    Campi and Shrimp culichi
    Ashley T.

Wasn't feeling like cooking tonight, so we ordered some food from this restaurant. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant. But wow... It was DE LI CIOUS! I had the shrimp culichi and my wife the campi. The shrimp culichi is shrimp smothered in an avocado and Mexican crema based sauce. The sauce was creamy and flavorful. This dish comes with a side of Mexican rice, potatoes and a side salad. The campi is shrimp wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cream cheese. A perfect and mouthwatering combination of flavors. This dish comes with the same side dishes as the previous plate. I have to mention that our order was packed and delivered with care, letting me know that this restaurant pays attention to details. I will most certainly be back.

Food was delicious and fresh. It reminded me of back home in Texas. The servers were attentive and very kind. Also the horchata is the best in town.

This place is awesome. Awesome food, staff and scenery. Our softball team came out here from Los Angeles, Ca for a tournament and we were all trying to figure out where to go to eat since the event ended early. I found this place, called at 4:50pm asked them if they could accommodate a party of 25 at 6:30pm. They had no hesitation and took my reservation. We showed up with 28 people and at 6pm and they made sure to have an area ready for us with no questions asked. The food came out hot and delicious. The waitresses (whom I know we're stressed out because as they said "we don't usually get so many people here on a Monday") still hustled and made sure everyone had what they needed. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place.

The "Seafood Tower"is exceptional, with fresh shrimp, abalone, octopus avocado and only a hint of heat. This is a perfect meal.

This gem has become our go to place. Always fresh seafood that takes us way to Cabo on the beach.

Coconut seafood. They even bring you the cognitive water from the fruit.

Rarely does a restaurant offer food that looks and tastes better than you imagine from the menu. This place doesn't have a cook, it has a 5 star chef. We've eaten here nearly a dozen times and are amazed each time. You might think you're in a little Mexican cantina, but the food will amaze you! We always start with the campines (shrimp, ham and cheese wrapped in bacon) and then try something new.

Wow our food was good. I dig this hidden gem for seafood! It's pretty inexpensive as well! She loves this place. We're already making plans to come again when we can get out of work early.

Sailor Rice. The rice is hiding a ton of seafood!

I grew up eating tamales from Grandma Carrillo. The town grandma. The food here was different than I've ever had. It was good, hot and well presented. BUT, We asked about the green chili there and got a sample to try. My brother and I know our stuff about green chili. We've never had green chili like theirs. It wasn't green chili in our sense of the word. It was more like tons of sour cream with flavorings in it. No heat and (in my opinion) kind of blah. The Chipotle sauce on the enchiladas was very different as well. Same sort cream base. When my brother and I first asked about the chili, in all honesty the waitress had no clue what we meant by green chili. I'm thinking that their versions are related to different recipes from different parts of Mexico. If that makes sense. but.. don't get me wrong, it was very good. Nice place to eat.. but give me some more common Mexican food. There was not ONE TAMALE in the menu. No sopapillas. No vermicelli. No chili con carne. Of your looking to try a different type of Mexican food, go here because it is tasty. I can NOT say I had a bad meal..... it was just something different.

Upon quick search online, this restaurant was only a stone's throw from the very food hall. And placing my order online was quite easy although since it was through a 3rd party app, for the restaurant to recognize my order took a minute (I called them after 10-15 minutes after I had placed my order and they fortunately had it in their system where they had already been working on it.) By the time I walked up to it, everything (two fish tacos, refried bean and elotes) were all nicely bagged and ready to go. Inside: Quite the ambience. What was most intriguing were the swing seats at the garage door that opens up at the street side (looking over Tejon Street. See photo I uploaded.) They are perfect place for kids to sit (although they might be (at the same time) dangerous if they are not careful as they can easily fall from them.) Spaciousness with lots of wooden feel. The lightings and tables/chairs all match to be harmonious. Employees/service: Friendlily greeted me upon approaching the kitchen entrance. One of them immediately handed me the food so there was absolutely no wait. Food: Quite good. Pescado tacos (2), refried beans (looked soupy at first and yet I realized that it was the perfect runny-ness when I took a bite and elotes with lots of flavors. All of them are good portions and the price points were at par. Whereas many will agree with me that this is not the most authentic Mexican place, decent/solid service, fun ambience and good/solid food are three main elements that make me say that I was quite happy that I got some food from Zocalo to satisfy my hangry-ness.
