The pho broth at Alki Pho is probably the best, most authentic broth without being overly sweetened or heavily spiced, that I've had in the PNW. It's perfectly balanced with a complex richness and depth that still feels light and comforting. I don't get that, "I need to chug 3 gallons of water stat" feeling after having this pho which is how a lot of the SEA food out here makes me feel. The carefully braised meats (and chewy tendon) are really nicely made as well. Not gamey at all! This is definitely my go-to for pho takeout in all of Seattle. Trust me on this... not only does this kinda broth run through the veins of my ancestors but I'm from SoCal so I know real, good, authentic SEA food. The pork eggrolls are also super YOMMM. The wings are just ok... but I'd skip the fried tofu at all cost! They were seeping with oil and the fried batter was weirdly super gummy/chewy while also lacking any hint of flavor or seasoning. Yuck! I had to throw those out and I am NOT a food thrower-outer!! But yeah- get at that pho tho! And those eggrolls! Thank me later. read more

This place is straight up legit!!! I am going on a limb and say this is the best oxtail pho I have ever had . The broth is so flavorful on its on. It doesn't need the hoisin sauce or sriracha. Some of the best fried chicken wings as well. Lightly battered, crunchy in the outside and juicy inside. Such a warm and welcoming staff. Great atmosphere for mostly any celebration. A great place to eat if visiting Alki beach. There's tons of seating with both outside and inside options. There's place looks nice, with dimmer lighting and tasteful decorations. They offer typical Vietnamese food options. I got their Banh Mi sandwich and chose pork for the meat. It was very tasteful and was nice and juicy. My wife wanted a Bahnmi sandwich but she had also been craving pho, so it seemed like the perfect place to check out and maybe add to our list of go-to spots when we're in town. The decor was clean and comfortable--nothing flashy, just a nice, welcoming setup. It's not a huge place, but there's a fair amount of seating, especially when you include the bar area. The overall vibe is kind of a mix between a sports bar and an Asian restaurant, with TVs in the bar showing different games, which is great if you like to catch some sports while you eat. They also have a full bar, so you can enjoy a drink with your meal or just relax with a cocktail while watching a game. My wife ordered the combo pho, and I went with the chicken and shrimp vermicelli bowl. The service was excellent--Jenni and the rest of the staff were friendly and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that the vermicelli bowl came with just two shrimp on a skewer. To get more, I had to order the shrimp skewers separately, which came with four skewers and two shrimp on each. That part could've been better, but the food itself was delicious--fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. Stop by to visit my friend while she was working. I had eaten not too long ago so I just wanted wings and drinks while my friend ordered pho. I had to request if they'd do salt and pepper wings since I wasn't feeling fish sauce wings close to 9pm ahaha. Luckily, the agreed to make it. The tamarind whiskey sour is delicious, love that tartness to it and the wings were sooo good. I wasn't expecting much but they exceed my expectation. The little salad that accompanied the wings were nice to have as well. I wanted rice but I didn't want to order it. Location isn't convenient if it's busy but the space is fairly large and so cute. We love this spot! The staff is super friendly, and they even let us bring our dog--both on the patio and technically inside the restaurant on a nice day when the doors were wide open. The food is fresh and delicious, though definitely on the expensive side. It's a bit overpriced for Vietnamese cuisine, which is typically more affordable, but given the prime Alki location in West Seattle, the higher prices make some sense. There's also a nice view of the water, which adds to the experience. We've been here several times and always enjoy it--just be prepared to pay around $15+ for a banh mi and $20+ for pho. I have been here several times with my friends. The food has been very delicious! However, tonight's experience was not all that wonderful. We came in around 8:30pm, when they told us the last call would be 8:40pm as the kitchen was closing and they close at 9pm. They didn't have a bartender today so I could not order cocktails, and I only ordered wine. We decided our drinks and food and ordered by 8:40pm. We enjoyed our food and realized we would not be able to finish our food in time so we asked for boxes. Then, they were so eager to close down the restaurant that they took away the sauces and packed our food into our boxes right at our table when we were still eating. I understand after covid, restaurants all seem to want to close early. But this was our first time experiencing being rushed out of the restaurant which we did not appreciate. I was pleasantly surprised by the Vermicelli Combination Bowl, which came with grilled chicken, prawns, pork and egg roll. It's probably one of the best I've had in Seattle. Highly recommend! The oxtail Pho was nothing special, broth was bland, and came with only a few not-too-tender oxtail pieces. Service was good. Price is high, but that's expected.
