Fabulous. The best, creamiest pinada I drank anywhere in PV, and they made an absolutely scrumptious vegetarian stuffed jalapeno for me. It was like a chile relleno, only so much better, and vegetarian! My husband and teen had the traditional fish-stuffed jalapeno and both l-o-v-e-d it. For my younger child they made a fried fish taco, and it was (evidently) tender, flaky, delish. But I am still thinking about my vegetarian stuffed jalapeno .... GO! read more

12/28/16 Several decades ago two brothers opened up at this humble taco stand, and eventually success allowed them to open a restaurant right behind the stand. Today you will find one brother at the helm of the stand outside, and one leading the restaurant inside. Every single day, 7 days a week. They are now as much of a landmark of Puerto Vallarta as the large cathedral nearby. I believe there were probably only a few ingredients to their success: hard work, perseverance, and probably a bit of luck. This wasn't a startup with VC money. This wasn't a marketing blitz. No rich or famous person opened this on a whim. Just two ordinary brothers. And now these two brothers are featured in magazines and known throughout Mexico as having the best shrimp tacos there are. I was googling for a place to get some good crabs and read lots of positive reviews on their crab tacos. They were so good in some special sauce so that was something new we had never had. Seafood tostada was wonderful too. Big chunks of variety of seafood and you have it with those round shaped chips that you have ceviche in Puerto Vallarta. It's a small size just in case you are used to those big tostada they serve it in USA. Very tasty. Garlic mussels were amazing too. I think they had a little taste of soy sauce but I could be wrong. So glad we found this place and got to experience this wonderful seafood. And prices are very reasonable. read more

We ate at their street taco cart in front of the restaurant and the tacos were amazing! I had the shrimp taco, hubby had the mixed grill (shrimp and octopus) then we split a fish Machaca taco made with stingray and eggs. They were all great. Met a lady at the cart who comes back day after day, year after year. Would love to come back sometime and try out the restaurant. There are lots of really great dishes on the menu that I would like try. read more

My husband and I have been going to Mariscos Cisneros for almost 10 years during our annual trips to Vallarta. It is one of our MUSTS when we're in town. Up until a couple years ago, Mariscos Cisneros was "just" a cart on Aguacate street with bench seating and a couple of tables and chairs under a tree. A couple years ago, they expanded into a traditional restaurant right next to the cart, while keeping the outside dining still available. We've dined inside and outside. As the name implies, they focus on seafood here, and the seafood is amazing. My husband especially loves their shrimp tacos. The shrimp are lightly breaded, and the tacos come with a great seafood sauce. I also especially like their crab tacos - a plate of three with a killer sauce (check out my photo). But check out their entire menu - delicious and authentic! Beyond the great food, the Cisneros brothers are really nice and friendly people, who recognize us when we come back every year. We will continue to support them and their business each time we're in town, and you should too! read more

Maybe i went 1 hour before closing and that was the mistake. Service was mediocre, they seemed off. We decided on two tacos(fish and shrimp) and a burra with marlin and shrimp. The tacos were good but I expected more out of this place based on reviews. The habanero sauce tasted like they add bottle hot sauce, not very homey tasting. The lesser black color salsa called mulata was tasty but lacked spice. The burra was actually very good and thats why rating is at 3 stars and not below. I was disappointed with the tacos I went across the street to some cabeza street tacos and were super delicious which saved my night.... I went back a few days later and tried the food in the outside part of the restaurant. No difference is still same food quality and taste: it lacks. Go down to the beach and try La Shula. read more

This restaurant is amazing! The crab tacos are delicious as well as the seafood pineapple. The coconut shrimp was also awesome! My brother had some shrimp wrapped in bacon with a mushroom sauce that was amazing! My boyfriend had cheese stuffed bacon wrapped shrimp that he had to get up and take a walk after because he was so full!! I will be back to this place every time I come to PVR! Absolutely love this place, always my first stop in Puerto Vallarta. The cart on the street is open all day if you're looking for a quick and delicious taco, the restaurant behind is open all day and into the evening if you have more time. Cisneros is a local family business, the owners are working the grills at both the cart and the restaurant. The jalapeño relleno tacos are out of sight, and the octopus...! Goodie goodie goodness. The octopus is tender and so flavorful. All the seafood is fresh and local, the preparations are simple, and the house made salsas alone are worth a visit. I knew I had to try some seafood since I'm in a seaside town, but I really wanted tacos! Mariscos Cisneros was the perfect answer. They have an extensive menu of seafood items at amazing prices. I had a marlin taco, a fish taco and a shrimp taco. They were all good, but the marlin taco was so good I can't recommend it enough. What a wonderful find! My husband and I have been vacationing in PV every February for the last six years. We love to find authentic, non-touristy places for lunch. Today I was searching for a place for lunch that serves seafood, as it is Ash Wednesday. Loved the story about how the restaurant started, so we decided to check it out. The menus are in English, but don't let that fact throw you off. The weathered fish is really battered white fish...slightly battered; think dredged in flour and lightly fried. Delicious in tacos. This was our first stop on a PV food tour. It was a great start to a flavored fiiled tour We were served a poblano pepper stuffed with crab, shrimp & octopus. The stuffed pepper was beer battered and grilled. The pepper was cut up and served in a taco shell with onions and shredded cabbage. There was various sauces you could add as desired. We were first introduced to this family owned business on our taco Tour and we ate a lot of different type of tacos. My favorite was the jalapeño stuffed shrimp,fish and octopus taco. The jalapeño is deep fried (like tempura) and the seafood is delicately stuffed inside of it, then wrapped in a fresh tortilla. Talk about amazing!!!! read more
