Do not eat here. They have a lovely little note on all the tables that say prices subject to change. Whatever the menu price is add 6-8 dollars. Kids meal quesadilla two - two inch strips is not 4 dollars. It's freaking 8 bucks. They charged for chips and salsa. I get like a dollar fine. Nope 4 bucks. They drop it to the table. I didn't even ask for it. Ordered a mango margarita. $8, not to bad. Very small. But not a big deal. However, I have had crappy tequila (I think everyone has) but all my years of drinking tequila, this just might be number two on my nastiest tequila. It darn close to number 1. If you order a margarita make sure you tell them u want anything but whatever there house tequila is. So all in all. 2 adults and 1 kid. One chili verde burrito. One fajita. One kids quesadilla. One crappy margarita. Three ice teas. 2 chip baskets. 10% tip for mediocre service at best. $90. What an absolute rip off. I understand why there was no one in the restaurant. Update. Wow seriously the best Mexican food we have ever eaten. We got the mixed seafood crevice tostada, combo plate of shrimp enchilada and carnitas taco and the al pastor plate. I tried this place last Tuesday. I was in town for work and was looking to try a new spot in Winnemucca I hadn't been to yet. We popped in here and much to our surprise it was taco Tuesday and tacos were $1 each (normally $1.25). I ordered one of each kind and they were all good. They have classics and some fun exotics! Pollo, Barbacoa, pastor, carnitas, langua (beef tongue), & cabeza (beef head)! You didn't expect all that fun, did you? They have a house-made hot sauce that comes out with the food that is super spicy and delicious, definitely try that. Our service was super fast- from order to table in under 10 minutes. Our server was a young man, sweet & friendly- we definitely appreciated him and he made sure we enjoyed our food. Chips and salsa came out as soon as we sat down and the chips had a yummy lime flavor. Super cheap prices, all over great experience. It's low-key taco-shop ambiance, so expect a very casual experience. Next time I'm in town I'm going back to try more of the menu. read more

The last time, they asked if I wanted a Togo box...I was still eating, made us feel like they were rushing us out. Beware Beware! Notice the chips served and sauces are very small containers. There is a reason we found out later when paying the bill. This restaurant charges for chips/sauces after the first one is gone, which happens very quickly since they use small containers and put very little product in them. So, yes we asked for more chips and sauce. Again served very small portions. Never charged for chips and sauce anywhere in our lives at Mexican restaurants. The staff never told us they charge $2.00 for each chip serving, again very small amounts forcing you to ask for more. WHAT A SCAM! Our group paid our own bills. That evening for 5 people our chip and sauce bills totaled over $50, Again just for chips and sauces. AGAIN SMALL AMOUNTS FORCING US TO ASK FOR MORE. Ripped off out of towners we are. No signage or mention of this while ordering. Staff pointed out a very small sign at check out. I had noticed they had very little business. The locals know not to go there obviously. Very friendly staff & it was obvious that all the locals loved this place too so you know its great. Following the Yelp! trail in search of lunch on the way home from Idaho, we found this place. It's unassuming from the outside and pretty basic inside, but who cares - it's all about the food, right? You'd think seafood in Winnemucca would be a weird choice, but the best Mexican seafood I have ever eaten was in Lamont, CA. Not exactly on the coast. Thus,I ordered a shrimp burrito (because Mariscos) and my wife got a combination with a pastor taco and chile relleno. While waiting for the food, we had some chips (good) and salsa (outstanding). We waited rather longer than I would have anticipated, so bear this in mind if you're in a hurry. The food arrives, and my burrito was delicious. One of the better versions I've tasted. They provided a green salsa with it that was also excellent. My wife's lunch was less good. The meat in the taco was not very flavorful, and the same could be said of the chile relleno. Just not that great. The rice was good, the beans just OK. Frankly, sticking to the seafood side of the menu is probably your best bet. read more

Very well groomed server, very fast service, very patient when explaining the menu, very attentive to customer opinion on food. The breaded fried food may feel a bit soggy in oil. The milanesa was nice and crispy. The ceviche was flavorful and refreshing. Horchata is like sweetened rice milk with more coconut milk to boost the sweet flavor even more. Mandarin Jarrito is like orange flavored Fanta. I wish I can try more items on the menu. South American restaurants in my home town dont have a lot of the dishes featured here.
