Saw the reviews and who doesn't love a great sourdough?! Location was local, staff was friendly, and place was very clean. We ordered the French dip, clam chowder, turkey pesto sandwich, and a brisket BBQ sandwich. Everything was delicious but our favorite was definitely the turkey pesto. My husband's BBQ sandwich was ordered without the coleslaw but came out regular so he was a little disappointed but was able to scrape most of it off. When he told the cashier he really didn't offer to switch it out so we just figured it out. I 100% recommend this restaurant. We will be back and we will pay more attention to when our order comes out lol. read more

I went to West Coast Sourdough and tried the pastrami sandwich, and honestly it wasn't good. It had very little flavor even with extra pickles and mustard it still tasted bland, which was disappointing. I also had the Greek salad. It was okay... I've definitely had better, but it was fresh enough. I'd probably go back for the salad and give a different sandwich another try. Oh my goodness not only did they get my order wrong but this place is disgusting. We both literally threw our sandwiches away after the first bite. We ordered pastrami sandwiches not only were they skimpy but tasted nothing like pastrami but rather some type of mystery meat. The only thing good was the bread, I suppose. Very questionable meat especially quality. We spent $42 on three sandwiches. Please don't waste your money there are so many options in that shopping center that actually taste decent. I opted to order with a fabulous personal, his thorough knowledge of the selection and suggestions helped me narrow my options. I finally pulled up to Westcoast Sourdough in Fontana after IG kept bullying me with videos like, "Diego... go here NOW." And honestly? IG was right. This place is popping for a reason. I've visited this location a few times since they've opened and have been pleasantly surprised. They have always been busy when I've gone in, so I'd recommend doing an online order. I ordered a French dip for my husband and a bbq sandwich for myself with a side of clam chowder. The bbq sauce on my sandwich overpowered everything else. I couldn't finish it. But the bread tasted fresh and soft. The clam chowder was okay. The French dip was really good, but the dip got cold easily. If you get it to go, you'll need to reheat it at home. The second time we ordered thru door dash, we never got our food. The driver had been waiting about 30 min and I ended up cancelling the order. Decided to order and try West Coast Sourdough today. I ordered a sourdough bread bowl with Mac & cheese, a bowl of clam chowder, and two BBQ Brisket Sandwiches- one with coleslaw and one without with extra meat. First off, great job from the restaurant and the driver to time everything and have the food delivered to my home still fresh and hot. That's not always easy, especially when the place is 20 plus minutes away. That's great service. Now onto the food. The clam chowder is delicious and has a clam flavor but there's hardly any clams in it. It's all potato. I don't know if that's how it's made or if it was just bowl I got. When you're paying $12.50 for a bowl that's too much if it's more like potato soup. I probably wouldn't order that again because in my opinion it's more like potato chowder. The BBQ brisket sandwich had great flavor too but because everything was wet (bbq sauce, meat had sauce, and the coleslaw was saucy) it taste a bit one noted. I thought the coleslaw would give it crunch and freshness but it was a bit soggy for my taste but still great flavor. I probably wouldn't order that again either or I'd get the coleslaw on the side and spoon it on every bite. The Mac and cheese sourdough bread bowl was not for me but I did taste it. The Mac is a creamy Mac with white cheddar. I felt like it was flavored well and I could see myself ordering that. The bread it was served in was fresh and definitely sourdough! It had a crispy exterior and a chewy soft center. Delicious! I still rated this place a 4 overall because my preference about the sandwich may just be a textural thing for me but not everyone. My rating is my like a 3.5. I didn't comment about the inside or outside of the restaurant itself because the food was delivered to me. read more

My husband had the French dip sandwich and cup of soup, and I had the bread bowl soup. I killed the bread bowl and ate every last crumb. I've been looking for a good Italian sandwich in our neighborhood so I was excited to try West Coast Sourdough. I was kind of disappointed overall. I ordered the lobster bisque and it tasted exactly like spaghetti o's. Very sweet, there was a lot of what I assume was lobster, but it looked like and had the taste and texture of chopped spaghetti o's pasta. Not good at all. The Italian. If Jenga was a sandwich. Very poor construction. At every bite, the insides fell out and I found myself just eating the bread, then rebuilding the sandwich to bite it again and still only eating the bread. I literally had to take it apart and bite each item separately. After doing that I found the meat to be too salty, but that's probably because I had the ratios off due to my own lack of sandwich building experience. Either way, I didn't and couldn't enjoy my sandwich. Maybe I'll go back and try a different sandwich, maybe the construction will be better with different ingredients.
