Got here at 4:15 on Labor Day, they closed at 5 and they said we had to be out by 5 oclock. They would kick us out if we weren't done. Bad service if you ask me. 45 min it's a. Visit Chicago for the first time. I was looking for a place to have dinner and I ran into this place on Mannheim Rd. The atmosphere was very familiar with the very friendly waitresses. Fast service, I didn't have to wait long. The food is very good, it tastes all fresh and a good portion. My husband ordered a shrimp cocktail, he liked it a lot. Place was near to our location. It's sort of hidden in this strip mall. It was somewhat busy when we went. And they were shorthanded. So service was very slow. But friendly. Food was good. When in the area of Des Plains, eating seafood at Mariscos La Isla Dorada is your go to! We're not from the area of Chicago, we were visiting for the weekend and didn't feel like driving close to an hour towards La Villita to find authentic Mexican seafood. We saw their ratings via Google and decided to enter blindly. It was a stunner. Their decorations and the feel of La Isla Dorada made me feel like I was somewhere in the South of Mexico near the ocean. It was cute and the staff was very nice and cordial. Their menu is extensive and it's all seafood to the exception of a couple of items that are more traditional to your typical Mexican restaurant. Their food is mouthwatering. Salsas are always very hit and miss but their green salsa offered with the ceviche and tostadas mini appetizer was mind blowing. I will definitely enjoy this spot again if ever in the area of Rosemont/Des Plaines. The food was so good I forgot to take pictures. read more

My friend and I ate here before heading to the Allstate Arena. The food was amazing. Starting with the verde salsa and ceviche that they bring to your table immediately. I ordered a margarita on the rocks with Patron Silver. Yum! Not too sour. The Queso Fundifo with shrimp was served with warm tortillas and two additional sauces. This appetizer did not disappoint. We shared the shrimp enchiladas with special house sauce for our meal. The enchiladas were delicious! Our sever was very nice. Great experience all around. read more

I would like to point out first that the food at this location is very good. That been said, my issue today is not in regards to the food quality and more towards customer services. I'm a regular client of this establishment, my family comes here almost every week and me and my son come here very often as well for their delicious filete al ajo. That been said I cannot understand that usually the people at this establishment know me and my son and especially since we always order the same plates because is our favorite usually they know that my plate has to be non spicy since I do not eat spicy food at all, but today thinking that they would do it same as always, because it was a new server( not her fault) they cook my order spicy. After noticing this i rely the info to my server that o don't eat spicy then she said that she need it to ask the owner if they could make a new one for me since if they requested they would be charge for it. It's unbelievable to me that after asking him he told them no, they can't do nothing about it. Then i call to complain and all they said was im sorry and thanks for letting us know so we can let the cooks know and the lady that took the order supposedly had gone home when it was 10 mins from when i picked up. My husband and I went there yesterday, we ordered shrimp empanadas and on the menu it didn't say it has cheese. The ambiance is very nice. This is what drew me in for the first time. I ate some of a shrimp dinner(camarones diablo). I said "some" because I felt I was going to be sick. I threw the rest out. The next day I complained about the food in Spanish, and they all, yes all six people standing around with no work because there's no business, looked at each other dumbfounded. I walked out. This taco place opened recently and is a nice find. Prices are very reasonable. Their mushroom quesadillas are delicious. Just the right sauteed mix of flavors and it seems like it's made on a hand-made tortilla. They're tacos al pastor are also very good. Haven't tried any of their meals. We usually just go for the basic cheap items and they do a pretty good job and usually have takeout orders ready in under 20 minutes. Service has been great and the order takers are very friendly over the phone and helpful in the restaurant. We have driven past this place many times and noticed it seemed to be busy all the time. So we stopped in today. he interior is very nicely decorated and it's immaculate. That is a key ingredient for me. The chips are served with three different and awesome salsas. The food we ordered was very fresh and tasty. I'm a fan. And we'll come back again! We stopped back in the other day, and the menu was totally different. Gone were the wonderful salsas. Darn. The salsa served this time was way too spicy. This is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to. The waiters and owners are all extremely friendly. The drinks are enormous and very strong. The salsa is very spicy so if you can't handle spice I wouldn't suggest it. But if you like spice holyyyyyyyy smokessss it's so unbelievably good. Food portions are huge. I can not say enough about this place. I just randomly came here a few weeks ago. And I've been back twice since and all three times have been amazing experiences.
