I had my procedure done back in March and overall my experience was great. Pain is minimal, the only pain in the butt is the compression I had to wear for 6 weeks after, but it was all worth it. I had my flanks and hips done (not too noticeable areas) I went back to work in 3 days after the surgery. If you are thinking about going to Athenix to get any procedures done, PLEASE DO Not!!! I looked them up and met with Dr. Fellows for an apt to fix my left breast which had encapsulated. While I was in the consultation, one of his nurses started talking to me about any other issues that I has with my body. I have been an athlete my whole life and in good shape. I had a little bit of cellulite that was visible in my outer thighs and a little by my knees. When talking to Dr.Fellows he promises that he could make me look really sexy in a bikini and get rid of what was bothering me. I ended up believing him and going in to get my breast and some liposuction/sculpting done. He also said that I should get some kind of back pads removed to look better. I agreed since he is the expert in his field- something he told me repeatedly! Long story short, it is almost a year later and I am still swollen behind both arms, and my back still hurts and is swollen visibly. And the WORST- I look horrible- my legs are lumpy and have visible dimples and what looks like horrible cellulite all over- the back the front and even half of my bottom. I mortified!!! I just cry when I look at my body now, as I used to feel like I was sexy and had no problem wearing a bathing suit. To add insult to injury, I called him on 2 different occasions trying to talk to him, and never for a return call. I also had washboard abs- it was my best feature, and now my waistline looks like it has a small inner tube of fat around it that had settled there after he surgery. I look awful and feel awful for wasting $10,000 to look worse than I did going in! My breast is also not right- it is lower and off to the left with rippled skin. I am beyond regretful of my decision to trust Dr.Fellows and can't believe he tried to blame it in my genetics, and had the nurse weigh me to see if I had gained weight, which I hadn't! Shame on you Dr.Fellows!!! Just take ownership of your poor job. Like I said earlier- Run Don't Walk away from Athenix- HUGE REGRETS, HORRIBLE RESULTS, and DOCTORS that lie to you!!! DON'T DO IT!!!!! Went in to Athenix about 3 months ago for a consultation on a breast augmentation.Not only did I get a same day appointment but after meeting with Lonnie for less than 30 min I knew that was the place I wanted to get my procedure done and got to schedule my procedure that day. A week later I went in to meet with Dr. Azad for my pre-op and he was very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable and confident about going through with the procedure. I initially just wanted to do the Body sculpting procedure, however when I went for my consultation, Maribel was very professional and gave me some suggestions on what I needed to do for better results, she was absolutely right!!! Of course she is a professional at what she does and knew exactly what I needed to get the results i wanted, she told me I can do what ever I wanted but since I had 3 kids, I needed a mini tuck to stretch out that excess skin that would be left with just the micro sculpting, I am so glad I trusted her because I know I would have been unhappy if i didn't go for the mini tuck, Thank you Maribel!!! So exactly 2 years since my abdomen body contouring procedure. I have to say I'm disappointed. My gut seems to have popped back out and back fat returned. I still exercise and watch what I eat but my belly is almost at square one. I'm still paying for the procedure and back to hiding in cover ups. The two first things I noticed about Athenix, aside from being close to my home in Pasadena, was upon entering the office, the aesthetically pleasing and comfortable decor of the waiting room, and separate consultation rooms. The second thing I noticed, was the beautiful and cordial female staff. They are both friendly and diverse, which I would assume, would make most clientele comfortable about booking procedures, and comfortable in their own right, in their own skin, for planning whichever procedure they may choose at the time. Melissa, my consultation specialist, was not only beautiful herself, but has a way of instilling a level of confidence, in an honest way, that one needs to feel, before having any kind of cosmetic procedure performed. I had been a client at Athenix a few times, for short spa procedures, since moving into the area a year and a half ago. All good!! The procedure I had fantasized about for almost two decades, (breast augmentation), was one of which some personal obligations seemed to get in the way of, in my past. Finally, my fantasy was brought to reality, in the Fall of 2015, at Athenix, by Dr. Rizvi and his staff. Dr. Rizvi listens, and cares about what it is that YOU want, with regards to results, and does not try to sell you on his own subjective view. His concerns are your wishes, and any health risks that could possibly occur. This review is long overdue! After deciding to get some velashape treatments done last year, I found Athenix on Yelp and decided to give them a try. I was a bit skeptical as I have heard mixed reviews about this treatment. When I walked in for the first time I was greeted by Tara and she was so amazing! She explained how velashape worked and was so honest about everything. Needless to say I purchased my package that day and started my treatments ASAP. I had fat transfer done there a couple of years ago where they moved fat from my flanks and belly to my breasts and I am very happy with the results. It made a major difference in my body. I had an amazing experience from the 1st day I stepped into his office for my consultation. Melissa was such a sweet heart, she makes you feel extremely comfortable and welcomed. The staff took their time to get to know me and what I wanted from my surgery. I didn't feel rushed at all. Dr. Azad was extremely honest from day one. I loved how he reassured me that I did not need a tummy tuck. I had previously heard from another surgeon that I needed one and I quickly said no to that doctor. That's not what I wanted. Athenix would easily get 5 stars after my VelaShape treatments -- if they only offered a discount to loyal customers. The facility was terrific and the staff simply lovely; I have no complaints. The issue is with VelaShape -- a procedure that is worthwhile only if one is willing to dedicate hundreds of dollars a session every week for 6-8 weeks... and then "upkeep" every few months year after year. If the procedure was permanent, the initial cost would be worth every penny, but it is not. The first time I came in for my appointment, they said I am not ever scheduled in their system! I showed them the confirmation email from them then they squeezed me in. The 2nd appointment, I was called one hour before to cancel my appointment but I did not know it till 30 min while I was on my way. Today is my third appointment. When I came in, they said again I was not scheduled! I told them I was scheduled today at the front desk after last meeting. The girl told me she cannot see I have any appointment other than the last one. The following morning I called in and I scheduled and an appointment for a consultation. I was able to come in the same day I called which was awesome! When I arrived I meet Kelsey. She did my initial consultation. After getting a run down of the cost and procedure I was interested in which was lipo, I went home and thought about it. About a month after I decided I was going to go ahead and get the procedure done. I called back to Athenix and spoke to the wonderful Melissa! She is amazing! At times I can be unsure of things like anyone else and had a ton of annoying questions for Melissa. Melissa was able to answer each and every one of my questions with passion and confidence.
