Used to be a fantastic place but with all the competition I'm afraid their quality control has slipped down the ladder of Long Island pizza. Chris the owner is a good guy, but I'm not sure if he's ever there anymore to keep an eye on things because I keep trying to get my coworkers to come get lunch with me there and almost every single time we are disappointed in the pizza. Not consistent, mixed up slices Togo, and don't bother asking for extra cheese or an extra topping because it just doesn't happen. Used to love this place. Oh well. read more

I've been eating pizza from Mario's for over 10 years, back when I was a student at St. Anthony's! They're always kind, reasonable, and reliable. So, I recently dined here with fellow STEP Team coaches and some current students. We decided to order a cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, wings, garlic knots, and a chicken primavera. Was passing by and stopped in for my benchmark fare. Tale of the tape: Garlic Knots Small sized, medium chew, little to no garlic flavor. Penne alla Vodka slice A meal unto itself. Crust is light and crisp when heated up proper. Cheese is plentiful, perhaps too much so . . . There is enough vodka sauce to get the job done, but not enough to determine if the sauce is necessarily good. As it stands I would be leery about buying a penne alla vodka dinner entrée, unless it had a reduced price. read more

So my wife calls to order a Sausage and Cheese calzone. Our experience has been that they've been cutting open at the top or slicing open sideways to insert their crumbled sausage. Sorry, I don't want your old cheese calzone sliced open. So my wife asks for a calzone that has not been sliced in any way. Owner/Manager complains that he'll have to make it from scratch. No Kidding. What do we receive, a calzone that has not only been sliced the long way, but also cut in half. I'm sure they all had a good laugh. It has a pretty comfortable and spacious private room in the back that is beautiful, I will continue coming here and posting more content and another review of this place to update this one, because i believe I haven't had enough. Their penne a la vodka is phenomenal, you could taste how the vodka and possibly the pepper or condiments affected the taste of the sauce giving it its intricate and delicious taste and perfect thickness. Penne is Al dente. Just awesome! Love their salads and love their pizza. Its a must try. They are great with Cleanliness and their bathrooms are neat. People working here are pretty courteous and servicing. Prices are reasonable. And this place is close to a nice mall and other places like Michaels craft store, ulta, and much more. Unfortunately this location turned out to be very disappointing. We first found Mario's on route 106 & although we live in Huntington we occasionally would treat ourselves to their pizza. When we found one that opened much more locally on Wolf Hill Road we we excited. After numerous visits we've decided that they don't hold a candle to our first discovery. We will still treat ourselves and make the drive but we will not return to our "local" one. There are numerous great pizza locations in Huntington that we enjoy. If you're disappointed in the local Mario's I recommend any of these three in Huntington in no particular order. Johnny D's, Diraimos and Porto Fino. They are all superior to Mario's. You can't go wrong with any of these three. read more

I Was really in the mood for good pizza and I was in Melville and decided to go to Mario's. I ordered 2 grandma slices to go, as I was going to eat in my car. The slices were horrible, The sauce had virtually no flavor and the bread was just awful. The only positive thing I could say is that the service was excellent and the staff were fast and friendly. this is honestly probably one of the worst tasting pizza I have had in a long time and for the price they charge you would think it should be good. It's not. I had the Sicilian and the regular and it just tasted awful. I have had better dollar slices in Manhattan. I didn't try any of the food so I can't give a review on that but that pizza is just below average and they charge a lot for it. read more

Tonight they promptly delivered the best margarita pie in the recent history of this region of NY, giving all the local competition a run for its money!
