Do you like Pizza? If so, then you should give Mario's a try. If not, you should still give Mario's a try as they have other stuff too (and what planet are you from? Can I visit?). Mario's has been on my radar as I learned they have a pretty extensive Vegan menu. It's like a whole section on their website and a must try if you're vegan. After an invite to a huge party at a friend's house (not really, just a few people), I thought about where they lived and Mario's was on the way so I said I'm bringing pizza. They all said "noooooooo" (not really, who would do that). With options like Vegan Sausage and Vegan Pepperoni, Mario's provides a lot more choices than some other pizza places. There are still plenty of veggies for the purists, but I was in the mood for some fake meat (not really, I wanted real meat but have to settle). The pizzas was pretty good. It could have been a bit more done, and I think you can ask for it that way, but it was a bit floppy, but still edible. Everyone enjoyed the vegan and regular pizzas but just a note, 2 pizzas isn't enough to feed 200 people. That party got out of control (not really, It was like 6 people). The Vegan Pepperoni Rolls were OMFG Good! Yes! I would probably stop by if I'm in the area just to get these to go! They'd be even extra delicious with a ride in the Air Fryer. Would I go back! This pizza really reminded of the pizza at Costco. It has its time and place: soft, cheesy, greasy, salty, and affordable but not cheap. I have no idea in terms of prices (Costco vs Mario), but I am sure there is not that much of a price difference, plus the benefit that you don't need to be a club member. I also ordered a calzone, and sadly the calzone and the pizza taste the same and have the same limp consistency. After a while, a chewy piece of dough gets tiring. This place offers specials, it's open late, has subs, it is certainly a favorite among the tribes that populate the area, but it is not a nice pizza joint (just go to Costco). I try not to review places that I do not like (move on), I do not like Mario's but it is edible, and it is popular. There is no "food style" improvement for this place, it's just cheap pizza, but there are a couple of things that can improve. One is their cooking times, for example, take the garlic rolls out of the oven before they burn. The other, if you burnt the garlic rolls, throw them in the garbage, don't give them to a paying customer. I freaking love this place. I would have overlooked it if it wasn't on HappyCow. There are so many fantastic vegan options. I usually wouldn't order a white pizza, but my friend wanted it. It was freaking awesome! We got the vegan tiramisu and chocolate cheesecake - both lit! If I had to pick one, I would do the chocolate cheesecake. The owner, Jose, was so lovely and spoiled us. FoodieIQ Score = 4.3/10 (Okay!) The girlfriend pizza is basically half pizza and half garlic knots and a stromboli in one. I got a pineapple pizza and a beef Stromboli with onions and peppers . Unfortunately, this is one of those that appeared to be more hype than anything. The pizza looks great but the taste just wasn't there. There was a minimal amount of sauce and it wasn't sweet or thick just a basic pizza sauce with basic cheese. Also, the pineapples didn't taste very fresh which hurt the score. The Stromboli was the best part and did taste pretty good. I would give it a 6.2/10 and would def get a Stromboli from here but the pizza just wasn't it for me. I'm not a huge pizza person, unless I'm really in the mood for it, and this place definitely hits the spot when needed. I tried the garlic knots and they were buttery, flaky and very tasty. The size of them were perfect and give you a nice doughy/crisp ratio. I also tried these amazing buffalo rolls with a side of buffalo ranch sauce that was just a killer combo. Honestly, I would have been fine with those alone as my meal. My other Foodie friends had pizza, calzones, the Girlfriend pizza (calzone, garlic knott's and pizza all in one) and Lo Mein pizza - which is on their secret menu. I have driven by this location multiple times (especially since it's right across the street from my doctors office) and never even knew it was there. We were able to customize pizza & calzone toppings - great! The waitress was so friendly and helpful - it made for a great experience. Where do I begin?! My family and I came in for the Girlfriend Pizza. We customized it with Pineapple and Bacon pizza and Buffalo Chicken Rolls. We were advised that it would take about 15 minutes. Minutes before it was done, Carla came out to let us know it would be out soon. When it was served, Jenny, the manager, explained that it was actually the Girlfriend Pizza 2.0 aka The Beast! OMG every single bite was amazing and I'm not even a big pizza fan! It came with Marinara Sauce and a spicy, tangy, orange sauce that I couldn't quite figure what it was. When Jenny came back to check on us, I asked her what it is and she said it was their homemade Buffalo Ranch Sauce. She added that everything is made in-house. I was in awe! I remember this place when I moved to Orlando in 1989. If my memory serves me right, there were a bunch of bikers (motorcycle, not bi) hanging out. The pizza was the right amount of chewy and crunchy. I'm not normally a crust eating person but I ate all of it from beginning to end. We loved the food so much we got it again before we got on the plane. The woman at the counter was nice enough to package our food up in such a way that it made for easy airplane transport. Long time customer and am disappointed. Ordered the girlfriend pizza, so I ate the pizza yesterday, and had the calzone today. Was charged $2 more for the steak and I was eating the calzone today only to find that it's more of a stuffed crust and not a calzone with no steak. Just mushroom and onion. Called today to complain about it and the manager said I should have called yesterday and was very rude. I am updating my review because of how they are handling orders during the Covid-19 pandemic. They are doing a great job. No customers are allowed inside the restaurant. When I placed my order I had to call them when I arrived. An employee in a mask brought my good out to my car. I had ordered a soda that she had covered in a napkin so that she would not touch the can.
