When I got there, the service manager German Franco said that was too late in the day (despite the appointment) and told me Volt diagnostics take hours, pulled codes, and told me to come back Monday. I drop the car off Monday 1/12 around 8:40am. I call at 12:15pm just to get a status update and they don't get back to me until about 1:20pm. Then I get the call: they say they found a coolant leak and recommend replacing a hose in the surge tank / aux battery pump area. The quote was about $966 total, and that included the $235 diagnostic (1 hour labor). What bothered me wasn't just the price. It was how everything got handled after I questioned it. When I pushed for a real breakdown (what part number, what exactly am I paying for, why is this almost $1,000 for a hose-related repair), I didn't get a straight answer or a proper written itemized estimate I could take with me. I also signed their work order but didn't get a copy of what I signed. At pickup (around 2pm Monday), I was visibly upset and the service manager offered to waive the $235 diagnostic as "customer satisfaction," and it was discussed in connection with me not leaving a negative review. I didn't take that. I actually insisted on paying the $235 because I wanted a clean paper trail and documentation for what they did. On Thursday 1/15, I called again asking for the missing info by email (copy of the signed RO/work order + itemized estimate/OEM part number). I was told they "don't do that," that I have to come in person, and the call ended with him saying he was "done talking to me." I took it to an independent mechanic and the issue was handled for about $277 total including their own diagnostic. If you're okay with "come in person" for basic paperwork and a quote you can't verify in writing, fine. If you want transparency, I'd avoid this place.

I was given a heads up the vehicle would not be done until Friday or Monday. Which I appreciated, I was ok with it. We didn't need the car those days. On Friday I was informed they found an oil leak and what caused the alternator to fail. The price was reasonable for the repairs. I know on that specific vehicle, the alternator was going to be work to get to. The vehicle has been driving great since. No issues. I get a very honest vibe every time from them. The repairs were supposed to be both body and mechanical work. Body work was fine but for mechanical I was specifically told that an OEM front headlight would be installed. As soon as I got my car back, multiple warning and light codes (about seven) immediately appeared on my dashboard, which had never happened before the accident or after the accident (before I gave it to this shop). I contacted the Lindstrom again and brought the car back in. they told me "I had my technician diagnose the headlamp issue. We're thinking it's a faulty headlamp. None of the codes indicate an issue with anything else except for the lamp. It's an aftermarket headlamp so I'm ordering a brand new lamp from Honda." They told me they had only seen this issue once before on an Acura (Honda's sister car) and said the solution was to replace the headlight with an OEM part. Which was confusing, since that is what they claimed they would install when I talked to them in person in the first place. After picking the car up again, the exact same warning lights came back on...I returned again, at that point they told me "It sounds like they recommend replacing the ABS Modulator to fix the issue." and suggested I must've braked too hard, causing the issue. This made no sense, I was driving under 20 mph in front of an elementary school when I was hit, and there was no hard braking involved. They then told me if not that it is the computer part and alone would cost over $800 and that I would need to either pay out of pocket or deal with my insurance. The insurance said I would need to pay for a diagnostic out of pocket to determine whose fault it was. A diagnostic only shows what is wrong NOT what caused the problem. I was not willing to pay out of pocket for an issue that clearly appeared after the repair work. Also looking into this part myself I tried to remove the screws but every single screw was stripped so I can't even get it off myself. To make matters worse, when I inspected the car myself, I found the front fender liner was missing entirely, something that should have put back on during the repairs. Overall, this experience was very frustrating lasting from May up to July and the problems of my car still occurring currently. The problem was never resolved, responsibility was repeatedly shifted away from the shop. The quality and completeness of the repair is questionable. I would not recommend this shop based on my experience.
