Everything else I've tried here has been A+ 10/10. Wonderful seafood spot. Highly recommend. The only bummer is that if you sit on the patio you have to listen to the annoying music that the Walgreens across the street blasts 24/7. Last time I was there, I had to hear the same short clip of Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee" looped about fifty times. Next time I visit here I'll probably ask to sit indoors for that reason alone.

We ordered a standard fish taco, as well as octopus, marlin, and smoked tuna tacos, along with a sampler of the aguachile. We ordered the verde, mango, and tres chiles. Pros: - Friendly service; our waitress gave us some great recommendations as we were overwhelmed by the huge menu. - The tacos were fantastic. The tortillas were lightly griddled and not too thick. The octopus and fish tacos were very well-seasoned and flavorful. The marlin taco was a standout--it was lightly spicy, smoky, and well balanced with minced carrots and celery. - Decent portions, especially the aguachile. Each sampler dish had ~4-6 shrimps. My favorites were the verde (spicy salsa verde) and tres chiles (tasted like a limey, spicy chipotle salsa) Cons: - I was not a fan of the mango aguachile and would not order it again. I thought it would be a standard aguachile sauce with some fresh mango chunks, but it turned out to be shrimp marinated in this overly sweet, gloopy mango sauce that tasted like a melted mango popsicle. If you are sensitive to spice, I would make sure to check in with your waiter before ordering anything. I thought I had a medium spice tolerance but found myself huffing and puffing like a chud after eating the aguachile, lol. All in all, would visit again if I was in the neighborhood!

This place sells their "normal" lobster roll for $30 each. I know prices on everything have gone through the roof (thanks, Iran War) but that is a lot of money. I have no complaints whatsoever about the roll. For the "normal" roll (that's what they call it), there was plenty of lobster and it was great. The toasted buttered bread is especially delicious. But for the price....$30 is basically the cost of a meal at a sit-down restaurant. So you always have to balance quality, quantity, and price. Incidentally, on the menu, there is no reference to "Maine" versus "Connecticut" style rolls. (My understanding is that the lobster in a Maine roll is cold and is dressed with mayo while the Connecticut lobster is served warm and is more buttery.) The video screen above the counter to this place mentions you can order it either way. The menu should also say this but whatever, this is just an FYI. If you don't specify a style, you will get the more popular Maine roll. I saw a number of people getting lobster rolls so apparently others are willing to spring the big bucks for this dish. It is delicious but you decide if it is worth it for you.

We love the taco combo as you can try a shrimp taco and a fish taco. The meats are very tender and flavorful and filling. Ordered the Small Boston White Clam Chowder ($6.99), 3 Piece Fish & Chips with fries ($21.99), and the Sea Bass Plate ($25.99) which came with two sides - opted for Spanish rice and black beans. The clam chowder was just okay and nothing particularly special. The sea bass with garlic butter was a little bland and definitely needed some hot sauce or tartar sauce for extra flavor. The Spanish rice also tasted like it had been sitting out for a while and was a little dry. I did appreciate that the black beans came topped with some cheese and were served in a little tostada bowl - a nice touch. The fish and chips were hands down the best thing we ordered. The fish had a super crispy batter and the fries were crispy as well. Definitely the standout of the meal. Pelly's is located in a shared plaza with Ralphs, so there are plenty of parking spaces available. Both indoor and outdoor seating and it's a counter-service setup where you order at the counter and they'll bring the food out to your table.

We had a very large group of about 14-15 women, and I was so impressed with the service. The staff was attentive, organized, and genuinely friendly from start to finish. Even better, they didn't automatically add gratuity for a large party, which made us want to tip them even more because the service truly earned it. Our table ordered what felt like every appetizer on the menu, and every single one was delicious. The cocktails were just as impressive. The Midnight Margarita, topped with a beautiful orchid, was as gorgeous as it was delicious, and the Aperol Sunset Spritz was the perfect drink to enjoy while watching the sun go down over the lake. From the food and drinks to the incredible staff and breathtaking setting, everything exceeded our expectations. It was a flawless evening, and I would absolutely recommend Amalfi for a special occasion--or any excuse to enjoy an amazing meal with an unforgettable view. 10/10, we'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the lobster ravioli. It was around $50 and had almost no flavor. It did not taste like lobster at all. Honestly, it tasted like frozen ravioli. It even had that bland taste mush texture you get from frozen food. For $50, I expected much more from the dish. I can't tell if they were trying to put burrata on top of my ravioli. If it was burrata it was the worst burrata I've ever had in my life. Super hard and weird texture as if it was very old or forgotten in the fridge for too long. What made it even more disappointing was that our waiter recommended the lobster ravioli and really hyped it up. I trusted his recommendation and was expecting it to be one of the better dishes. We also ordered the salmon plate. It was fine and the price seemed reasonable for this restaurant. It was nothing special but it was cooked well and was a safe choice. It's hard to cook this dish wrong. The service was actually impeccable. Our waiter was very nice and seemed knowledgeable about the menu. He was attentive throughout the meal and made sure we had everything we needed. Since he had recommended the lobster ravioli, I didn't want to make him feel bad by telling him that I didn't enjoy it. So I didn't say anything at the time. Overall, I really wanted to like this place. The lake view is beautiful and the restaurant has a really nice atmosphere. The service was also excellent. Unfortunately, the food did not reflect the prices. The lobster ravioli was especially disappointing for $50. I just can't justify paying that much for a dish that tasted like frozen ravioli with no real flavor. As nice as the restaurant is, I don't think I would come back.
