I want to give this restaurant 5 stars but it was my first time going. This is definitely my go to salad option when I'm on Long Island near my office. I'll be sure to update this review after I visit again. I can't see anything going different than the first time I had! I was looking for a Saladworks, but I guess they're not out here anymore! I'm glad I didn't find them because Just Salad is the right fit for me. They have a Sweetgreens and Saladworks feel with a unique Spanish-infused menu. I loved the salad I got! It was adequately filling with the right amount of dressing and I wish I had another! I'll definitely visit this place for a meal again and will look for other locations. The staff was extremely efficient and made an excellent recommendation of which I value. The service was speedy and the store was clean. What more could you ask for? Oh, the price. It was right! The last two orders I placed at Just Salad in the Huntington Station location in Melville NY, were disappointing in its size. This last order the salad was missing 3 extras that I paid for. On top of missing items, the salad was disappointingly small for the $25 price tag. I have eaten at other Just Salads and have been very happy but this is the second time I ordered from this location and both times I was extremely disappointed. I don't believe the price matches the salad and I may never order from this location again. read more

4th time eating at Just Salad so my review is long overdue. The restaurant is very clean, sparse and minimalist. It's not a very welcoming atmosphere lol but that doesn't matter, the food is fresh and delicious. I've tried a few different wraps, they were all very good, I wouldn't change a thing! EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF AND MANAGER. We asked for medium dressing on top of our bowl and once we tried it it did not taste like it was enough. They tried to make us pay for a small squeeze of dressing despite it not being enough. When we asked for the manager she was EXTREMELY rude, reluctantly gave us the dressing after trying to make us pay for "extra" when we weren't asking for extra. We asked for the manager's name and she refused to reveal herself. As we were getting the bowls the manager who was making our bowl was so rude and unpleasant. I tried just salad for the first time at a yelp event and had the opportunity to go patronize this business and try the food again. I think this is a viable option for those who are looking for something healthy, decently priced, and super tasty! I like the overall market positioning of this place and hope they open more locations. As far as food I've only tried the Peruvian chicken plate, which seems to be available for a limited time but it's sooo good. It comes with chicken, rice, lentil, sweet potatoes, elote corn, etc. It's a great balance of foods and the portions are quite filling, I've had food left over both times I've tried it. When I came in here earlier this week I ran in right before they closed and the team was accommodating: they explained they were out of a couple items and were nice enough to offer different options to modify my order which I really appreciated. I used to love this place and often ate at the Manhattan locations for lunch. I would order the Buffalo Chicken salad chopped. It's been years since I had Just Salad and was excited to see this franchise pop up across Long Island. Well that excitement was short lived especially since their menu seemed to change along with the prices. They still offer the Buffalo Chic salad but it's made differently. It used to come with Buffalo Chicken, pepper jack cheese, tortilla chips, carrots, celery (which I omitted and substituted with something else and buttermilk ranch dressing. The only thing Buffalo about the salad now is the spicy Buffalo ranch dressing. It was good, but the previous recipe has a slight edge for me. And do y'all not chop salads anymore or you have to request that? The place is modern and clean and the service was good, but $14+ for a salad now?! Ridiculous! It's just salad. Stopped into this local salad shop to try their food. The restaurant is large and spacious and clean. There is an outdoor eating area as well. The bathrooms were clean. You enter the restaurant and go to the counter to order from a decent variety of salads or create your own. The staff is friendly and efficient. We ordered a Buffalo Cauliflower Salad and a Caesar Salad with Buffalo Cauliflower. The salad is served in ice cold bowls which was very nice. The ingredients were fresh and the salads tasted good. Problem is the portions are too small. There was not enough cauliflower and the salad just seemed a bit skimpy. I left still hungry and thinking I needed another salad to fill me up. The prices were high for what I think was a too small salad. Would I come back again? Probably not. I think I can get a much better built salad at a decent price at the diner. read more

Then the worker that started to help me didn't speak much English. 1 worker took my order, delegated my salad to 1st worker who I had to tell 'chicken' multiple times. I've been a vegetarian for most of my life, and I don't like salad. I've been to other salad places like Chopt and 27 Dressings, and they're pretty good, but I didn't miss them when I was no longer in the area. I tried Just Salad on a lark, and WOW! First of all, it's a nice location. It's very conveniently located, plenty of parking, the outside of the building is very pleasant, and inside is nice too. The employees are all very pleasant. Very helpful. I've never seen that kind of enthusiasm before in similar food places. The salad itself is amazing! There are so many choices, plenty of vegan choices, and there are fresh smoothies! The ingredients are fresh and plenty of variation. After eating there, I feel quite satiated for much of the day. They also promote environmental pro activity by using minimally impactful take out containers and giving bonuses for refusing a container. That's a nice bonus for an already great place! I went there once yesterday and twice today. I feel like I'm becoming a salad addict. Maybe they could do a case study / advertisement with me eating nothing but their salads for 30 days? The salad that I ordered was probably the worst salad I have ever had. The "crisp romaine lettuce" was 80% wilted, the chicken was super get stuck in your throat dry and the sweet potatoes looked and tasted like they were sitting out all day. Honestly I tossed this salad in the trash. Very disappointing. I ordered our salads for dinner, so maybe if you go in earlier in the day the quality might be better but I probably won't bother to try. read more

Should be named "Just Terrible" Food is mediocre. Staff is terrible. For one thing, everyone on the staff mumbles and we could not hear them. My wife said she had gluten-issues and asked what they could offer. The staff behind the counter looked like they never heard of gluten before and did not offer any recommendation. She ordered the Thai chicken crunch. However, the dressing they offered had gluten in it and the salad itself had wontons. On checkout the clerk was lying down over the cash register and again mumbled something that we didn't get. I don't know if this was a communication issue or if the staff were just ignorant. Giving someone gluten who is gets sick from it is inexcusable. My buffalo chicken salad was mediocre. The bread they gave me was terrible. There is a Whole Foods with a salad bar a short distance away in the same shopping center and they have nice seating, both inside and out. Next time we will skip "Just Salad" and get something to eat at Whole Foods. read more

Just sent a very long email to corporate. The food is always fresh and great. Your employees however, they're horrible. You've got some horrible attitudes on people that work there, minus the one younger girl who is pleasant, smiles and doesn't ruin the experience. Every single week we come back and every single week we dread who we're gonna get to help us. When it's not the one girl, we almost think about leaving. Tonight , again, another miserable woman working. Id recommend training your staff or starting new. Maybe have the one girl train the rest since she clearly knows how customer service works. Feel free to reach out, I'd love to discuss further. Update- Filled out the form the owner asked me to fill out to contact me. Have yet to hear back now. Corporate gets back to me from my initial email and gives me a $30 credit and generic response. Pretty sure we'll be done with this place after the lack of concern and communication. Came in with 2 friends to get quick salad for lunch. Line was long and Karla was very overwhelmed and she got frustrated with my friend who has limited eyesight so I ordered for my friend. She was snippy until I got in the middle and started ordering. She insisted on making our 3 salad bowls at one time. That seemed to work for Karla but not for me. Salad was decent. Place was clean. Not the best, not the worst. Karla forgot to put the avacodo on my friend's salad. Then she came outside where we were sitting eating. She asked us to write a review so here it is. The only reason this review is a 2 is because there is one employee that we have had make our salads several times who is cheap with salad ingredients and the salads are only 3/4 to the top of bowl when she makes them. We really like the salads, but if she is there we go elsewhere. Cava and Wholefoods have great salads too so we have choices. It's a shame. read more
