My friend and I came here for lunch to try the Miami Spice menu. We were given the regular menus, but we already knew what we wanted to order from the MS menu. The poor waiter was completely alone, seating people, taking orders, and bringing out the food! Still, he was able to take care of everyone (6 tables) and the service never suffered! For our appetizer we both ordered the ceasar salad. I loved mine! It was clearly a homemade dressing. The croutons were also homemade. One of the best ceasar salads I've ever had. My friend doesn't like anchovies so she only took a couple of bites. The only other appetizer available on the MS menu was fried mozzarella. Our waiter brought out some focaccia bread and put some olive oil and vinegar on a plate for us. For my entree I ordered the Chicken Farcito. It's a chicken breast topped with fresh spinach and mozzarella melted on top. That's set on mashed potatoes and then it's covered in a Jack Daniel's cream sauce. It was AH-MAZING! Sooooooo good!!!! But I was full about halfway through. My friend ordered the Linguine tre funghi. I tried it and it was VERY GOOD! I would have ordered that, if I didn't order the chicken. She loved it too. It was very flavorful. It looked like a small portion, but she was also full halfway through her meal. We had both ordered the ricotta and pistachio cake for our desserts. We got them and our leftovers to go. My dessert melted in the car, so I don't have a picture of it. It was delicious though! I had never heard of this restaurant before seeing it on the Miami Spice list. I'm so glad that they're participating in MS. Otherwise I would have never tried it. I love this restaurant! First time visiting this local spot right in Kendall! Make sure you go to their website and book a reservation as tables fill up quickly for this small but elegant restaurant. Overall, the service was great and attentive from start to finish. We brought our own bottle of wine ( sorry forgot what the cork fee was ) and order another for dinner Stag Leap Merlot, great wine selection. They have daily dinner specials, including appetizers and mains. We decided to go for the lobster Coqueta, which was absolutely delicious. Lots of actual lobster meat in each one. (2 total per order) For the entrées, we went with another special which was halibut served with champagne cream risotto . I also ordered Kasandra's pasta: A Four cheese and pear fiocchetti and pear in a pink sauce and fig ravioli in butter white wine sauce. Everything was very flavorful and delicious. Mistero is a beautiful Italian-Mediterranean spot, and it's in the same location where Secreto used to be, with an interior that looks almost identical, so there was a lot of excitement going in. Some of the chefs seem to have stayed, and that familiarity definitely came through in a few of the dishes. The food, overall, was great. The lobster croquetas special was very tasty, but the portion was surprisingly small at only two croquetas for $25, which felt a bit steep for what you got. the calamari appetizer came out a bit soggy and did not win the table over. Some pasta dishes were excellent like the Kassandra fig and pear ravioli , my mom really enjoyed her crab meat ravioli, and my boyfriend loved his filet mignon with risotto. My sister-in-law also loved her branzino, but my stepdad was not a fan of his black seafood pasta. My lived his pasta dog with steak as well! Service was a strong point, and with five out of seven dishes being genuinely enjoyable I'd come back. read more

Elevated dining In the heart of Kendall. This amazing spot is truly a hidden gem tucked inside a shopping center right across the street from Town & Country. It used to be Secreto (which has since relocated), but the new Mistero has taken things to an entirely new level in terms of flavor, presentation, and overall quality. From the moment you walk in, the warm hospitality and inviting ambiance immediately make you feel welcome. The space is small and cozy, yet manages to feel elegant and upscale--and, most importantly, it's spotless. It's a perfect setting for both a romantic dinner date or a small group looking to enjoy a memorable dining experience. We started with wine, but I'll admit the wine list was a bit limited, especially when it came to Spanish wines, which are my go-to. Still, we found a decent option by the glass and moved forward with the meal. One standout feature here is the daily chef's specials, which aren't listed on the menu. Your server will explain them in detail, but interestingly, they don't mention the prices upfront. We ordered an appetizer from the specials (pictured below) and--no surprise--it was absolutely delicious. For my main dish, I had the truffled risotto with filet mignon, and all I can say is wowsers--rich, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. To top it all off, I was surprised with a birthday dessert: a decadent chocolate lava cake, presented with a song from the entire staff--even the chef came out to sing! It was such a thoughtful and fun gesture. The entire experience was A++. Christian, the owner, was incredibly friendly and genuinely made us feel like valued guests. Hello everyone and hope you are all doing well! So we decided to check out Mistero this evening located in a strip mall opposite the Kendall Town and Country mall with some very good friends of ours this evening. Mistero is an Italian / Mediterranean restaurant that has a great menu and wine selection as well. The chef at this restaurant is very good and always has an interesting selection of specials off the menu that are excellent and more importantly always fresh. Upon arriving we were quickly seated and the staff really made us feel very welcome as well. After some initial conversation with our server Diego, we ordered the Burrata Cheese Appetizer, some Caesar Salads and the Tomato Bisque Soup all of which were absolutely delicious. The Burrata Cheese appetizer had a sweet type sauce that really made it very tasty and combined with the tomato and bread crisps really made for an interesting combination of flavors. For our main courses, we all ordered the Italian Sea Bass on a bed of Champagne or Mushroom Risotto. Honestly the flavor was out of this world and we all really enjoyed it. I almost ordered the Veal Osso Bucco which looked amazing but opted for the fish on this occasion. I thought it was also very cool when the owner stopped by the table to make sure everything was to our liking. We were even more surprised when he sent over some complimentary desserts that were amazing as well, which consisted of a home made rum cake with vanilla ice cream and a pistachio cream pie that was light and delicious. The atmosphere and the ambiance was inviting and relaxing and we really felt comfortable which is always good when dinner is concerned. Parking will not be a problem either as there is plenty available in the strip mall where they are located. Overall we really had a great time; also, enjoyed the food and service and will definitely be going back. Highly recommend that you check them out as I am sure you will not be disappointed. First time here but won't be the last! Service was great and food was truly even better. The filet mignon and risotto were to die for. The venue is very clean and looks modern, love the ambiance. Our son had a kid's portion pasta and they were very accommodating with adding a side of protein to it. The only suggestion we have is to chill the canned soda rather than only serving it with ice, but that's an easy fix. We plan to return soon. read more

My husband and I were frequently visited Secreto whiched moved to a new location. We drove by the old Secreto to see what was put in its place and found MISTERO. We made a reservation and was extremely happy that we did. The food and service was amazing, I had the Filet Mignon with Mushroom Risotto and my husband had the Home-made black linguine with shrimp and calamari sauteed with fabrialo pomodoro sauce which was made with perfection. The restaurant appearance is beautiful and modern. What delighted us the most was that the MISTERO chef was the old chef for SECRETO which clearly shows why the food was perfect. That's 'a win win for MISTERO and for us as the Chef is amazing. Loved the new owner Christian as he was interactive with us, our waiter Diego was attentive and efficient and the best part was seeing the chef Jairo who's a culinary genius. This was not the ambiance I was expecting. We started with drinks. My glass of wine was Very Warm so I sent it back. Gosh! We ordered a Burrata salad and lobster croquettes--both good. Two little croquettes were $25.00--Oh My Goodness! My husband ordered a Fish Special and I ordered a Shrimp dish with Risotto. The Fish Dish was better than my Risotto. Risotto didn't have a lot of flavor, in my opinion. Overall, Good--just Good AND VERY PRICEY! For a $200 Dollar Dinner, I was expecting beyond Amazing--Not Just Good! Very Disappointed! The food was great. Really delicious. I ordered a seafood risotto that was absolutely to die for. The service was kind and friendly. I did notice that it was under new management and that the staff seemed confused. I saw one waiter close the blinds and then 5 minutes later another came and opened them and then 5 minutes later a third came and closed them again. It was funny because it wasn't just the blinds. They did the same thing with the candles and other small details. Speaking of the details, the ambiance was amazing. I loved the new table cloths and the candles. The menu was very nice too. Wow, so we were looking for secreto and ran into "Mistero" and what a great surprise. Derive was top noche. We had the octopus for appetizer and main course a ribeye steak with champagne risotto. We shared it and it was delicious so juicy. The owner came by and served us a complimentary appetizer, also Rodrigo our waiter had great recommendations and was on point. A must local spot!
