Came here on a Sunday evening, BUSY and they had their music LOUD, waiter took our drinks fairly quickly, then she took our food order the wait for the food to come out took a bit which was ok BUT my mother in laws (which was her Bday) shrimp/rice plate TOOK OVER 30 MINS TO COME OUT, by that time EVERYONE had finished their meals. My fajitas plate was good. rice/beans on the other hand HAD NO FLAVOR and the Michelada WAS TERRIBLE didn't taste like anything I took a couple drinks and left it. They have a bunch on influencers on their TV's rating their food "THE BEST IN TOWN" well I missed that part. I think you come here for the presentation of the food over the flavor of the food. Wife had a shrimp cocktail and she said it lacked flavor. NEVER AGAIN TERRIBLE PLACE/EXPERIENCE & OVERPRICED !!!!

    Ceviche De Pescado

I came here on a Sunday morning. It was super packed, and there was a lot of people celebrating their birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions. However, we quickly did get seated down and it did however, take a very long time for us to get our drinks and our food mind you I only ordered a glass of water and one taco. The tables were dirty and we did have to wipe them down ourselves. The food was ok. A lot of hype for the location. Maybe I'll try it another time it's not so busy. However regardless they would be a bit better with the service.

    Tacos gobernador excellent decision.

"The food is good; the tacos are actually quite tasty. The menu is innovative, and the service itself is professional and attentive. The downside is the cleanliness of the place; while waiting for our food, a small cockroach fell from the ceiling onto our table. I mentioned it to the first waitress and her reaction was to grab it off the table and apologize, but she didn't clean the surface or offer us a different table. When I mentioned it to a second waitress, she did relocate us. The food took approximately 45 minutes to arrive. During that time, we saw people at two other tables leave without ever receiving their food."

Rib Ribeye & Eggs over chilaquiles

To start the salsa I got with the chips, it's from a can; rib eye and Chilaquiles are pretty good and the only issue is the lack of flavor refried beans that come with it and the Octopus taco I got, was flavorless and overpriced. I don't care if Mario Lopez came over and got food from this place, the guy can't distinguish between real Mexican Seafood and Seafood made in California. Service was like 7 out of 10, cause I didn't get my food all together at once and I had to walk to the cash register to ask for my receipt and pay at the spot, waitress was not seen at my table only once when she took my order.

Where do i start? this place was amazing from the staff to the food! The staff was incredible, the food was delicious, and the overall restaurant was lively. It wasn't packed so our server Carla was very attentive & friendly! I went with my family so we got a little bit of everything and we could try it all. Carne Asada Fries- It was the kids menu but overall i thoroughly enjoyed them. Camarónes Encabronados- the sauce was spicy but soooo good! definitely recommend as an appetizer! Ceviche Toxico Premium- It contained fish, shrimp, cooked shrimp, scallops, and octopus with tomato, cucumber, onion, and cilantro. it was great as an appetizer and definitely had tons of flavor. Burrito Toxico- It contained octopus, shrimp, and fish along with cabbage white cream sauce, tomato, onion, & cilantro. Which was incredible, it quite literally melted in my mouth. The BEST burrito i've ever had hands down! Molcajete Cráter Mar Y Tierra- It contained marinated meat, shrimp, cactus cheese, green onion, and jalapeño. this is the smaller one but definitely did not disappoint, this is the perfect size for 2 people. and now for the show stopper, Molcajete Patron - Which was the biggest one contained cheese, carne asada, chicken, octopus, shrimp, scallops, sausages, jalapeños, bacon wrapped shrimp, & mussels. This was super delicious and had a bunch of variety to it! if you aren't sure what to try i would definitely recommend this as you get to try a bunch of stuff! Overall i was very satisfied with the food, the staff, and the restaurant itself. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good time eating. We will be coming again and thank you once again to our waitress Carla!

So my review is solely based on the food. I have ordered twice and both times the food was excellent. I think it would be even better in house as it appears from the pictures many of the dishes are served on traditional sizzling Mexican serving dishes. They have a really large menu and lots of different flavorful sauces, from buttery to spicy. I wanted to try the octopus, I ordered the diablo style. It was super spicy and flavorful. If octopus and spicy is your thing then this dish is for you. The fried fish is good. Today I had the fish and chips and will order again. Both times I ordered the seafood soup. It is my favorite and I will order this again and again. I look forward to visiting this establishment.

We freakin love the food here! Perfect for a summer meal to pair with your favorite cold cerveza!! We have never eaten at the actual restaurant but we have ordered delivery and also pick-up. Our orders are ready pretty quickly and are always accurate. Flavors and quality of food never disappoints!! When the season gets cold or you have a hangover, you can always rely on a hot caldo tóxico supreme or if just under the weather try a consomé bichi.... They will definitely hit the spot. We love to order delivery when we're hanging out in our pool, awesome spot to try fellow yelpers!!

You're drawn in by the familiar, comfortable design featuring mirrored signs with writing in Victorian style fonts that continue onto the menus. They have marble tables and counters, with comfortable chairs, and lots of light coming in through the windows. The staff is all smiles and very welcoming, happy to help you navigate the very interesting bill of fare, and making sure your cocktail is made exactly as you like. I was dining solo, so I sat at the bar, and James took excellent care of me from start to finish. I asked for a Bombay Sapphire Martini with Olives; James immediately offered regular or blue cheese-stuffed olives, and asked if I preferred the martini shaken or stirred. The drink that emerged was well-balanced, cold and very tasty. The menu is filled with all sorts of interesting choices. Some are familiar items like salads and fishes and hamburgers or cheesesteak sandwiches done in their way -- but my eye immediately went to a very unique starter: Duck Fat Potato Confit. Say what? As James explained, it is a whole potato that has been slow cooked in duck fat (confit, as we know) and served as the main attraction in the dish as one might similarly feature a duck leg or short rib. I had to order this, and it turned out to be one of the most rewarding dishes I've eaten in a long time. The aforementioned, slow-cooked potato initially appears a bit like a whole boiled potato, but looks are deceiving. Because of the cooking method, the potato holds it's consistency and shape much more than a boiled or baked potato, cutting almost like a protein. It's solid but tender, and as it has absorbed quite a bit of flavor during the cooking, this potato is far tastier on its own than those other iterations. But you are NOT eating this potato unadorned. Oh no, this potato is dressed with caramelized onions, smoky bacon lardons, wild mushrooms and a rich, very flavorful demi-glace. All together, you've layers upon layers of flavor that make you ignore all distractions and really concentrate on the pleasure you're getting from your food. But that's not all... Perhaps the cleverest element of a dish composed entirely of clever elements is the Mornay Sauce. Snow white, and with enough of just the right cheese to add texture to the Bechemel without becoming too powerful, the sauce is plated on the bottom, with the potato resting atop it. Visually, this looks like mashed potatoes served underneath a protein, and it plays the same role texturally -- but because you wouldn't serve potatoes with a potato, the sauce is a lighter accompaniment, whose flavor marries perfectly with the more complex sauce coming from above, and you cannot help but marvel at this stroke of culinary magic. Just wow. I finished with a dessert of Key Lime Budino, which was rich and creamy with a serious hit of sour from the Key Lime. A nice and refreshing shift after the savory richness of my entree. How lucky are the people of Newhall and Santa Clarita that they have a restaurant making such interesting and excellent food? I come up at least once a month for a music event, and how lucky am I to have discovered this place to eat beforehand? And by the way: if you live in the San Fernando Valley, this place is really less than 30 minutes away (without traffic), so the next time you're thinking of going over the hill to a place in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, you may want to head North instead. I promise you, The Old Town Junction will become your new favorite.
