Marion Jeep Chrysler experience June 12th 2023 I walked into Marion Jeep Chrysler at 1:40 after an hour drive to the location. I explained to Chris who had reached out in a text to me to come in and we can do the paperwork for the 18,840.00 He did his due diligence took about 45 minutes to an hour and then said ok my manager is out of town and I am waiting for an email from him to approve the transaction. I asked how long it would be he said he didn't know. We were approached by a couple salesman asking if we were ok because we were walking around the lot and we stated we were not trading in just waiting for Chris. We decided to go to lunch after 2 hours of being there. Chris called us about 45 minutes later and said he is ready to come back and pick up your check. We got back about 10 minutes later. He sat down and shook my hand and said glad we had a deal. He then went to explain that he would not be giving us the check today. We had a payoff amount that was confirmed earlier in the transaction as I presented him with all that paperwork when we first got there. He stated it is a North Carolina Law that they could not give us a check without physically having a title. If this law was true why was that not told to us when we got there almost three hours ago? We found out that Chris was Lying. There is no law in NC that prevents the transfer. I questioned and said so I couldn't even trade in the car today to buy another because I don't hold the title he explained unfortunately. He then said we will mail you a check in 14 business days once I sign the car over to them now and they receive the title. I said this is something I have never heard of and he then reiterated that it is the law. I said well I am not comfortable signing my car over to you with a handshake of my 12,200 balance that may come in 14 days. He said He understood. Again why waste both of our time when you knew the situation from the beginning? Where you setting me up hoping I would use the funds for a new vehicle after walking around the lot for hours because there was no place to sit inside? With exception to the service area? So I left. As frustrating as I was my wife says try CarMax. their offer was 300 lower than the two other places with KBB. So I did. CarMax explained the whole process and in 45 minutes I had a check in my hand. They were incredibly professional and did exactly what they said they were going to do. I don't know what kind of game that Marion Chrysler was playing however my only repercussion is to share my experience on social media as to hope no others are wasting 5 hours of their day to be lied to about a law that does not exist. Don't do it. If this dealership is selling a 1962 Corvette at the 1962 price, don't buy it. If they are giving away tufts of hair, cut from the original Chewbacca suit worn in The Empire Strikes Back with every car purchase, don't do it. If they are giving away an original vinyl record of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" autographed by John, Paul, Ringo, and George to the first buyer of the day, just don't. So, hey! I'm Theresa and I want tell you about my experience with this dealership. I was looking for, and found, a Chevy 2500HD at Marion CDJR. Actually my boyfriend, Stephen, found it and showed it to me. I liked it so Stephen did some leg work like the good boyfriend he is and contacted Joshua. Joshua stated it had no issues he was aware of. Thanks Joshua. So Stephen asked him to work up an out the door price Joshua explained to Stephen he could have the truck delivered, but since we were over the 300 mile free delivery radius by 57 miles we would be charged $2.00 a mile for the 357 miles coming out to $714.00. Well that stinks but I liked the truck, so ok. Joshua gave a lower price than most places I had checked for my trade in, a 2021 Tundra Nightshade Edition. Stephen asked Joshua if we could give a $5,000.00 deposit to hold the truck for a few days to sell my Tundra and we would pay cash for the truck. Well, no, they won't do that. Again, it stinks, but I do understand why they won't hold vehicles. But wait, there's more. . . The next day I talk it over with Stephen and we decide to just go ahead and put $10,000 down, finance the rest, and pay off the loan after I sell my Tundra. Good idea, right? So, I call and speak with Patrick, who was nice. I give him my information and he runs and does his loan approval and so on. Patrick then calls and states he received a fraud alert on my SS#. Interesting. Then Patrick looks at the form and it auto-populated Stephen's name with my information. Not good, but mistakes happen. Finally get that ironed out and Patrick gives me a price of (X) payment a month. Ok, sounds good. Lets' do it. The next day I get a call from the dealership stating Patrick had forgotten to add Virginia tax to my total and (Y) amount will be added to my total making my payments (Z). Of course, this was AFTER I had already signed all of the E-signature paperwork. More paperwork anyone? I had to do all that all over again. At this point I am wondering if they have ever sold a car remotely before? Ok, now they have the paperwork, everything else should be cake. Yeah, should be. So, then as I am arranging the shipping I speak with Caly who advises me I will have to pay the driver upon delivery because they use a third party. What? Why am I just learning this? Caly stated he takes cash or check. So, I tell Stephen about this and he suggests I call back and make sure he takes a personal check, which I did. Good thing! He does not take a personal check, it has to be a cashiers check or cash. So now I have to go out and get over $700.00 cash or cashier's check to pay this third-party driver upon delivery. I asked Caly who to make the check out to and she stated Marion CDJR. WHAT?!? I thought it was a third party? Now you are telling me to make the check out to the dealership? Why not just include it in the price? I asked Caly about this and she gave me an example about a restaurant buying cups and that's how third party works. Again, WHAT?!? I asked someone there, at this point I forget who, if I could have it shipped to an address within their three hundred mile limit and meet the driver there? Uh, no. Apparently, the truck has to be shipped to the address of the registered buyer. Good thing I wasn't putting out tens of thousands of dollars to buy a vehicle for my daughter at NC state University. They would not be able to ship it to her. How sad? However, on 04/15/24 at 0915 hours Stephen, My boyfriend, spoke with Savanna at Marion CDJR who he asked if he bought a vehicle titled in his name if they could ship it to his daughter at NC state University and she stated they could. So? Why couldn't they ship it to the address I requested? No reason. We were lied to. Plain and simple. Onto the next dilemma. During my conversation with Caly I asked her if this truck had two keys to which she replied it did. Ok, just send me my truck! I started this process on 04/01/24 and my truck finally arrived on 04/12/24. And on the day my truck arrived I am so happy! Until I find out there is one key! What?!? I contacted Caly and asked her about the key and she stated she must have got me confused with another customer when she told me that. So, I go and inspect my truck. Looks good. Get inside and go to open the console. Yeah, the console won't open. The flippin center console WON'T OPEN. So, 1 key and a broke console. I left a review on Facebook for this dealer and now it's deleted. Classy. read more

Purchased a new Ram 1500 three months ago. It's been in the shop for 8 weeks. It is a complete lemon but Marion refuses to take any responsibility for it. They say it's a Stelantis ( Chrysler) problem. Unfortunately Stelantis has developed a business plan that keeps them far away from their customers and you cannot communicate with them at all. At the end of the day I am just screwed. I have a brand new, undrivable, unfixable piece of driveway art and absolutely no one who can do anything gives a damn beginning with Marion Chrysler Ram Dodge. They opted out immediately and actually hung up on me when I pressed them for a solution. Stay away from this dealership. Stay away from Chrysler. read more

I can't speak for the dealership as a whole but I wasted 2 hours driving here because a young salesman was full of it and very unprofessional. He told me he could get price down day before but wasted my time. I sat there for 2 hours and drove 2 hours from home for nothing never even got a final price for my trade in or new car. Complete joke! He kept telling me a price of few thousands difference. But insisted on running my credit to and getting my info yet he didn't even know how much I needed to finance if any. Had an issue with the headlight on our used car purchase, which was told to our salesman the next day after buying it. Within 2 weeks the car was took to the manufacturer dealership to be told it would cost $300 to repair it due to rodents chewing the wire. When we contacted the General Manager at Marion to ask if they could cover some of the costs, he implied it happened after we bought it. We explained the car was kept inside our basement garage since purchasing it, he immediately said he needed to check on something and would call us back. Two weeks now, never has he called back. We feel like he knew a wire had been damaged before selling it otherwise, why would the GM be so deceitful in making an excuse to get off the call as quickly as possible? Okay how do I start set appointment for 2 to have my airbags that were on recall replaced how to do an oil change and make me a new key for my Dodge Durango the key cost over $200 highway robbery oil change cost $45 mother I will robbery they started my airbags place them for free left the Dodge service station to find out my driver side airbag was not clipped and property did they tell me know they let me leave the station when all the way back to my house to noticed it was not level with my dad so we're back to have them fix the problem could they fix the problem no they have to order a new airbag order replace the airbag they just placed they could have told me before I left the Dodge Station instead they did not mention it so now I have to go back a second time they have it done hopefully correctly this time service was unacceptable the people at the counter was very friendly ask them a question about changing a fuse for my side mirrors they gave me a schematics that you need an engineer's license to translate did they help at all no all they gave me was mechanic talk fuse 12 main box under hood which did not help because the fuses for Dodge Durangos are not label correctly the book does not tell you what fuse goes where no help at all I'll give him a second chance to fix your back but will I refer them to anybody with the service I got this time now but I'll keep you posted read more
