They put something delicious in that pork, and the sauce on the aloha fries adds the perfect tangy kick. I was a little disappointed in the SPAM sliders and mac salad. I love some good spam, but it was not very flavorful at all. Same with the mac salad. We got two Hawaiian suns drinks, Green Tea Lychee and Strawberry Lilikoi, which never disappoints. Overall, I would definitely go back and try some of they're other menu options. Seems like a great place for a nice day or if you're craving some hawaiian style dishes! Serves the Aloha sprit in the gloomy Seattle weather through their food. I think the gorgeous views of the city, great location and ambience are more enticing than the food while the food is just about 4 star worthy (definitely good). I drove almost 50 mins to get here since I had heard so much about it. I got the Miso ginger chicken tacos, Spicy pork Tacos and Fish Tacos. They were all good with spicy pork and chicken being my favorite. I would give 3 star to the fish because, keeping with the Hawaiian theme, I had the fish tacos served with some some sort of slaw (mango or pineapple) with fired fish. It was different but not bad (but not great either) Similar thing goes for the meat tacos. The meat itself was great but I lacked the sweet and citrussy punch from the slaw. Daily options feel a little limited. Views are winning during the summer season. Plates are classic and their luau pork is good. Have had aloha fries- large portion with good flavor. Sometimes a little salty. Marinated spicy pork is heavy handed on the Gochujang- not spicy but flavor wise a little muddled. Red pepper flakes give a cleaner taste. Tacos are fine. I have had Marination Ma Kai bookmarked for a hot minute and I finally had the chance to come here recently. First off, they aren't doing indoor dining at this time. It's all outdoor dining, which is a treat because you get to sit outside and get a great view of downtown Seattle. So why the three stars? We'll get to that. We ordered the loco moco, luau plate lunch (with miso ginger chicken) and two spam musubi's. We came hungry so we were all looking forward to our food. And this is where the stars come off. While my loco moco with the hamburger patty and the gravy tasted good, the rice was severely undercooked. The same with the rest of our orders including the spam musubi. Even when I took home the one leftover musubi and reheated it the next day to eat, the rice you can tell was still undercooked. Other than that, everything else tasted great, but being a huge fan of rice it really made the experience not so great. Everything else from the service and the quickness of our orders coming out was exceptional, oh and did I forget to mention the view of downtown Seattle being great? This place is easily accessible by taking the water taxi from Pier 50 in downtown Seattle and this place is located literally right as you step foot off the boat. Or you can also drive here and there's plenty of parking. Despite my not so great first experience, I will definitely give this place a try some day! read more

Located right at the ferry entrance, we heard a lot of Seattle natives saying this was a must stop! As soon as we got our bike from Wheel Fun, we rode right back for a sweet and cold treat! The line is LONG, and getting your treat takes forever and a day! They offer up to three flavors, so we went with guava, mango and coconut- all being delicious. TLDR: food is alright, location is great, service...much to be desired. Purchased a Too Good To Go order. The pickup time is 7:45-8:15 and arrived at 8. One of the workers outside raised his voice at me and said they were closed but I said I had a TGTG order and he said to ask the guy inside the window. Maybe he was having a bad day but no need to give attitude and be an asshole. If you take the ferry to West Seattle from Downtown, you can get to this spot right when you get off. It's right there on the dock. So you get that experience along with some good eats. Katsu sandwich was flavorful, not dry. The fries were delicious and actually we also had some plain fries and those were pretty good too. The deal here is that you get in like, order your food and they provide you with one of those flashing, vibrating coasters to notify you when your food is ready I've tried a bunch of things, fish tacos, pork sliders, spam musubi or the KIM bee fried rice. All good, all delicious. And, as the lady seated next to me pointed out, the food from Marination comes out still hot! Which makes it even better. The prices aren't cheap, but reasonable. This is such a unique place with lots of varieties offered! We went for the Kim chi fried rice and fish tacos. The tacos were okay but the fried rice was so delicious, we added the kalbi beef and it was insane how good it was. I considered getting the Kim chi quesadillas as well but we wanted to try another dish with the fried rice. They do have the aloha fries back again but we didn't see that til we ordered already - definitely looks like it's worth trying and I regret not getting it! Besides the food, people of course come here for the views of the city skyline and it doesn't disappoint. Their Kahlua pork is one of the best I've ever had...and I've been to the Hawaiian Islands 5 times. The pork is very lean and moist...My standout favorite of everything we tried here. The line is out the door but it goes quickly as there is a cashier who takes the order and then hands out the buzzer so you'll get buzzed when you get your food. I ordered takeout online and got my food right when they promised I would get it. Warning that you want to order in advance (if ordering takeout) as the wait can be anywhere between 30-45 minutes. I got the fried fish with miso tartar sauce that comes with the fries. It was delicious. My husband got the pork sliders and we also ordered the aloha fries to share. Everything was good but for me it's probably just a one time visit. I don't think it is worth going out of your way for. The flavors are unique but it didn't wow me. My favorite was the sliders which we got half spam and half pork. These were way better than sliders I've had at other fusion restaurants and I enjoyed trying the different meats. However, I would not recommend the kalbi. Although I enjoyed the coleslaw and mac salad it came with, the meat was nothing special. I've had better at regular Hawaiian restaurants. Fish n chips was a solid 2/5 (you only get two pieces of fish and then a ton of fries) but the kimchi sauce was nice. I tried the other sauce (miso ginger) and I was not a fan of it.
