Mario's replaced my whole HVAC system. Moved my air handler from the attic to the garage (my request) and replaced all the ductwork and grills. Quality and price were spot on. Our salesman Jeff explained everything to my wife and I, costs, procedures and what to expect from the installers. Which brings me to the installers. What a pleasure it was dealing with Laramie and Keith. They worked great together, they checked each other's work, answered all my questions and did an excellent job. It was a 2 day install and yet we were not left without air conditioning at night between the 2 days. We were charged $953 for a 75 minute service call on a weekday @ 3:30pm. We were charged $372 to replace the run/start air conditioning capacitor, a part that costs ~$18. We were also charged $581for a compressor saver kit (labor included), a part that can be purchased for ~$24. The job was done by one man, and once he diagnosed the problem, it took him 15 minutes to fix it. Again, a total time from diagnosis to treatment of 75 minutes by one individual during business hours of a weekday. Assuming a labor rate of $200 per hour, this is roughly a $300 job. I have tried addressing my grievance with the company and am repeatedly told someone would call me back and it never happened. We were robbed. You're better off not getting your air fixed at all. We paid thousands of dollars to have a brand new system installed a couple months ago and this is the 3rd time we have had to call them because it was not working. (It has actually stopped working at least a dozen times, causing my husband to crawl into the attic and/or go to the outside portion of the unit with a vacuum to fix it.) He works in the heat all day and this is the last thing he should have to worry about when he gets home. My son starts school tomorrow and instead of getting a good night's sleep, we all get to spend the night sweating because they refuse to even send a repair tech out tonight because "they're all booked and 3 other people are having the same problem." A manager will call me "as soon as they can", but they were unable to give any time frame. The work is terrible, the customer service is terrible. I had a great experience with this company my blower motor ended up needing repair and Mario's was able to get me a quick appointment (I spoke with Elija VERY helpful setting everything up to fit my schedule) and they took care of the problem, sort of, I noticed the new motor sounding louder than I thought it should I called them back to double check, And they responded immediately getting me someone to come back and take another look. and THE HERO OF THE DAY WAS ADRIAN he replaced it without any hassle and bc I opted for the membership and when he came he also did my biannual maintenance I was truly impressed My technician was ADRIAN. I chose Mario's Air Conditioning & heating (Hudson, FL) for a couple or reasons. 1. I went to Lowe's and they use Mario's Air Conditioning & Heating. I now have Lowe's if there is a problem to back me too. 2. Their price included more and it was the lowest price (I had 4 other estimates). I saved almost a $1,000.00 and I got an upgrade included in the price of uv lights and charcoal filtrating system. 3. I liked the person they sent to tell me about the different options, she was very personable and friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I told her what was included in the other companies price and not only did she include in the price but, like I said it was almost a $1,000.00 less. August 16, 2023 The day of the installation Juan and Michael showed up 20 minutes early they were very professional and knowledgeable. Juan and Michael were fast and efficient. They went above and beyond checking to make sure that all the duct work was in good shape and re-taping if it needed it. They are the worst, we are seniors and retired military and they over charged us for a air conditioning job. They cleaned the unit and added a UV light "1700.00 And that is with a 10% discount we had a service contract. The job took less then 45 minutes and the UV light cost approximately $200.00 the rest was labor. This company ripped us off. We have a prepaid service contract we will cancel and ask for a refund. I called Mario's Air Condition & Heating last month for seasonal maintenance. The technician tried to get me to pay $1,500 for cleaning the furnace because he said it had mold. I said no. Then he said I needed coolant in the 7 year old hvac unit. That would be $700. I asked him how long does the ac unit last and he said 10 - 15 years. The coolant should last as long as the system. I was very disappointed with my routine service this year. My AC is 10 years old but is working fine after Marios installed a new motor 10 months ago. At the time they said the unit was just fine. The tech this year was only interested in selling me a new AC even though he admitted my system was working fine. He asked to use my hose to clean the coils and left the hose in the yard instead of returning it where he found it. Left with the thermostat turned extremely low and never bothered to open the closet to check the filter. Minor things but in the aggregate I have reservations about hiring them to install a new AC when it's time. Update: I just read this news which might explain a new focus. Horrible Service. Nothing but lie after lie after lie from their home office. HUGE turnover of employees. Run Away Fast. Do NOT even consider using this company. Our referral was through Lowe's. We purchased a new a/c-Heating unit. Lennox.unit with warranty. 8 months later it died. Schedule many times for a tech to come out to repair and time and time again they are no shows. Unit and pad totally unlevel. Very bad long term for the unit. 6 weeks later they replace with a new unit. 1 week later it dies. There was a hole in the refrigeration line. It took 3 days to get a tech out to repair. So many no shows by technicians, never a call from the office. When we call them back the office at Mario's just gives us more excuses and lies as to why they were a "No Show" Today is the 3rd day in a row they are No Shows to level our unit. Wanted to update my post below. Tech showed at 11:55 but I was told I was scheduled for the first appt of the day. I paid for a tune up $79.95 which is mostly a visual inspection. They do not clean the coils as some companies do As part of the tuneup. I was told I had mold and bacteria on the coils and once I pressed him on why he thought there was mold he later back tracked and said people use the terms mold and bacteria interchangeably , which I told him was not true as they are two different things. . I asked how much to spray the bacteria and he quoted me $469 to clean and sanitize if done today or $527.00 if he came back out. I asked him to finish the tune up while I thought about it and called Caldeco which quoted me $179.95 to clean the bacteria. He then asked if I had any power outage and explained that we lost power for 6 days due to hurricane Milton. He told me that the compressor on my unit that I've owned for less than 2 years(bought a new home in 2023 and the same company Marios put the unit in) was going bad and I needed a booster. I said that the builder and Marios gave us an extended warranty and he went on to explain that the extended warranty coverage would be denied due to the power outage/hurricane. He also tried to sell me a blue light for the bacteria for $1,700. I don't remember what he wanted to quote me for the booster, but I said I would just wait for the air conditioning to die but he explained it could be 4 to 6 weeks to get a new one in... etc etc .Bottom line they don't care about your time, the warranty means nothing, they are over priced and just trying to scare you into buying parts. both my air and heat are running fine And have been prior to this call. And I had Marios out less than a year ago for another tuneup and had the blower cleaned only because I had new flooring put into the home and there was a bit of dust in the blower. The tech I was told that would be coming out today was not the tech that showed. They constantly change techs. Last year I called and asked to speak to the service manager about that issue but after calling and leaving 2 messages he never called me back. Second time using Mario's . very poor quality of work this time. the tech left screw screws out of evaporator unit locate in garage. did the same on the outside unit. he did not check the inside unit of the mini split in the sunroom. On 4 February I had a scheduled appointment with Mario's. They came and found that my condenser had a leak. My unit is only two and half yrs old. No problem, how much to fix it (thinking I had some kind of warranty), well I did but it didn't cover it...so 2200 bucks later they came and replaced it, this time I have a warranty for 10 years. I am not complaining about what was being replace, my problem is this....the maintenance guy came out, didn't introduce himself, said good morning and started to do his thing. The only questions he asked was if he could put his water in the fridge and use the garbage can. Don't maintenance clean up after themselves and take their own trash? Bought a new ac from them. It's only three years old. Have had them out here 3 times that it has broken. Now this time the coil is leaking. Yes it's under warranty but have to pay 1500$ to have it replaced. It's been over three weeks and they have not called or told me anything. Called them and they said sorry but haven't fixed my problem. I'm sorry now that I went with them to replace my old unit. Nothing I can do but bite the bullet and never recommend them to anyone. Well they finally got the part. Replace it . I had to pay half for the repair before they even had the part. Over three weeks they had my money. Well as soon as it was repaired they called me for the other half of the payment. They couldn't call me back at all the weeks I was trying to find out when it was to be repaired. They took the money out of my bank account with out my permission. I told them I would pay them the next day. Because I'm on SS and didn't get paid till next day. I got an overdraft penalty from my bank. These people are a shady outfit I would warn everyone that would use them!!! I'm going to take my business elsewhere and never use them again!! read more

This unit was installed under a year ago and is under warranty. The unit was leaking air into the garage because the seal was peeling off. We called service and they said they would be here 7/3/20 between 12-2pm but never showed. The service tech Jake was in Palm Harbor and FORGOT. Another tech assured me that Jake would be there at 5pm. That time came and left and Jake got here at 6pm. He taped over the old stuff and rushed this job because it was 4th of July weekend and the job was free because of the warranty. When they installed this unit, they said they would maintenance it yearly but Jake did not want to do it. My husband asked him why he lied and said he would. Jake walked to his Mario's van and left us standing there. I called on Tuesday to find out that a false police report was made. Jake was not threatened in any way, so basically, this company took the easy way out to get out of their warranty. Maybe they thought by lying to authorities would be ok, but it's not! The truth of the matter is, they lied. Now I have an AC that is not under warranty?! I will fight this in court like a civilized human being and make sure that a judge hears the truth. I'd like to say that they ripped me off.. the first guy did come out at 9 stayed till 1 am to fix my ac but he just cleaned the pump in my return changed me 450.00 the 2 guy came out and he cleaned my condensor outside charged me 365.00 now if the first guy had cleaned everything then ok 450 I wld be ok with but over 800 in a weeks time? Purchased a new HVAC system from them 6 years ago and had a 10 year warranty and service contract rolled into the price. The initial install was great but then took several months to get a final inspection done. In the 6 years since purchasing the system, they have come out to do the annual service each year but each time they have found something wrong with the system. The charges for repairs (which are not under the warranty or service contract) over the 6 years would come close to paying for a completely new system. Now today the service tech tells me my compressor is going out due to high amperage (which they fixed last time they were out) and informs me that my compressor needs to be replaced (parts under warranty ) but price will be high due to labor and coolant which are not covered. He then went on to suggest that I replace the entire system. This company seems to be in constant rip off mode to get additional charges added to their customers. If I end up replacing the compressor or the entire system, it will NOT be done by Marios. read more

The air handler was already removed and they quoted me $4,500.... Total fraudulent organization praying on those with zero knowledge or the elderly. Does not follow through or properly stand behind their work. Paid over $9,000 for new ducts and insulation. I have one room that is consistently warmer (during summer) or colder (during winter) by almost 10 degrees at times. They cannot seem to rectify this. Prior to this I had a 2-3 degree discrepancy, which is why I installed new duct work. Jeff assured me new duct work and insulation would correct this problem. I had this installed a year ago, I'm still very unhappy. I've called and requested to speak to Mario, the owner. I've never been able to speak to him. He once sent an email telling me it would be fixed. Never happened. They have my money and I have a huge loan. read more

We have had Mario's out to our new house a few times, but the latest visit is what I am here for. Our master bedroom does not cool down properly, so Jake came out to fix it. Ever since he came out the air has not been cooling and more areas are sitting at 80 degrees instead of the 76 degrees we have it set for. I have actual pictures of a thermometer I have been placing in different rooms(out of direct sunlight or heat). They have argued with the pictures we have taken and now want to have a meeting next week. This will be over a week of me trying to get them back out to the house to correct the cooling issues they have caused on top of the previous cooling issues. I'm not sure what is going on, but do yourself a favor and seek out another company to do your work. read more
