I was looking for a number of gift cards and there were gift cards galore! Score! Personality Plus: Christina, the new manager at the CVS location, was so nice, super friendly! She helped me with all that I needed to get today, was super smiley & helpful the entire time! She rocks! Cute Dog Central: While getting additional items, a cute dog walk with its friendly owner! This CVS is so sketchy. I purchased 2 $100 Amazon gift cards here. Once the recipients opened them we realized both of them had been tampered with so we unable to redeem. When we reached out to Amazon with the specific gift card number they said it had already been redeemed, which tells me it was an inside job with an employee. Sketchy. read more

The pharmacists here are so nice, quick, and helpful. The location is so tricky because it attracts a lot of people who try to steal or cause other problems, but the staff here are always kind and helpful when we go in. Pretty much every time I've been there, there has been some sort of chaos - clearly drunken man shoving things in his jacket, woman with awful odor screaming and partially undressed blocking the door, man on the corner harassing women as they try to walk by. And the employees of this CVS roll with it. They are respectful, and firm, and as protective of the patrons as they safely can be. read more

Pharmacy employees here blatantly lie. I needed to get an rx delivered. I pay for CVS' extra care plus membership so I could get same day rx delivery for free. But their employee, named Vida?, said that it's no longer free and tried to charge me $10 for delivery. I pushed back and asked to speak to someone else, who confirmed that it should be free. The first person I spoke to then tried to berate me for calling the 'doctor's line', which I did not. She has a major attitude problem and needs to be fired. Who knows if she even tell me her real name. She sounded Armenian or perhaps Persian. They're scamming people here. read more

Beware: As of January, CVS now charges a "dispensing fee" which adds $10 to every. singe. prescription. (at least if you have Blue Shield. I cannot attest to other coverage). That means super cheap generics that used to cost $1.14 with insurance are now 10 TIMES the price. When you ask why it is so, the pharmacist shrugs and tells you to contact your insurance company. But it is NOT the fault of the insurance company. I put up with deranged junkies hanging out in the doorway, dirty/smelly store, and looooong waits at the pharmacy just because this place was convenient to my home. No more. I'm pulling all my prescriptions and transferring them to Ralphs. read more

Review of Sonal: I called this pharmacy a few times, it rings for ten minutes, then someone picks up and hangs up. 'They must be busy,' I thought. I wanted to make sure my prescription was ready because there has been confusion in the past. I got to the pharmacy 15 minutes before closing and no pharmacist to be found. 10 minutes late she came back from the bathroom. Bathroom breaks are--of course--fine. Even hanging up on callers because it's so busy is fine. What's not fine is hanging up on calls when the place is empty. Or refusing to fill a script because you'd have to work an extra 5 minutes past closing (or, just, do it a bit faster?). True to form, the text message confirming my script was ready for pick up was an error. I explained that I am on a train out of town first thing the next morning and need to fill this script tonight, but that yielded zero response beyond, "try and call another CVS." After pressing she tried to send me to another pharmacy (which was also closed). I asked her to call to transfer the script. She printed a page so I could have the number and do it myself. This is all while the pharmacy is still open. This is the kind of person who is not picking up the phone because she's really checked out well in advance of closing, and when she doesn't like your question, doesn't say, "give me a moment," or "I don't know," but just says absolutely nothing to you, turns her back to you, and walks away. Everyone has bad days, and I think extenuating circumstances aren't always known by customers, but this is my *third* negative experience with Sonal. This pharmacy would be better if let this pharmacist go. read more

This is your everyday, run-of-the-mill CVS, except for the gigantic clown in drag that hovers above the entrance. +1 star. We came in looking for some bottled water (LA tap tastes off to this water snob), and they had multiple, cheap options right in front of us. Good work, CVS. Bonus points because my lady friend felt the need to point out the Depends for Men as we were looking around. I don't like to leave bad reviews. But sometimes it's needed especially in this specific scenario. I'm not sure what the deal is with CVS Pharmacies in Southern California. But this is the second CVS Pharmacy I've had so much trouble getting prescriptions transferred/filled today. I'm not from here and accidentally left behind my prescriptions at home in Texas. I was able to get one of my prescriptions transferred through my Doctor. I called to check the status of prescription and ask for some help getting another one filled. I wanted to know what my options were. The guy I spoke with on the phone didn't seem to care or want to help me at all even with my emphasis on urgency and need. He also said my current prescription in progress may not even be ready by the original 6:25PM time it was scheduled to be filled. I politely said I really need this prescription and he said um no. I can't promise anything I've only had one pharmacist on staff all day so it will probably be tomorrow. Ummm....okay how is that my problem?! Your a pharmacy not a retailer or a fast food chain. I've never seen such unprofessional service honestly at any pharmacy before. I know now to never fill emergency prescriptions at CVS in California. It's currently 6:37 PM,pharmacy closes at 8PM. I don't know when I'll be getting my prescription. Hopefully by tomorrow morning. If this ever happens again,hopefully not I'll try Rite Aid next time I suppose. read more

transphobic and incompetent beyond belief. entered my insurance information incorrectly and then instead of helping or listening, or thinking at all- they put it on me to fix and figure out and then still blamed anyone and everyone but themselves. Once they saw my sex didn't match their expectations of my first name, it was refusal to help at all. The insurance agent tried to call her to correct her, She shrugged and said no one called. I said 'He is calling right now'- she replied 'oh I turned the phones off'- then She said she'd try calling, then just hung up the phone after two rings and walked away to lunch. Only after I retuned and wouldn't leave and just kept repeating the insurance agent who could see on their side, they were not entering the information correctly, was then it all suddenly worked. Transphobic and incompetent and took hours to sort out, in addition to the emotional pain of not being listened or helped just because they think Im lying about something because Im a trans person, with my drivers license, insurance card, insurance calling and my doctors approval for the meds. It's not ok to treat people like that. anyone. no matter what expectations your brain generates about them. read more

She looked grumpy and ignored a little machine plaintively repeating "One Pharmacy Call". Presumably some poor schmo is waiting on hold forever. the pharmacists themselves are nice people but you can't trust the pharmacy hours you see online . it's usually wrong. also there's a lot of theft at this store and the doors often get smashed and they have to use cheap plywood till they can get a new door then the cycle repeats lol read more

The woman there overcharged me by not taking my phone number for the CVS points and refused to Re-ring the sale. She became aggressive/bullying/intimidating when I tried to calmly address the issue. This CVS is like the size of my bedroom, all super small and compact. So I go here regularly to get my favvy Arizona Ice Tea, WHICH they usually have on sale for like .55 cents, bomb right? They have everything and anything you may possibly need. I don't understand how they fit everything in, its such a small ass location. Their customer service is pretty good, but I must admit I have grown a little crush on the cash register. haha not only is he super nice and helpful BUT he has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. haha too bad my boyfriend grew up with him (: * I would totally give them a 5 star if they had a better selection of trail mix. I can live off trail mix, its pretty intense. They have every single type of peanut in a can ( I'm not lying ) but only 1 brand of trail mix , c'mon your super slippinnn. read more

Not the best selection of stuff but definitely a good call for filling a prescription. The pharmacists are helpful and there's not usually a line at the pharmacy. For faster service I call my refills and or scrips in over the phone or do my transaction online. Pros: Fast friendly service. Cons: Limited selection of goods, Long lines at front checkout. read more

The main problem at this CVS is the Pharmacy Manager, Shiela. She is the absolute WORST person (not just pharmacist) we've ever come across. Sad thing is, they rest of the staff (pharmacists and cashiers, etc) are really nice and great but Sheila is just deplorable! Only because of her, we've moved all of our prescriptions over to the Rite Aid on Lincoln and will probably never visit another CVS again even though this one is only 1 block from our house! She not only lacks common sense but does not perform the due diligence necessary for a pharmacist and even messes up orders a lot. She is has no bare concept of customer service and often ignores customers and shuts the window on their face in the middle of the day (we've experienced this both firsthand as well as seen her do this to others), claiming she's on 'break in mid afternoon. Here's a list of our gripes and bad experiences and this has built up over 6months now to the point where our family can't take it anymore: - has no real accountability and due diligence as she has often gotten prescriptions wrong and then takes up to a full day to fix the error herself. The sad part is, when we've noticed a few of these errors but bring them back to the other pharmacists, they fix it right away but I guess she just has contempt for her customers. - never verifies prescriptions with the Dr when they come in electronically and will sometimes even fill a wrong one in her confusion/incompetence. When we most recently had an error, we caught it only after 6pm on a Friday (though she had the prescription since 1pm that day) and then refused to correct it or try to contact the drs and instead insisted we needed to wait until Monday earliest even though when I called back to the dr's answering service, they easily called the dr and had the prescription transferred within 15 min. She is TRYING NOT TO DO HER JOB and refuse sick people their medications. - Is often on break in the middle of her shift and will even shut the door on customers and tell them to come back 3 hours later after her 'lunch' - when a medication was not available that day that was needed, we tried to get it transferred to another pharmacy, she was out on break so I left her a message at he desk in person. Then the pther pharmacy tries to call her 3x in the next 2 hours but she never returned the calls. After 4 hours, we grow impatient and I call her directly and apparently, she claims she's been back for 3 hours and even admitted she received the messages but still did not follow up. I eventually had to put her on a conference call with my phone to make sure that she made the transfer, otherwise, my sick baby would not have gotten his medication that day. - Is generally rude to customers and very terse always - will never take responsibility for her mistakes and has even tried a few times to get us to pay 2-3 times for a prescription that she messed up for EACH iteration of her screw up I'm generally very cognizant and forgiving of people but she really needs to be fired before she ruins not only the CVS brand but the name of her profession as she is an utter disgrace. read more

The interior is dingy, the staff is depressed, and it's never a place that I'm super happy to visit. Like one of those awful hidden camera tv shows where they screw up your prescriptions, hang up on you after being on hold for 20 minutes, and have pharmacists who don't comprehend basic sentences, and then pop out saying "Just kidding! We would never be this terrible of a company" Oh nope-- it was real. I literally tried to transfer my prescriptions over to this store for 3 days. First doing so online, and apparently those forms don't go through. Then by the phone, where I was put on hold endlessly and then hung up on. Finally I had to get walgreens to call and sort it out because the pharmacist was so inept at understanding what was going on I just gave up. I'm a patient person but this blatantly unacceptable for a pharmacy. You're dealing with people's health, not their groceries. Bad employees at the front of the store are one thing-- but the pharamcists? Really? I've never had such a bad experience with trying to refill medication before. If I didn't live so close to here I wouldn't bother. Hopefully now that the "complicated" part is over things will go a little smoother when I come in for refills. Fingers crossed. This is your average CVS but with narrower aisles and a giant clown on the building. Ok... it's a little dingier and more understaffed and cramped than most CVS I've been in. I came in here for toothpaste, vaseline, and bandaids. I was impressed by the variety on the first and last items I was looking for. I would be sorry for blocking the aisle, but even with my big booty I'm a small lady and the aisles really are that tiny. read more

Seems like they have upgraded customer service. I found Sheila the pharmacy manager to be very knowledgeable and helpful. Since it used to be a Long's Drugs, they use a different distributor that other CVS stores if you're looking for a certain brand or generic drug. read more

Once again the worst possible service... Came in to get heat pads for a hurt shoulder and make a return... Manager refused to make a return bc the scanner was allegedly broken... Told me I could come back the next day and it might be working... Scanner was working enough for purchases tho. Consistently has been horrible service from always being out of prescriptions, to no one one knowing where anything is, to dirty products on the shelves. 1st off, thanks to whomever listened & started stocking hair color. This is my natural color but I just felt bad for all the women in the area who need help to look this good. 2nd, I utilize the pharmacy now since my last review & this has become by preferred one. The workers are knowledgeable & explained wonky insurance crap to me as well as they explained my meds side effects. No 5 star rating because they always run out of sale items. If you're going to do 2 for deals on the honey nut Cheerios, properly stock honey nut Cheerios. The workers here are lovely btw. read more

Sheila is the greatest Pharmacist. Of course she's totally overworked and under appreciated. She deserves better. If you show her a little humanity she will treat you so well. She always remembers me and treats me like a small town pharmacist. Thank you Sheila! The three stars is for the rest of this shabby excuse for a drugstore. Understocked and dirty are just a few of my complaints. I'll end by asking why the razor blades must be locked-up? Honestly, I would buy new blades every trip if it didn't involve hunting down one of the sleepy employees, asking them to find their keys, and amble over to the locked razor case. There are many other more expensive, unlocked items in the store.... so whats the deal? If they get stolen all the time, then put them in the front where you currently have corn chips or some other garbage. I live close and go there often. They haven't had popsicles or ice cream for the past 5 days, but they were selling bouquets of dead roses last week. Try hold your breath and don't talk to anyone as you walk in. Whatever that smell is out front can induce spontaneous vomiting. Also NO cash back, ever.
