WHAT a breath of fresh air this pharmacy is! Oh my gosh I'm so glad I never have to use CVS or Walgreens ever again lol. Everyone here has been so kind and extraordinarily accommodating with regard to my disability. They go over and above. They're actually interested in me as a human being. I feel like I can call and ask any kind of questions I have about any of my medication's even as they relate to different aspects of my health and well-being. It truly feels like a community neighborhood small business and I'm so happy I found it! I will say just as a heads up, the one drawback is that they do do not let you know when your prescriptions are ready so you do need to follow up. For me, it's a small price to pay. read more

Keep meaning to write a review - very much in agreement with the major majority of the posters, they are wonderful at this pharmacy have been utilizing Marina Pharmacy's services for a few years now. What led me to them was dealing with the larger chains: hit and miss with shortages, not filling the prescription because the provider is online. Had to have the provider get involved and they still had doubts. So, the provider mentioned trying a non-chain pharmacy and have been here ever since. Been picking up meds on this pharmacy for my partner and its really confusing their address is. I think theres a couple of marina pharmacy in the area and it keeps on giving me the wrong address everytime i type the name in. The service is good. Staff is no issue They have variety of medication u can get from them. The value is good as well. I meant ur copayment is all abt yr insurance plan so it doesnt really matter. Anything else they sell like chips are good price. So over all i recommend. read more

Forget the big chains. This place takes care of customers efficiently with kindness and expertise. If I have a question or a problem I get the answer from a human being who answers the phone. Never coming back here. Imagine coming in once a month to get your regular prescription for several months. I have asked my doctor to lower the dose, so he sent my updated prescription a week ago. Came in today to pick it up and got the following SHOCKING RESPONSE: "Sorry, we can't fill your prescription. We have a limited quantity and this is a new prescription" So I explain - I have been coming here for several months with no issues. All he did was lower the dose per my request. "Yeah we can't do it sorry there are other customers that need it and we have limited quantity" Am I not a customer? this isn't the first time I'm coming in for this prescription! I come in once a month!!! so you're telling me you're prioritizing other customers? ok, cool. WHY DIDNT YOU CALL TO NOTIFY? "Yeah sorry, we should have called" If that's not enough for you to never go there, I don't know what is. read more

Went the initially because it was on my list of pharmacies on my husband's insurance plan. Will keep going there because of the great service, ( two minutes to fill a prescription that takes 1 over an hr anywhere else!) The pharmacist, and her assistant are friendly and accommodating there are cards, and other conveniences, artfully displayed, and chairs to sit in while you wait! WHY go anywhere else! Conveniently located, in a small shopping mall, with plenty of parking, and easily accessible Handicapped spaces. This has to be the best pharmacy around. Every employee I've had the pleasure of meeting here has been nothing but incredibly kind and helpful. There is never a line, never a wait period. There's never a hassle. Its great They are small but full service and have everything the Costco pharmacy has to offer but without all the hassle and wait. My doctor calls and they fill the rx right away and if I bring a prescription in, they fill it in minutes and handle it with my insurance company in a jiffy Also the tiny store of otc items are priced even less than CVS. Glad I found this place, never going anywhere else. Parking is free if you get in and out in less than 15 or maybe 30 mins? Whatever the case, I've never paid parking. It's in the medical building next to Marina Del Rey Hospital, just off the lobby. So small, blink & you might miss it. My dermatologist suggested I go here for whatever OTC creams she wants me to use. So I take her advice, since she's located right upstairs in the same med building. I've noticed that Marina Pharmacy's products seem to be less expensive than the big chain drugstores. And I'll choose tiny, independent businesses over the big guys at every opportunity. No crowds here, just friendly & efficient service. This old gal loves to shop small. (About parking in the private lot that serves the hospital & med building: I pay $11 (the max, I think) every time I see my dermatologist. Other reviewers of the pharmacy mention parking might be free for the first 15 minutes, but I'm always there much longer so don't know about that. I've been going to Marina Pharmacy for a couple years, or more...All the length of time that I've gone there, it's excellent service, all of the staff very friendly, n super helpful...I feel good because as soon as I walk in the pharmacy they know me, n greet me by my name, and they're very quick. The best pharmacy I've been to in a long time. Small, family run pharmacy located in the Marina medical center. Prescriptions are always ready when expected and they will kindly deliver if you are located a reasonable distance away. Always friendly. This pharmacy shows what is clearly lacking in the corporate pharmacy nonsense that we experience at CVS and the like. When you visit Marina Pharmacy you are remembered, you receive customer service and the kind of support a patient needs. They take the time to make sure you understand your medications and they go the extra mile to work with insurance billing and other insurance bothers. I have a specific and unique situation with my medications. I can only fill one of my meds in LA and I live in OC. They make sure that the only one day a month that I am here is convenient and hassle free so I do not have to drive another 120 mile round trip just to pick up a medication. I have asked to try different pharma's versions of my pain med patch and she helped me out as best she could until we found the best patch. We have discussed the pros and cons of using a different meds generic version vs name brand to make sure I am making the best decisions for the right reason. I feel like they are on my side. After calling to confirm availability of my Rx was informed upon arrival they actually did not have it but "we can order it for you and have it in a week".
