Ricos mariscos, me encantaron los tacos de pescado y el plato de aguachile. Definitivamente voy a regresar a este lugar.

Made a reservation for a Saturday and was able to grab a seat at the bar. This was definitely a necessity. I'll always keep this in mind when planning a visit here. Upon arrival, we were met to cute tiki interior, dollars overhead (my version of heaven), and an incredible staff! It was such a warm and welcoming environment. The staff was mega nice and helped us answer all of our burning questions. The drinks were perfect! I honestly can't remember everything I had, but the menu was expansive and all the drinks were tasty. We got a bit hungry and ordered some empanadas. I loved these! A nice change from other food at tiki bars ive experienced. Awesome visit to Forbidden Island! Im looking forward to visiting again!

Cool place, feels like you're hidden in. Fun and dark inside! Very chill vibe here…read more We had reserved a table and its timed which wasn't bad, they even let us extend our time since the next group reserved time was not there yet. Lots of cool rum drinks, and even tells you what level of alcohol it is. Few food items, very small portions. I really liked their empanadas. Good service and nice staff

Today, we were able to book a 10:30AM reservation spur of the moment and Almond & Oak once again did not disappoint. My friend and I ordered two drinks: the Aviator and a Bloody Mary which were both cheers worthy. For our meals my friend had the soft scramble eggs with roasted potatoes and avocado and I ordered the NY steak sandwich. We shared the baked French toast with macerated strawberries. All our brunch items were incredibly yummy. My steak was cooked mid-rear tender and seasoned perfectly. The soft scramble was more on the medium side and would've been perfect if it was "glistening" more. Our server was efficient and checked on us once. I would definitely come back for brunch again!

We first chose to come here because they had Bloody Marys on the menu and we were craving them! The service was friendly all throughout. My friend ordered the eggs benedict and I got the hot honey fried chicken sandwich. I think hot honey is having quite the moment lol but I think I would have preferred the sandwich without it! It was really drippy and sticky with a lot of honey oozing on the plate - I would be much happier to order it crispy and dry without honey if that's an option. My friend enjoyed her eggs benedict. They also had a good beer and wine menu and my friend ordered a sour beer. Overall I had a really nice time here, it's a good vibe, friendly service, good Bloody Mary and good food! Excited to come back and try more dishes and maybe sit on the inside to scope out the indoor vibe lol. Oh patio had some sun creeping in so that was a bit not ideal but overall was totally fine.

Our go-to cocktail spot in Alameda. We've been here many times now, and it never disappoints. Great…read moredrinks, good service, and a chill, comfortable atmosphere. My favorite part is their collection thoughtful, balanced, complex drinks. If you want a variety of delectable old fashioneds with different spirits -- you're in luck! ---- Drinks ---- The cocktails are the main reason we keep coming back! Old Fashioned menu. They actually have several varieties and I've really appreciated how they use a different spirit for each! I won't review every single one, but you can't go wrong based on what flavor profile you want. They're all relatively sophisticated, balanced, spirit-forward, and consistently well made. The rest of the cocktail menu is equally thoughtful. Complex, creative, and well executed without trying too hard or going over the top with flavors or presentation. The food is delicious as well although we're usually just here for drinks before/after a meal. More small bites than full meals, but everything we've had has been tasty and pairs well with the drinks. We really enjoyed the empanadas; great flavor and execution. ---- Environment ---- Warm, cozy, and stylish -- but not pretentious or obnoxious. Music volume is always at a level where you can actually have a conversation, which I really appreciate! It does get busy, especially on weekends, but it's never been extreme. We've been seated immediately or only with a short wait most times. ---- Service ---- Friendly, welcoming, and attentive! Always had good experiences with the staff even when busy. Most of them have good recommendations. ---- Tips ---- Make a reservation if you can! Walk-ins are definitely possible, though you may end up sharing a larger communal table. We've done it before and honestly didn't mind. The bathroom can occasionally have a bit of a wait. ---- Overall ---- Love this place. It's become our go-to spot whenever we're in the mood for great cocktails and a relaxed evening and want a reliable experience. One of my favorite cocktail bars in Alameda.

I came here on 2 different occasions the first time Jeff was the bartender he was pretty chill at first. our group ordered a couple rounds and probably already there for at least 2 hr. Jeff repeatedly was taking shots and going outside smoking not washing his hands, and using the bathroom a lot and who knows if he was washing his hands. He was barely paying attention to the customers and was pretty drunk. I'm all for the fun but you're working dude serving customers and you're drunk behind the bar NOT a good look. Our group was completely turned off by that and the not washing his hands is gross. The second occasion was Bridgett she was very welcoming and really nice at first but after an hour of being there she was in and out the bathroom like 4 times. She looked high and another bartender that cares more about drinking than serving customers. But here's the kicker I went with a few friends it was a total of 4 of us. The prices and menu is written down on the walls. We asked for 4 coronas and ask me if I wanted to pay now or keep my tab open which we did leave open because we didn't know if we where having more then one drink ea. After having our first round we decided to pay our tab because she was being sloppy behind the bar. I told her I want to close my tab and handed her a $50 bill, when she gave me change it was only $10 back. I told her hey you gave the incorrect change back we only had 4 coronas. she said no it's right. I told coronas are not $10ea it's written on the wall $6 imported bottle beers. I can tell she was drunk and probably on drugs. she kept trying to argue with me over my money. over charging customers is wild. Will never come to this place again. Bartenders are drunk an doing drugs and stealing from there customers. Whoever hired these two should fire them they suck.
