Minus One: I'm taking away a star, because I was looking forward to picking up a product that showed in stock at this location. When I arrived, I was told that the product was not sold at the location at all. I had to backtrack and go to a completely different store, which had the product! Overall: Friendly customer service, as well as a friendly customer who also gave me a tip regarding the product I was looking for! Score!

It was the lowest price option and near me so I chose it. When I showed up, the cashier guy was friendly enough. When I was asked to pay, it was 2x what my online quote was from GoodRX, so I asked about it and then the manager or whoever behind him borderline yelled at me about how they "don't take that" and have their own rewards rates or whatever. Instead of just hashing it out with me with a dialogue so I could explain to them what I saw online to maybe help them figure out why GoodRX is showing the wrong price, they just intimidated me as if I was not going to pay or something. In the end it was the difference of like $15 so I didn't care that much and it probably isn't their fault, but the attitude was just weird. I won't go back.

I had a shocking and humiliating experience at Marina Del Rey Pharmacy…read more I went to pick up a prescription that had been called in by my doctor. The prescription was filled and I paid for it. As I was leaving the store, the pharmacist/owner began yelling across the pharmacy accusing me of "tricking" the cashier into filling it and demanded that I return medication I had already paid for. Instead of handling the situation professionally or privately, he loudly continued accusing me in front of other customers and even called the police while claiming I had done something wrong. I remained there waiting for law enforcement so the situation could be clarified, but no officers ever arrived. Being publicly yelled at and accused of wrongdoing while picking up a legitimate prescription is unacceptable behavior from a healthcare professional. Because of the seriousness of this incident, I have reported this matter to the appropriate regulatory authorities and have requested preservation of the pharmacy's surveillance footage. Patients deserve professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

Everyone here has been so kind and extraordinarily accommodating with regard to my disability. They go over and above. They're actually interested in me as a human being. I feel like I can call and ask any kind of questions I have about any of my medication's even as they relate to different aspects of my health and well-being. It truly feels like a community neighborhood small business and I'm so happy I found it! I will say just as a heads up, the one drawback is that they do do not let you know when your prescriptions are ready so you do need to follow up. For me, it's a small price to pay.

This pharmacy has never asked me to write a review, but just came back from there and was compelled to do so.

I came…read morein with a prescription from my dentist after a painful procedure and had received a text saying my medication would be ready within two hours. Upon arrival, I was told there was an insurance issue. Even when I offered to pay out of pocket, I was refused service because the manager wasn't there, and the staff member stated she "doesn't really work there." I was told to come back in a few days for my medication--but I was in pain and needed it immediately. I repeatedly explained that I was in pain and needed assistance. The employee initially refused to call my insurance, saying they wouldn't pick up their call, and only after I insisted multiple times did she make the call--at which point the issue was resolved immediately, and my medication was approved. As a patient fresh out of a three-hour dental procedure, I should not have had to spend 40 minutes pleading for someone to do their job simply because the manager wasn't present. It's unacceptable that a patient in pain must beg for help or know a manager's schedule in order to get a prescription filled at this location.

Then I hear a staff member a few aisles over talking to someone that said they didn't press the button. She comments back "That's the problem...they keep pressing the button but then they hide." I called over that I pressed it once and I haven't moved spots. She said she passed by and didn't see me. I mean I'm 5'9" and didn't move so not sure where her eyes were landing but sure wasn't in my direction. Then she had an attitude. I went ahead and placed a new order with this CVS and called them to ensure they could fulfill the order as it is Mother's Day and I knew it would be busy. I called and explained to Joanna what had happened and she said they could fulfill the order and would call me back. She called me back within 5 minutes to tell me they were fulfilling the order and bumping me to the top because of the experience I had had with the other CVS. I know it is a busy day because it is Mother's Day, but I appreciate so much the care and concern they both took. I want to say a special thank you to Joanna for going out of her way and then calling me back again to tell me my order was ready. After being left on hold for a very long time, someone finally answered and then immediately hung up. Since then, despite repeated calls, nobody has picked up. I've never experienced this level of poor communication at another CVS and was honestly shocked. I would strongly recommend avoiding having prescriptions sent to this location.
