I can't speak on the customer service because I didn't talk to anyone. I ordered at the kiosk and they called my number and that was it. I paid $19.45 for my meal. I order a side of falafels (3) and the street bowl with beef flank, tzatziki, and mild red pepper sauce. The falafels were way too crispy. I feel like compared to other falafels I've tried these were on the hard side. Thankfully I had some tzatziki sauce to dip them in, if I didn't, they would have been a little hard to eat. The flavor was okay but the texture was not appealing. I really wanted to get beef shawarma but they were out so I opted for the beef flank. I wish I would have just gotten chicken instead. The bowl came with rice and a lettuce salad that was underneath the beef. I'm not sure if the lettuce had arugula in it as well, but the lettuce gave sort of a bitter taste which I did not care for at all. Did not taste good so I would add a lot of tzatziki sauce to it to cut down on the bitter taste. The beef was okay, nothing to rave about. I was just very underwhelmed with my food. Not sure if I would give it a try again. If so, I would definitely get something else or build my own bowl maybe. Try it for yourself and see how you like it.

My Mamas Vegan is an excellent Black Owned/Woman Owned/vegan restaurant located in Baltimore…read more I pre-ordered the Super Bowl Slider Platter from My Mamas Vegan. Pre order was easy, I did it all via my phone a couple of weeks in advance. Pickup was also super easy, I found parking right on the street, went in, and had my food all in my hands in less than ten minutes. The slider tray consisted of 10 Sliders. There were two each of Meatball Parm, French Onion Melt, Cheeseburger Cheesesteak, BBQ Jackfruit and Oyster Chick'n. All of them were well done, held up in transit and tasted good as leftovers. That being said, the BBQ Jackfruit were my favorite. If you ever have the chance to get your hands on her BBQ Jackfruit, definitely do it! The sliders came with three sides: a container of Bourbon Baked Beans, Traditional Mac Salad and Chips and Chili Queso These were also well done. Price wise, My Mamas Vegan seemed comparable to other vegan places in the area. I think the slider tray cost about 40 dollars and I, eating everything myself, had leftovers for days. The menu is constantly rotating. Follow their Instagram page where they list their weekly menu as well as specials and pop ups that are running or will be coming up.

Wish I could have purchased half the size and added another food item because I wanted to try more, but you know how those vegan prices are... Street parking is available. The cashier was nice, helpful and patient. I asked alot of questions. I will definitely return to try other items. It was great to see vegan dessert is offered and meal prep grab n go items were available too. This is a carryout place, not a sit down and eat restaurant. Inside is small and basic

Diasporan Soul is a small family-owned restaurant in the Hamilton neighborhood offering a variety…read moreof plant-based and traditional Jamaican American fusion. In my opinion, finding good Jamaican food in the area has been a challenge. Often too sweet and not packing enough flavor. But Diasporan Soul has put that opinion to bed. When you walk into Diasporan Soul they have a very nice Afro-centric dining area as well as a sort of apothecary selection for patrons to browse and buy when the dining room is open. However, the night I stopped by they seemed to be doing only carry out, which you order in the back of the restaurant. My go-to order is always jerk chicken with cabbage, rice & peas, and a beef patty. And Diasporan Soul did not disappoint. The jerk chicken was smoky, seasoned well, and fall off the bone tender. However, next time I'll ask to have my chicken topped with some sauce because that would've definitely taken it over the top. The cabbage was buttery and cooked perfectly and the rice was delicious. The beef patty was actually one of the better beef patties I've had here in the area, with a decent amount of filling. If you're in the area or looking for a new Jamaican restaurant to try, then you have to give Diasporan Soul a try. The service was pleasant, and the food was delicious and plentiful. I can't wait for my next visit.

I think it's excellent in general, not just compared to other vegan restaurants. I give Great Sage 5 stars, meaning everything was tasty and I was impressed. Well balanced flavor in all the dishes. Cheese didn't feel oily or fake, just nice and creamy. Staff is great. Space feels clean and open. Wish it was a little cheaper so I could come more often. However FYI - happy hour on M-F 3-6pm where tapas are $6 instead of $9 and appetizers are $12 instead of $18. Definitely makes it more doable!

Hey friends! This is an unfortunate review. So, the first time I visited Great Sage, I felt the…read moresense that I wasn't welcomed. More particularly, because of my race. I didn't comment nor react to that feeling as I didn't have hard evidence as the staff did not blatantly do/say anything to me. Fast forward, to a year later at my next visit. That feeling was confirmed. Both times I visited with my godmother, who is Caucasian. My issue is with the hostess and NOT the entire staff. It started when we entered and my godmother was greeted warmly and I got a side eye. Hmmm. When we were leaving, I was walking in front of my godmother, she was about two feet behind me. The hostess say absolutely nothing me as I walk by but says "have a great night" to my godmother. To me, these were blatant acts telling me that I was not welcomed. This is unacceptable and unfortunate. Everyone should be allowed and feel welcomed in any establishment regardless of race. This behavior from the hostess was disappointing. I will not be returning to Great Sage.

I ordered the following items on Uber Eats: - Curry Puffs - Vegan Nuggets - Salt & Pepper Tofu - Black Pepper Ban Mein w/ Thick Noodles The portion sizes for the main dishes (Salt & Pepper Tofu and Ban Mein) were generous, about 2-3 servings and shareable. Which is pretty amazing considering the Ban Mein was $10 (on Uber Eats). I made sure to try a mix of dishes that both featured and didn't include meat substitutes...I was WOW'd by all of the food! As a meat eater, the vegan beef in the Ban Mein was very well seasoned and the flavor indiscernible from real meat. I was especially shocked by how much I enjoyed the vegan nuggets. They had a slightly nutty flavor (likely due to the oil) and a great texture. The salt & pepper tofu and curry puffs were standard, but good. Overall, the food at this restaurant runs a little spicier than usual American Chinese spots. Flavors like curry and five spice came through more, and two of the dishes I ordered used fresh peppers (instead of just pepper flakes). I loved it and will be ordering again!

One of the best meals I've had in Baltimore! And the service is exceptional!…read more Oleum is an upscale vegan restaurant with a large variety of menu options. Our server, Josie, went above and beyond to take care of us. She provided excellent recommendations and was super friendly and attentive! We ordered the Batata Harra, Saltat Marrakech, and the Stuffed Dates for apps. All of them were incredible, but the Saltat was so refreshing and the Dates truly stole the show. The creamy ricotta filling with red pepper sauce was to die for. For mains, we shared the Lasagna and did a half and half pizza of The Gabriel and the Toum Raider. The lasagna was super savory and very filling--perfect to share! I enjoyed both pizzas, but the Gabriel was my favorite. I loved the combo of the nutty pesto and spicy Calabrian chilis. Josie brought out a cupcake for dessert to celebrate my friend's birthday, and it was probably one of the best vegan treats I've ever had! Can't wait to come back next time I'm in town!

I had the pleasure of speaking to Tony who not only checked himself but spoke with the chef to confirm the menu was peanut free. * Note there are peanuts used in the cocktails * it was a true pleasure to have an allergy taken seriously and made us more confident to take our daughter there. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very personal and quaint, there was a high chair available for our daughter to use. All the servers were incredibly friendly and helpful. For the food we tried the stuffed dates, miso mushroom bucatini and the toum raider pizza. The stuffed dates were recommended by our waitress and they were delicious. They were both sweet, savory and a little spicy. The walnuts that topped it were a nice touch to add texture to the already soft dates, I enjoyed it a lot. The miso mushroom bucatini was also a favorite of ours as it didn't taste vegan at all to us. It was creamy and the pasta was cooked well. My daughter enjoyed this a lot. The pizza wasn't my favorite but I'm also not a huge fan of vegan cheese so that is my fault but the miso mushroom bucatini was truly so delicious. Overall I really enjoyed the experience, the service was impeccable and I would definitely visit here again!

Got the vegan black bean quesadilla and mixed berry muffin. At 99 cents each, the muffin is a great price. It looks and tastes homemade, and not as sweet and "cakey" as other commercial bakery muffins. It was moist with sweetness from mostly the blueberries and cranberries (nothing dried, all fresh). Loved it and will buy again. The quesadilla was made to go on a hot skillet. The tortilla was perfectly toasted and crispy. It was stuffed with vegan cheese, black beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and corn. The beans were seasoned well (chipotle) and the vegan cheese and veggies complemented perfectly. Came with also a side portion of spicy crema sauce which added a kick to the dish. Staff was polite, food is great! Will continue supporting these businesses!

Back then the food quantity and the service were top notch-great service with a smile and good quantity portion size. Since then, everything has gone downhill and this place is hit or miss depending on who makes your food, not to mention that anything worth having or anything that is not a cheap item has been removed from the menu (ex: hearts of palm, and now even the popular jackfruit tacos!) Only the cheapest ingredients left behind such as beans, chickpeas, onions, cilantro so they can major profit more and more. The menu has become boring to everyone I know with no exciting new items but just the same old and taking away certain items that the customers love. (Other Moms locations I go to switch up their menus with yummy offerings that Ive never seen offered at this location) Their prices have also gone up quite a couple of times since before covid and on top of that their portion sizes have lessened by more than 50% and still they get stingy only at this location when scooping the scoops always shaking the spoon to lessen the portion of each scoop and still finding sneaky ways to raise the prices more or take away anything that might cost more. Ive also noticed they only hire Hispanics now which I don't care but they definitely do not give service with a smile and half the time they don't understand what you are asking for and get rude if you sub or ask for something that might require a change. I am Spanish so of course I understand the language and alot of times they talk bad or whisper to each other right in front of me when you are undecided or make changes to the menu items. In my opinion, a different manager is needed that values customer service as the current manager is rude and does not like when you ask for substitutions and very stingy as well with portion sizes. Back in the day if i wanted half a scoop of one topping and half of another on my tacos it was ok, not anymore. A lot of people who don't come here often rate good as a good lunch spot but when you come here consistency, you start to see the flaws and lack of service,
