We traveled a far distance and looked forward to trying place based on the reviews. FAIL. The pie was WAY too sweet and way too much crust. Looks like the owner trims costs (more dough, less filling) for a less than average pie. For the website to show many options there weren't any available. The staff wasn't nice or helpful, actually pretty rude, they rushed us along and weren't courteous. Any review showing us not Bowing to her perfect pie gets rudely hammered. Sheer arrogance. Your pie is undercooked and too doughy. You can do better, but based on your bad attitude, you probably won't. Response- i got your pie, it was awful. I should have your business taken down for falsely advertising good pies and good service. Shameful. Response 2- i have the receipt to prove my presence. If you get nasty with customers it sets a precedent of who YOU are not us. Businesses owned by people like you who sit on their perch and do NOT care about customer service need to be shut down. You don't care about customers, you care about your profit. There's a reason you didn't sell the business in 2022, the new owner will have to clean up the mess you've made. Marion's Pie Shop is the best! We ordered a small eggplant Parmesan, a small clam pie, mashed potatoes, and baked beans to go. The eggplant parm was some of the best I ever ate and I'm from Philly and live in Hoboken, with an abundance of Italian delis and delicious eggplant Parmesan to be found. My favorite is my husband's which I now make, with breaded and baked eggplant with a homemade marinara sauce and preferably fresh mutz and ricotta. Marion's eggplant parm is as good as you will find anywhere. Marion's pie was to die for with a flaky and rich pie crust, possibly the best pie crust I ever ate in my life evict is to say a lot. I cannot wait to get a sweet pie next time. Their mashed potatoes were delicious, too. I only wish they had more savory vegetarian items like spinach pie or vegetarian beans. I'll certainly be back for the eggplant Parmesan, and cannot wait to try some dessert pies. They are extremely warm and hospitable. Thank you!! read more

We passed by this pie shop on our way to chatham Bars Inn- we ordered their small Dutch apple pie. The pie was delicious, the apples weren't too tart, the crumbles on top weren't too sweet, everything was just right. They also sell savory pies and pastries along with hot soups. We ended up going back the next day to bring some back home. read more

We've come a number of times hoping each time would be better. The reviews are positive for the most part. However, I think the food is awful. The cinnamon rolls are undercooked, doughy and soft. The muffins are overcooked, dry and chalky. Our most recent visit we decided to try the pies...figuring it is known for its pies...we bought three small pies...waaaaay too much crust, very little filling. The crust is undercooked, doughy, no layers or flaky crust here...just a mass of undercooked dough. The fillings were very nice....but I think their reputation has outrun their quality. Their staff is kind and courteous but it doesn't make up for the lack of attention to their recipes which seem to have gone downhill... We REALLY want to like it...but it's just pretty bad!!! read more

We had dual purpose in visiting. One was for cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Our second goal was pies for dinner dessert. They had an adequate number of cinnamon rolls. There were only 3 pies to choose from, which was a bit disappointing. We learned that most pies aren't finished until around noon. Were were there about 9:30 am. Luckily, strawberry-rhubarb pies came out of the oven as we were ordering. The cinnamon rolls were really good. They were more bread-like than we had previously had. This seemed to make the outer ring a little dry. However, the centers were oh so good. We did get cinnamon nut rolls because that is what they were selling. However, there were so few nut pieces to even see. We ended up with strawberry-rhubarb and cherry pies. Both of them were really tasty. The right amounts of tart and sweet. Even as leftovers, a night later, they were still amazing. We really want to go back and try all of the others. read more

I live in the mid cape area (Marstons Mills) so when I want a pie I go to the Centerville Pie ladies. A recent trip To Chatham and a near empty parking lot I decided to try your pies. I purchased a small peach and a cherry pie. The fruits are in season. The crust on the peach pie was gooey and absolutely undercooked. So disappointed. I will never recommend nor will I ever stop by again. read more

How can you not say yes to pies while you are on a mini vacation? That's what we thought. Well most of our snacks or pastry vase, they were all very delicious. We ended up getting a turkey pot pie I believe for dinner, which was wonderfully yummy and worth the trip. This was especially great because we had an Airbnb and could use the fridge and oven to heat this up versus trying to figure out where we might get dinner again. This was a repeat trip Before we went home, so that we could get a delicious breakfast treat for the road. I do believe they had some gluten-free muffins, but most of the variety here would be full of gluten and other yumminess. There are two things I wish, I wish that they had the selection of baked goods available online so you could place your order ahead of time to have a little baggie ready. Maybe they do and we didn't see it. But that would have helped out a lot because the store is small. The second thing, is that they had a Green Mountain Coffee Keurig for coffee. That is probably the bottom of the heap when it comes to fresh coffee. I will not even use that stuff at my house. Along with any homemade baked good, they should really upgrade to a better coffee dispensing machine, even if they don't want to make fresh coffee themselves. I would probably pay for itself in a week. Don't insult your baking with bad coffee! read more

I miss this place. Since I retired from service job, I no longer visit Chatham that much. I used to stop in weekly to buy my favorite apple turnovers and an occassion pie or two. This is by far the best bakery on Cape Cod, I've visited them all in my travels. The store is clean, the staff are hard workers, always seeing people in the kitchen cranking out those pies and other tasty items. I was the base baker for Otis ANGB, so I know quality when I see it. Gonna have to make a special trip for some of those awesome turnovers!!!!! Some of these comments are really negative, and seems that some people need to calm down and get some manners. Been coming here for 20 plus years. Had their lobster rolls for lunch today which prompted me to review after all this time. Those were great too. I have been back to this piece store many times since my initial review and it deserves 5 stars. The pies and deserts are phenomenal. The 7 layer bar is delicious and the pecan bar too. So many different kinds of pie. The selection is much better in the morning, they tend to run out in the afternoon. My favorite is the blueberry pie, delicious. They have large pies and the small ones too. I had a Parker role for 75 cents that was homemade and delicious, huge. Everything is so good there. The staff is so nice. The pie here is fine. I actually am not a huge fan of crust, but I will say everyone seems to disagree with me! That being said they make cinnamon buns in the morning (orange and walnut usually) and they are out of this world. Really delicious, giant portions, and they are just the thing for a sweet cape breakfast. Once you try them you will be hooked! read more

In Chatham for the weekend and stopped by this place for a pie. Had heard good things from locals. We purchased a chicken pie and a Bailey pie. Both were excellent. The Crust was amazing in both. The Bailey is combination of both sweet and tart berries a wonderful combination. They have 2 options for pie sizes small and large. Small pies feed one maybe 2 and large feed more. When we go back I will try the blueberry pie, which I hear is theirs specialty. read more

Marion's Pie Shop is simply the best! We searched online for the "best Boston Cream Pie" on the Cape and, based on what we read, we drove an hour and a half to Marion's. It was the holiday weekend so we found out quickly that we should have placed an order. The owner; however, took care of us and gave us the last Boston Cream Pie. The reviews were correct....it was absolutely the best that we had ever had. We will definitely return to Marion's Pie Shop the next time we are on the Cape! We came to get pies to-go on our roadtrip back to NYC They have small individual pies that are still large enough to share, but they offer large pies too ---chicken pot pie: usually sold cold from the fridge so you can heat it up at home but we were lucky to come when a batch came fresh out of the oven because we wouldn't have been able to heat a cold one on the road! I Enjoyed the crust and flavor although the chicken was a bit dry ---BLUEBERRY CRUMB: the fruit pie to get! We're not usually staying on this part of the Cape, but I'm glad we were this time because now I know about Marion's Pie Shop. I was looking for a blueberry/peach pie and thought about ordering ahead, but ended up deciding to show up and seeing what they had. Lo and behold, the blueberry/peach was one of the few pies in the case. Judging by the work going on the back, they really pump out the pies here. I took the pie, a hermit and a seven layer bar. The pie had everything I'm looking for. Homemade crust, fruit not too mushy, insides not running with juice. It wasn't as sweet as I was expecting, but that's hardly a complaint. But I will say the hermit was perfect. That's the kind of cookie I never buy, but this was amazing. I liked it waay more than I was expecting. The spice was explosive, and I didn't even mind the raisins in it. The seven layer bar was delicious, too. I'll definitely be back. read more

I would have left more stars, but what really threw me off was the customer service. The two women working behind the counter were really rude and impatient. When you walk into a pie shop and there are many options, the person wanting to purchase said pie or pies would like to take their time and see what all there is. I would have spent more money had I not been rushed. The ham and cheese stuffed croissant I had was good, but overpriced.
