**Food poisoning and zero accountability** I rarely write reviews this harsh, but after our experience here, I feel obligated to warn everyone. Do not eat here. Our party of 6 went here for lunch and 4/6 ate a dish that contained ground beef. Within hours, the 4 of us were violently ill with food poisoning. The 2 that didn't eat any ground beef did not end up getting sick. When I called the restaurant to speak to the manager to report what happened and request a refund, the person I spoke to had the audacity to ask, "how are you going to prove that?" and when I asked for his name, he hung up on me. No concern for health, no offer to investigate, no apology, just deflection and dismissal. Truly one of the most shocking displays of poor customer service I've ever encountered - especially since two of those that were affected were 3 years old and 9 months old (along with two of the adults). Don't ever eat here. Not worth the risk. If something happens, they don't care. read more

We stopped in for the first time, for lunch on Sunday because I was craving nachos and a margarita. We were sat at a fantastic booth with incredible views of the front range. Our server, Ashley showed up quickly and introduced herself. She was friendly, quite charming and prompt with her service. We ordered the Vaqueros Special off the appetizer menu. It had nachos, taquitos and quesadillas. It was a LOT of food and it was yummy. I was going to forfeit my share of the taquitos because I have honestly never enjoyed one. But when I saw them, I changed my mind. They were much bigger around than any I've seen before ... because they were stuffed full with a ton of beef. The tortillas on the taquitos had such a tremendous crunch, it was an explosion. The quesadillas were good. The nachos were delicious. If I had any negative, it would be that the nachos would have benefited with more beans. But that is obviously entirely subjective. The menu had so many margarita choices. I can't remember what mine was called but it was sort of like a skinny marg because it didn't have mixer. It was enormous and wonderful. My husband loved his giant draft beer. 3.5 stars Pros: good ambiance, great employees and service, good serving sizes, complimentary chips and red salsa. Cons: what lacked was the authentic Mexican flavor in the main dishes. The house margarita also tasted like it was all mix with barely any liquor. I finally tried Vaqueros and was impressed by this location and how courteous the workers were. The service was prompt and we were seated at a good table. Our server also worked at the bar and drinks were served super fast. For the entree, I was also glad that they were able to substitute verde sauce on the chipotle burrito. The sauce was great but the overall burrito filling was kinda bland. Same with the vaqueros sampler platter- the nachos and guacamole tasted great but the quesadillas were very bland. Overall, I was satisfied with the outing. If I return, I'll ask for more salsa and spice in my dishes. read more

We are from Tampa and fly in the Colorado Springs IFly tunnel probably every other month and this place is on our list every single time. We always get seated right away. Had a frustrating experience with a take out order today. Mistakes were made with the order, after verifying the details twice. Then, instead of preparing a new order they just took off the unwanted ingredients. I had to request that they actually remake the dish. The hostess offered to discount the order. She explained management would void the entire order tonight when a manager was on duty. In the meantime I would have to pay for the new discounted meal. Four went for dinner...seated immediately, with drinks on the table right after. Our waiter was kind, entertaining, and attentive! We are from Texas and pretty spoiled on Mexican food, especially Tex-Mex. So we have been to many Mexican restaurants in CS, and all fall well short. My wife ordered 3 enchiladas, 2 cheese, and 1 chicken. They brought 3 chicken but brought her an additional plate with 2 cheese enchiladas. I ordered 2 cheese enchiladas with 1 taco. Also, I didn't want the red enchilada sauce, rather cheese sauce. They brought me a sample of the red sauce, which has peanut butter in it. It was definitely different. I'm glad I went with the cheese sauce. They charged me $1.99 for changing the sauce. That's different. I'd be careful with nickel dime charges. You may win the battle but lose the war. The food was ok to good, but barely warm. It should come out piping hot. Love the atmosphere and location, but you've got to get the food right. read more

I had dinner in the Prominent restaurant it was delicious. I wanted my husband to try it. So we were over on the north side so we went to the Kacee location. Ordered simple I had chicken steak shrimp fajitas and husband had burrito. Within one hour I had food posioning. I only ate 2 fajitas and some salsa with chips. I was so disappointed. I'm very disappointed in this restaurant. Their food is great but their prices in the kids menu is misleading. My daughter is only 5 and the kids menu they gave her said $6.99 but when I got the check they charged me $12.00!!! Absolute garbage. They will steal your money. I had a bill of 209.15. I paid 200 in cash and put 9.15 on my card. They gave us 2 receipts and on the other receipt is the tip so I did not add it on mine. I check my account and they decided to add a tip to this check. 40 dollars! They opened another restaurant in the C.B. Potts establishment by Top Golf. I have heard mix reviews of their other restaurant off of Powers near the Super Target. I love Mexican food and I saw on the menu they served "authentic" Mexican food. They do have happy hour on margaritas and beer. I would have to say I wasn't a fan of their salsa. The other person at the table thought the same. Our orders came out wrong. One person ordered soft tacos and got hard tacos which we sent back before it hit the table. I ordered a chimi with shredded beef and I noticed as I was on the second bite it was shredded chicken. I had already took 2 large bites because I was hangry so I just kept it. The guacamole didn't taste fresh and the chimi was super dry. I would have to say my favorite part of the meal was the rice and the Cadillac Margarita. Both of us wasn't a fan of our meals and the pinto beans had no flavor. We got seated right away because the restaurant was pretty empty. Service was ok. Our server didn't know they had happy hour and didn't know what was on it. Not sure if they have military discounts. We asked but the server said they couldn't find the button on the cash register and stated to us next time we come in to ask again for it. The server was trying and was super nice just lacked the proper training which is not the server's fault. I was really hoping this place was going to be good and wanted to judge it for myself. Came here for a date night on Friday. Service was incredibly fast and attentive. Food was so fast it felt like we ordered and it appeared. Also incredible quality and flavor in every item. Pickled veg that came with the combo was to die for. Our server Everardo was the perfect balance of attentive and distant, giving us time to decide on drinks and food in an otherwise instant service atmosphere. There were several very large groups and it seemed like everyone was tended to quickly and happy. Great place for families, big groups or date nights.
