[[HIGHLIGHT]]Looks like a place many workers near by come for lunch. I went during lunch hours and people poured in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a decent space for groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The young lady was very nice and was able to answer any questions. Instead of salsa and chips they serve ceviche. The ceviche just neededa bit of salt but it was good. We also ordered guacamole, but it didn't taste fresh to us. We asked for jalapeños to be added they weren't. My friend had the shrimp fajitas. She said they were good. I didn't taste them. I had the fried red snapper with spicy garlic sauce on the side. The red snapper was fresh but by itself needed seasoning with the spicy garlic sauce it was perfect. My friend went back the next day and got the red snapper.

Mariscos La Costa - Chicago Shrimp empanadas (still dreaming about them) + a whole fried fish with shrimp, rice & fries = absolute seafood heaven. Empanadas were crispy and packed with flavor, and that fish was huge, juicy, and seasoned perfectly with the sauce 5/5 [[HIGHLIGHT]]Between the food, micheladas, pina coladas, and vibes, this spot is always unforgettable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A go-to for authentic mariscos & a fun night out! We came here at 7:30 without a reservation on a Saturday night. It was crowded, and it only took 5 minutes to get sat but after us it took more than 20. This place is fish forward, and it was pretty good. We started with Guac, and shrimp empanadas. They give you free tostada, chips, and salsa (very spicy and good). We then got oysters, they had a lot of shells in them, shucked that way it appears. They were also smaller more round oysters than long. I got the fish fillet with ranchero, they earned me that it was spicy but it was not spicy. It comes with fries and rice. My partner got a platter with shrimp, octopus, squid inside a filet. With fries, and rice. I also got a frozen margarita, and my partner an iced one. They were strong. Because it was so busy the service was slow, but the staff were super nice. The platters are HUGE. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall this place is huge.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Oh my god hands down the best empanada and ceviche I've had in the city so far. The portions are sooo generous, definitely a feast. The only downside is that it does quite busy and service can be slow, but the quality of the seafood is worth waiting for.

Complete and utter disappointment and a waste of money $60 for burnt shrimp? absolutely disgusting

This is my second time coming here, the first time was 5 years ago. The food is phenomenal. The portion was so big where I couldn't finish. The presentation of the plate and the flavor of the food is 10/10 I would highly recommend. The food comes out pretty quick. Streets parking.

Came on Father's Day so it was pretty busy - there was a 30 minute wait, but I got a text that my table was ready in about 15 min! When you sit they bring you a small cup of complimentary fish ceviche with crackers. It was actually a lot in that cup and very tasty. We ordered margaritas which were huge for the price. We started off with shrimp ceviche and the portion was crazy big. It was very flavorful. My friend ordered a main dish and that was also a crazy huge portion. This is a great place to grab drinks and dinner. There's no frills but you will get great food for your buck.

If you love seafood and want it served in the best way possible (flavor-wise), this is the place to go for that experience! The staff is quite nice and accommodating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is awesome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All in all a 10/10. I've got twice since I first discovered this a week ago and each time I have left amazed and quite happy (as has been my friends).

Been to this restaurant a few times but first time leaving a review. So many fun and tasty items on the menu you'll want to come back for more. Not to mention well sized portions. This time I tried a tampiqueno and a modelo. Always a great time and definitely will be back.

Genuinely, f me up this was so good!!!! The plate of crab will easily feed 2-3! Great quality on the skirt steak and crab legs! Service was awesome, vibes are fun, and James was by far the star of the show! Already planning my next visit!

This food is spectacular!!! We will be coming back asap. The sauces were delectable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was so fun too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Grace H.

What a great spot! The place is clean, comfortable, and casual and the service is fast. We got the shrimp empanadas which were delicious, and then we shared a Molcajete. Granted this is only the third Molcajete I've ever had, but I think it was the best. Everything in the pot was a winner. Their house margarita is good, not too sweet and does not taste like it's from a mix. No complaints at all, we'll definitely be coming back!

Food and services is great. I would recommend it. Also be aware of their salsa is very spicy. But then again you got to have spicy salsa.

Starting with margaritas (because obviously ‍), queso and chips that were dangerously good, and the chicken empanadas that came out perfectly crispy with so much flavor. We kept looking at each other after every bite like "okay wait... THIS is the best thing here" and then another plate would arrive and prove us wrong again The carnitas fried rice??? I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it. So savory, flavorful, comforting, and packed with crispy carnitas on top with the eggs and pickled onions... literally unreal. And then the skirt steak tacos absolutely stole the show. The steak was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired so perfectly with all the toppings and sauces. Every single bite tasted fresh and homemade in the best way possible. And can we talk about the ambience for a second because WOW. The music, the energy, the vibe inside, everyone celebrating, the drinks flowing -- it felt like the perfect Cinco de Mayo dinner spot. The service was also AMAZING from start to finish and made the entire experience even better. One of those dinners where you leave already talking about when you're coming back If you're looking for the place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, date night, tacos & margaritas, or honestly just an incredible dinner in general... this is IT

When we tried them we realized she accidentally gave us each other's. No big deal but it happened again with the food when a different server brought it out. We ordered chilaquiles; one with chicken and one with carnitas. It was not bad but way spicier than anticipated, and we like spicy food. Service was also not great. She stopped once to take our order and once to bring the drinks. That's it. We did not get checked on until we were already almost done with our food. Cute patio. Inside seating wasn't busy at all.

Appetizers were quac and chips, and shrimp ceviche. The guac was really good, but the ceviche was the star. Served on a bed of cucumbers, it was visually beautiful, and the flavor was fresh and complex. There was also a LOT of it. We ended up taking some home. Entrees were steak and shrimp for me, and Tampiquena for my friend. In both dishes, the steak was done to perfection. The sauce that came with my shrimp was spicy and deep--lots of flavor layers there. Both of us took home portions of our meals because there was a lot of food on the plates. Finally, the service--the servers are attentive without hovering. If we needed something, they were there, but never intrusive. It is hard to believe this is a little neighborhood spot, given the service and the quality of the food. It was not too busy tonight--we ate early--but I recommend reservations. It is very popular with the neighborhood. Bottom line, we each had 2 margaritas, appetizers, and entrees, and our bills with tip were around $105.00 each--totally worth it! Try this little gem--you won't regret it.

It was a hot, humid day, but apparently it was warmer inside than on their sidewalk seating, so we dined outside. My wife ordered the Vegetarian Torta ($13.75) and I chose the Shrimp Torta ($14.50). Only real negatives were that they did not offer any draft beer options and the Chips y Salsa ($3.75) had a meager quantity of chips to eat their tasty and generous tomatillo and 3-chile salsa options. Would actually go 4.5 stars based on those 2 factors, but gave the benefit of the extra half star due to how good our service was and the excellent flavor of the veggie sandwich.
