I had a couple of grilled fish tacos from this food truck for dinner or as they put it on the menu, "a la plancha" with means cooked on a hot griddle. Anyways, the tacos were, if I remember correctly $2.25 each. I thought they were okay overall and that they definitely need more fish inside them. The fish's flavor was very mild and could of benefited from more seasoning. Serving the fish a portion sizes would better than a number of smaller pieces. The shredded cabbage and diced tomatoes were good. They put a creamy chipotle sauce on top which was tasty. The corn tortillas were of good quality and came warm and moist. Service was friendly and I appreciated the couple of lime wedges that came along with the tacos. They also make ceviche, burrito, and tostadas, and to my surprise, beef birria tacos. read more

This truck blows the foot long. I've tried it 3 times now to make sure it wasn't just an anomaly in the Matrix, and the evidence is now built up well enough for me to decimate the defense. The last time I went will unfortunately literally be the last time I went. I tried the large campachena (mixed seafood) cocktail. But let's back it up a bit. There were several people ahead of me in line, which is all good. But whoever was doing the prep was lagging like crazy, so I must have spent at least 30 minutes with 3 people in front of me. Thank goodness that the person behind me was a smoking hot Latina wearing daisy dukes. Seeing that perfection was worth at least 20 minutes by itself. The hot Latina asked the guy in the truck if they had consomme (soup which almost all other trucks/Mexican seafood places give out for free.) Of course he said no. Someone asked for more spicy onions, woman said they ran out. At 2 PM? One other thing that irked me was that the person who was taking the orders was a straight up Gringo. I could almost bet she couldn't speak Spanish. Call it reverse discrimination, racism, or whatever PC nonsense term you can think of, but it was just weird. I finally get my food and burn out of the parking lot in my Hybrid and head back home (1 mile away). Seafood cocktail- The juice was decent (Clamato and lime, you can't really screw that up) but the seafood was practically minced, I didn't see any whole pieces of seafood in the entire thing. And there was not a lot of the minced stuff at that. These people should be ashamed of themselves, charging 15 dollars for minced canned seafood in Clamato. Tortillas-Hard enough to chip a tooth on. Would it hurt to get new ones every week or so?!??! Habanero hot sauce- Pink in color and the taste was excellent. So if you are thinking of coming here, ask them for the habanero hot sauce to go. So my first time trying this truck. What I should have done is go to my usual place to eat Mariscos. Not only did they take a long time 29 minutes they charged me $17.00 for a small shrimp cocktail that they called the large. It was a 24oz cup of vegetables with some shrimp in it. For the amount of money they charged me Karinas seafood would have been not only a better meal, but would have been much better service. They took so long that while I was there, a man wanted his money back for waiting 30 minutes for some fish tacos. The lady told him to wait until they were done and she told him she would not give him a refund, he ended up taking off with out his money and his lunch. She shrugged her shoulders and said we don't need him in front of everyone. Up to you guys to go there but if you are hungry want good service and want to eat quickly I would highly recommend going elsewhere. I had the fish tacos and they were delicious! lightly battered basa fish with cabbage, pico de gallo and thier spicy crema. I added the habanero onions to make it the perfect taco. The tortillas tasted fresh and didnt fall apart. I also had a medium campechana that was very flavorful. Unfortunately there wasn't enough seafood in it for what i paid. It was mostly vegetables and the juice. The staff was very friendly and they made sure we had what we needed. we will return for more fish tacos in the future. read more

I live near this food truck and have tried it a couple times. I guess it's not bad, the prices for anything other than the 99 cent fish tacos runs real high. The burritos are not worth almost 9 bucks, they're small and nothing special. The lady taking the orders acts like she is annoyed with everything. They also dont take car and there is not ATM near the place. I am honestly not the one to yelp but I just had to On this one. The lady taking the orders I think has never heard of what customer service should be like. Secondly the food is overpriced for what you get. I ordered a couple shrimp tostadas and 3 shrimp tacos for the fam. Both items were very heavy on onion and very light on the shrimp. I understand that shrimp portions aren't meant to be huge but the balance on both plates was just ridiculous. As soon as they gave us our order they shut the doors of the food truck without asking wether we wanted any sauces or condiments with our order... Again i don't consider myself to be a needy customer but who doesn't want extra chipotle on their shrimp tacos. I have gone to plenty of different seafood food trucks and restaurants and never have they just gave me four small tostadas to finish two orders of ceviche.... I went to Knock on the door because they were closed already and asked them for more tostadas to finish our food. The lady comes back with five small tostadas trying to charge me a dollar !!! And as I thought this Couldn't get any worse 10/15 minutes into eating, the cook comes out And tells us He has to pick up the tables we were eating on because they were done for the day. I absolutely love the marsicos german truck over on universtity & 35th as well as the one over in Logan so I thought I would try this one since I was starving and driving past it. I ordered 2 fish tacos and the shrimp ceviche. The tacos' were super narbo and the sauce had a bacon-like flavor (gag) and then the ceviche was the absolute worst crap I've ever put into my mouth. It was fairly dark when I started eating the ceviche and it just didn't taste right. I went into the light and found that the ceviche was completely raw. It is supposed to be cooked with the acid of the lemon juice. I'm pretty sure they had just thrown some raw fish into what tasted like lemon concentrate. the shrimp was transparent and grey and I believe it gave me a mild case of food posioning. I had only eaten about 3 bites, then threw it away. Nevertheless; I was up all last night vomiting. In fact, it is almost 1pm and I am still nauseous. I will never return here and I recommend to STAY FAR AWAY!!! read more
