My first time at Marino's did not disappoint. My sister had recommended the restaurant to me and I couldn't wait to try it out. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted politely at the door; asked where I would like to be seated; and, then escorted to my table. This absolutely great level of service and attention to my needs and that of my guest continued until we left. Both my friend's Pasta Carbonara and my Chicken Parmesan were luscious and plentiful. The garlic rolls were super, too. In fact, good enough that I ordered a dozen to take home with me! Also a XL cheese that 3 picky teenage girls devoured, and was lucky enough to grab the last 2 orders wing super tasty wings! Staff are great. This place is newly renovated and it looks great but the food is meh to say the least... I ordered a Cesar salad and it had a HUGE reddish brown HAIR in it... my waitress was very apologetic and she offered to bring me another but I was disgusted so I said no, thank you. Next she offered some bread rolls I said okay sure while we wait on our pizza (she made it seem like this was on the house due to the hair in my salad) to my surprise it was on my bill... it's not about the price because of course I can afford a few bucks for some bread rolls but my point is it should have been on the house considering you just served me a salad with a huge hair in it. Fast forward to the pizza it was good but to be honest Mikes pizza in the same shopping center taste WAY better and has more specials for lunch. I should have gone to Mikes but wanted to give this place a try anyway a gentleman approach me and my daughter asking how things were and I told him about the hair and he was like "yeah it's out of our hands it probably came from our vendors" um ‍ okay... I don't think these are the correct words to say to a paying customer... but OKAY. I paid for my bill and the waitress kept having issues with the card not being read (never had any issues before) finally she grabs another device and it goes thru I still left her a 20% percent tip since I felt bad and she was very kind to my daughter but I most likely won't be back here. I'm a regular at Marino's and everytime I pick up an order from them or I go to dine in, at least one customer will complain about the smallest detail and then try to get their food for free (talk about cheap!!!!) Or they will be just flat out rude and then complain about the service. All I'm saying if you really don't like their service or their food stop ordering from them!!! Don't be the person that will turn the smallest mistake, like forgetting to give you the extra sauce you asked for, and try to get something free out of it (I've actually witnessed this).... My husband and I have been ordering from Marino's for over a year. We were known for our mid-week/weekend order of the 'family special' whenever we or our children had a craving for pepperoni pizza, rolls, and fried calamari. We decided to have a pizza night for our son's sleepover party and placed an order with Marino's. We were told we would receive our order in 45 minutes (which was the usual and would almost always receive it sooner). We waited the 45 minutes, until it soon became an hour. Due to the stormy weather, we assumed that was the reason for the delay and continued to wait. After an hour and a half, I called to find out about our order. My call was answered by a rude, obviously poorly trained 'new' employee who proceeded to say 'I don't know what to tell you mam'. After moments of silence the manager took the phone and attempted to apologize for the delay due to the 'ridiculous' weather. I explained that the location was less than a mile from our home and the rain had stopped in our area over 30 minutes ago. The manager ensured us that the driver would be there momentarily. Now an hour and forty-five minutes later and still no pizza delivery man, I told my husband to go pick up a carry out special at another local pizza joint and I would cancel our original order with Marino's. I called back and the same rude employee answered and without any apology cancelled our order nd quickly hung up. Two hours after our original order was placed there was loud thumping at our door. I don't mean knocking, I mean thumping loud enough as if someone was trying to knock down our door. I answered and surprise--the delivery man. I told him I cancelled our order 15 minutes prior. He turned and walked away with no words. I would have left this matter alone had the staff been more understanding of the situation. This unfortunately was the last straw for us. While the food was always on point, the staff whether dining in or placing a phone order was always rushed, rude, and 'ridiculously' disorganized. Try Amichi's, Mike's, Steve's, Two Brothers for equally good food, a much more pleasant staff and a better business sense. read more

Let me be clear: the pizza here is TERRIBLE, which is ironic of a place that has pizza in the name. The only thing good about this place is the pasta, make no mistake. I've ordered pizza from this place before, but i ordered again last night hoping that it would be better then the last two times, it wasn't, a small pizza here cost a whopping $17 if i remember correctly, and it tastes like frozen box pizza that you buy at publix. Hell, i've had better pizza from pizzahut or aldi's frozen section. This is a good family restaurant to eat at. It's not huge, and sometimes there can be a little wait. The pizza here is amazing! You can order a regular cheese pizza or any specialty once. Either way, you can't go wrong because it's so delicious. The ziti at this place is also pretty tasty. They melt a nice layer of cheese and bake it in the oven for a nice crispy layer. With this meal also comes garlic rolls which are probably the best garlic rolls I've had, drenched in garlic and oil. You can also choose between a soup or salad, which again, are both good choices to choose from. The service at this place is amazing. This place is ridiculous. To begin with, it took 90 minutes to deliver a pizza 16 blocks down the road to world of beer. Following, the order was completed wrong and there was toppings that I were on the entire pizza when I requested they be on half, sucks if you're a vegetarian. Lastly the pizza is cold. Out of Amici Pizza and Mike's Pizza, this is the best so far. Yeah, sure it's a little greasy for my taste (thank goodness for napkins) but it's worth it. I ordered their Garlic Rolls and a Large Pepperonni Pizza for delivery. Beware: their wait time is 45 minutes to an hour (or at least when I called) but again, it's worth it! I thought I had written a review but apparently not. My first visit was 5 stars. The rolls were soft and amazing, the penne with pink sauce was the best I've had, the price is very good and the service was great. I have downgraded down to 4 stars for a few reasons: 1) the price on a medium Alfredo pizza was around $16 2) the garlic rolls are no longer fluffy. They are hard and chewy, the type that makes the table shake when you try to cut it. 3) my favorite penne pasta with pink sauce tasted very different 4) my favorite pasta comes with a soup or salad when I asked for an upgrade to the lobster bisque and my server said no and I never got my free soup or salad. Instead I was charged over $8.50 for lobster bisque. Rounding up $9 for lobster bisque at this location????! It better be great (it wasn't) 5) my $9 lobster bisque was watery and had NO pieces of lobster (I really want to downgrade the stars to 3) I don't mind paying $12 for a bowl at Trulucks where the pieces of lobster are visible and the soup is flavorful. Why the 4 stars? I'm hoping that it was just the last two visits like this because the restaurant is delicious (except for the lobster bisque) but this place isn't close to me. My hubby grew up eating at Marino's and I've been visiting Miami for 13 years and not tried it once. We finally changed that this past week when myself, my 2.5 year old and my in-laws visited on a Friday night. Pizza: Growing up in IL, I was spoiled with deep dish Chicago style pie and never really understood the fuss of NY style pizza until I visited Lombardi's in NYC one year. Then it clicked and now, after visiting Marino's I can say I'm a deep dish convert (well, maybe only a partial convert). We ordered a large half ham/onion and half pepperoni. My first reaction was, wow that's a lot of ham (not the little cut up bits you're used to) and mmmm the sauce is delish. We also had a chance to try the meatballs (I ordered a side of three for my little one) and they were moist and well seasoned. The food was a win! Service: Our server was nice and pretty quick for a busy night. My in-laws know one of the other guys who has apparently been waiting tables there for years. You could tell the waitstaff had some experience as everything was flowing very efficiently. Ambiance: You can tell it's a local favorite as it was VERY busy with what seemed like regulars. A little loud (but when dining in Miami I expect this :) ) but cozy enough for a strip mall joint. On the evening of 10/27/2021 I was celebrating my daughter's birthday at this restaurant because it was recommended by a friend. The food was delicious, but the service of the person who attended us, an elderly man, was horrible apart from that, when the bill arrived the man grabbed me by the arm and began to accuse me that where was his tip. I have never really felt like this in a restaurant, I felt threatened by that man with the pressure that he demanded to tip him. Anyway in a $ 200 us bill we left him $ 60 which he personally didn't deserve, but for the food and the female waitresses they behaved wonderfully, that's why we left the tip. read more

They had a pretty sweet deal that included an extra large cheese pizza with 10 piece chicken wings and a two liter soda for $24. The family was craving Italian food and wanted to try something new and saw this place on UberEats and I am aware Kendall residents rave about this place. Although I'm always skeptical about opinions of Kendall residents since I am convinced they lack a developed palate we decided to give this place a shot. We placed a large order which consisted of two slices of cheese pizza, 1 sicilian with bacon, half dozen garlic rolls, lasagna with salad, and linguine carbonara. The garlic rolls arrived warm and seemed to give this place a decent outlook although they lacked garlic and oil to my liking. The slice of Sicilian was not good at all, the bread was doughy, the sauce was bland, and the cheese had a rubbery texture. The lasagna was also bland and lacked seasoning, the meat had a dog food consistency. The carbonara was overly sauced and had a bunch of sliced deli ham, this was also bland and lacked seasoning. To my reluctance i decided to try the Pasta e Fagioli soup that came with the food and that was also bad as it just tasted like a hjspanic made white beans and threw in some pasta. Lastly, My 4 year old daughter didnt even finish one slice of pizza as the cheese was rubbery and the crust was a soggy and floppy mess. Because of dietary restrictions and allergies I make modifications to my order and they are always very accommodating. Their grilled snapper is wonderful!
