the water the farther away most restaurants get from five stars. The temptation is obvious, seeing as some patrons will gladly eat cat food if accompanied by a view, ocean breeze and a comfortable price premium to make them feel like they have privilege. My perception of Belmar's Marina Grille has always followed suit as the Summertime crowds lap at the formula while eagerly doling out $35 for fish-and-chips and a beer... and can easily cut into the mortgage payment for a filet mignon. You know what? The fish, chips and the beer weren't half bad, arriving at my table light and flakey without a hint of the oil-soaked anchor that many shore kitchens pass off as the English treat. Good for them because I just may come back and I can't remember the last time I said that where surf, sand and chowder was concerned. A solid four stars. read more

Came here for a late lunch with some friends on a Friday afternoon. It's clear to me that the atmosphere is definitely why people come to Marina Grille. The waterfront views are beautiful and peaceful. They have a huge outdoor area, both covered and uncovered so you can be out there even when it's raining. We had rum buckets and shared a bunch of appetizers - what could be better than that lol The drinks were delicious and the appetizers were pretty good. The citrus calamari was the best by far. The view of the marina and boats is unique. Great place for sitting outside, in the patio (covered) or inside with air conditioning! Offers a nice variety of food that go nicely with drinks & beers. Pizzas are a little bigger than individual size. Appetizers - their calamari is a must try, a different take (not traditional with cocktail sauce). Of course they have burgers and fries and delicious fish dishes... We've been lucky to always have great and accommodating service! If we had picky eaters in the group or allergies, always willing to accommodate and offer recommendations. This place is awful. It's run by teenagers who are half brain dead. Young girl in the front had an attitude when requesting a table. Then they sat us outside right on the beaming with a baby. I went to Marina Grille to celebrate my anniversary. The location is beautiful -- we sat outside overlooking the water and had a great view of the sunset. The restaurant is quite popular so make a reservation or expect to wait to get seated. If you have to wait, take a seat at one of the ~3 bar areas. The food is really good. I ordered the Fish and Chips which was a crispy cod with fries and cole slaw. The food was cooked to perfection and was tasty. Prices are pretty reasonable. The restaurant has an inviting vibe and is a great place to grab a drink and have good food. Service was top notch. The place can accommodate groups large and small. Came on a Friday night and the waitress was nice but the food took over an hour to come out and I wouldn't recommend eating close to 9pm cause the band plays and it's extremely loud and people at the bar just stand infront of your table. Once our food finally came out I had to ask for boxes to take our food to go cause my ears felt like they were bleeding. Dinner for two on a Wednesday night...had a great experience. Friendly bartender tended to us while we waited about 25 minutes for an outside table. For our meal we LOVED the Spicy Garlic Shrimp as a starter. We'd go back just for that item! Shrimp cocktail was good. The Grilled Mahi Mahi special was good, albeit a little bit dry/overcooked. Once you get passed the parking app situation all is clear to have a great experience at Marina Grille. Place is massive and the views were ridiculous. They appeared to b well staffed which is amazing in today's climate. Great service and the seafood tower for $55 with the chilled lobster so fresh n stellar. Great wings too !! Corn fritters. Very casual restaurant on the water In Belmar. The staff was great. Went on a Holiday weekend with a group of 4 for dinner. The wait was around 30 minutes. Nothing beats the view! Marina Grille is my go to on Sunday nights as long as the weather permits outdoor dining. The view is unbeatable and the appetizers are delicious. The whole meal was good from beginning to end. I'd want to come back and try something else. Service was great too. The Sangria was strong and one pitcher was perfect for two people. The calamari was so good and I loved the citrus notes. That was unique from other calamari dishes. The fondue I wish was thicker but it was really good. And the seafood fras diavolo was delicious. I wish the sauce was a white sauce but the red was good. So much flavor packed in one dish. For dessert I had the chocolate chip cookie lava cake and it was the best. Food was very average- do NOT order the pasta. We ordered the spicy shrimp pasta and the white clam sauce linguine and the noodles had absolutely no flavor. The "spicy" shrimp pasta just tasted like plain buttered noodles. The seafood (shrimp and clams) also didn't taste fresh and were rubbery. Lovely seafood restaurant located on the piers of Belmar beach. I've been here twice with my family whenever I was in town and everyone enjoyed their experience. Parking wasn't too much of an issue, but the walk from the lot to the restaurant was pretty nice. All the boats are docked on the pier and the scenery is beautiful. I haven't experienced any wait time, we were seated fairly quickly. Maybe about within 5 minutes within checking in. The servers & staff were always friendly and knowledgable on the menu. The menu it self was broad. We talking from a list of seafood choices to your burgers and pizzas. Their drinks menu covers a broad variety like margaritas, beer, hard liquor, so no one really had a hard time choosing. We always sat outside even though there is an indoor seating option. The food was good; your typical American dishes. Wasn't anything out of the ordinary or bad? Just simply good and everyone had no complaints. Rude! Went today with my family to enjoy the nice weather, and we didnt know it was the St Patricks Day parade in Belmar, i checked the website and it did not mention it. When we walked in there was an older gentleman standing behind a booth and very rudely says its a $10 cover per adult and kids are free, i say okay can i see how long the wait is? He says WE HAVE OPEN TABLES, its $10 each i say okay and go to hand him my credit card he says so rudely CASH ONLY, i turned around and walked out. The food here isnt great, but the views are great. Most of our food was pretty good, but the $30 Lobster Roll that was served to use was very poor. Never mind the small portion, the lobsters pieces were dried out. Legitimately dried out pieces of lobster... They happily replaced it with a different choice, but out of all the lobster rolls I've had/enjoyed at the Jersey shore over the years, this was the saddest excuse for a lobster roll. I like going there to watch sports but I'd rather go in the summer time when the atmosphere is better. Clams and Oysters you can't go wrong with (usually lol). My only gripe was with the person shucking the clams and oyster with their mask half on and not covering her nose. The tuna tower was good until I got to the second layer of tuna , which just tasted like canned tuna. If I could I would give this place 3.5 stars (depending on the day). Came here a few times this summer and left with different feelings of satisfaction each time. It's nice to sit outside by the water and the inside garage look is cool but the food isn't as good as it should be considering the cost. Portions of the meals vary- the fra diavolo comes with a lot of great stuff and left me super happy and content, while the salmon left me super hungry and unsatisfied. The apps and pizzas I have had are great but once again the portions are so small for the price! My friends who have gone here felt the same way- too expensive for what they serve read more

I always drive by but I never stopped in. This place is an operation and has a huge dining area with a bunch of sections plus a big bar. We started with the warm pretzels with horseradish mustard. The mustard has a sharpness to it so it works nicely with the blank canvas that is a pretzel. The pretzel was soft and warm which always helps. We also got salads that come between courses if you order an entree. The salad was ok. The mahi mahi entree was just ok. I didn't think anything stood out. The Fish and chips weren't great either. What a wonderful Happy Hour on the water! Absolutely delighted with the options they have here in Belmar. After spending the day at the beach with my mom, we decided to grab a late lunch and that fit perfectly with their 3pm-7pm Monday-Friday Happy hour. The menu options were awesome including $9 for 6 oysters, $6 for shrimp cocktail (6 nice sized shrimp), $~7 for guac & chips and about the same for hummus. That's all the stuff we got. They also have $5 margs & bellinis! $2.75 beers too, niiiiiice. We were just hungry and didn't induldge in some drinks this time but the oysters were AWESOME, I was totally craving and they satisfied the craving--meaty and big oysters with horseradish cocktail sauce & a big lemon wedge. The guac came w delicious fried wonton chips and was super filling, the hummus was also really yummy and came w some veggies. Our server, Delaney, was super kind & attentive. This place is big... wide open, and great for drinks, especially in the summer when the back of the house is open onto the Marina. Great sunset spot, although usually very, very crowded. The food, on the other hand, is just this side of awful. I had better fish and chips in my high school cafeteria. The (quite limited) menu has nothing on it that's worth ordering, and that includes the (it's gotta be frozen) hamburger patty. Do better. read more
