Have had this place twice and each time was really good! They have a few combos that are well worth the price for the amount of seafood boil you receive. My husband and I typically just share the shrimp and crab leg combo and will add in hard boiled eggs and/or sausage. Always tasty! Service is great and attentive. Lots of space within the restaurant. We've come early(ish) on Fridays (about 5/5:30 pm) and by the time we're walking out there are a lot more tables being served. Would definitely give this place a try if you're in the area!

Stumbled upon this place because I was looking for a seafood boil spot! We used to go to Angry crab but they closed down. I'm so glad we decided to try out the Tasty crab, the food was not good, it was amazing!!!! An explosion of flavor and so much better than Angry Crab! My daughter who is 8, very picky eater btw was raving about how delicious this place was! Alex our server was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and gave us the best suggestions that did not disappoint! My toddler was even going in on the shrimp, noodles and fries! Every single item was tasty! My kids, can't wait to go back and quite frankly neither can we! The restaurant was clean and very cute suitable for casual, a date night, or in our case a family date. -Shout to alex! The best service we've had in a sit down restaurant, not sure which I was most impressed with, the service you provided or the food! Thank You!

This was a big roomy restaurant. The service was slow, but the seafood boil was good. We got shrimp, lobster legs, clams, mussels, and lobster tails. It was a nice portion of seafood. They did forget to add the corn and potatoes. And we actually didn't realize they were missing until we were stuffed. Needless to say it is a messy experience, but worth it. The seafood was tasty on the garlic butter seasoning and you get a nice portion of the seafood.

Came on a Saturday night and ordered some sweet potato fries and a combo with snow crab legs and mussels. Food came very fast. Great seafood, very delicious with the hot special house sauce. The sweet potato fries can be cooked crispier. The server was also very nice and sweet. I'd recommend overall.

No complaints. We were seated right away, our server was great, and the food came out relatively quick. My husband and I both opted to make our own boil. I had sausage and shrimp boil with their tasty seasoning blend in hot spicy level. It comes with corn and potatoes. The clam chowder and garlic noodles were really tasty. My kids also enjoyed the garlic noodles along with their kids' meals.

Food was very good. I thought the prices were reasonable. I made my own boil. With crab and shrimp in garlic butter. Everything on the menu is pretty customizable. I also had a clam chowder that was good. Location is clean and modern inside. Staff was friendly. I'd definitely go back.

This is my second visit here. The first time was approximately a few weeks after their opening and everything is so much smoother (the first time wasn't actually that bad, honestly). There are appetizers, soups, fried entrees, etc, but you're really here for the seafood boil. You can mix and match (sort of) between half pound and 1 lb options. You pick the flavor profile and the spice level and you get a steaming(!) bag of seafood, potatoes and corn cobs. I'm always going for the TASTY seasoning which is all the seasonings. You can't complain about bland food if you don't hit up the spices! The portions are generous and I'd wager some went above and beyond the portion size. Don't hold me to that! It was a weeknight and I don't know how they account for shell weight! The service is prompt and attentive. I don't think we had any issues where the server couldn't take care of it. The "common" seafood like shrimp, mussels, clams, are priced pretty well. The lobster and crab start to climb up in cost fast. It's a messy affair to eat - they supply the gloves and bibs and hardware - everything to keep it all clean. I know it's not proper, but I snuck in some of my own disposable gloves cause of the mess.

Yum! The food here was delicious, especially served in the boil bags -- there's just something about that style that makes the whole meal even more fun and enjoyable. The restaurant itself is clean, including the bathrooms, and the atmosphere is good and inviting. Service was okay -- it could definitely be a bit more attentive and personable -- but overall everything else made up for it. I'll definitely be back to enjoy the food again!

My coworker had mentioned this place and I was excited to try it out because I love a good seafood boil. I was also super impressed by the prices and was told their to-go option was pretty decent. I placed an order on their app which you pay for when you pick up. My food came out hot and came with gloves and bibs! The portion was generous and I felt full with one serving. My honest favorite was dipping the potatoes and corn in the sauces. I had the mild/non-spicy garlic butter and liked it. There was heat and wasn't super garlic/buttery but it was really tasty. I would definitely dine in. It's the old Bonefish Grill location with plenty of parking. While you're there- check out the Hallmark store! They have the cutest items!

What a delight. What's more is if you come during the week, they have some well priced specials. The garlic noodles are a must. Also consider getting the garlic bread and having your steam bag dumped into into the metal tray it come in, so you can sop up the sauce. A total win and a must return. Love the snow carb legs and shrimp.

The portions were large and honestly, easy to share. The fried calamari and shrimp and the shrimp scampi was SO GOOD. The cook was amazing, the shrimp were huge and had so much flavor. Something I was surprised by was the catfish. Holy crap. So much flavor and loved that it came with rice and potatoes. Get it. Just get it. The employees were efficient and helpful. If I'm in Chicago, I'll have to go back. Im dreaming of the fried calamari and shrimp combo and that catfish.

They added an enclosed outdoor seating area, Thats lets you enjoy the breeze or sun, but protects you from the rain. It used to be a tent, so this is definitely nicer. My wife and I were seated immediately. The server quickly brought us water and garlic bread. I really like that they give you 5 fairly big pieces of garlic bread for only two people. Nice touch. We were not in a hurry and couldn't decide what we wanted so we started with the calamari salad. $29, but it's huge and chock full of those calamari guys. Lettuce is always crisp and has everything I like in it (olives, eggs, carrots, artichoke, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and romaine lettuce). We were almost full just from the salad alone. I ordered a grouper sandwich (not fried), and my lovely wife ordered the Scottish salmon plate, which comes with potatoes and grilled vegetables. My sandwich came with coleslaw and fresh cut fries. They switched to fresh cut since my last visit, and this was an upgrade. My sandwich was great, and huge too. Could not finish it. Wife's meal was a humongous slab of salmon. The veggies now come on a smaller plate, but that's okay, given the size of the fish. Service was a tad slow, but like I said, we weren't in any hurry. Total tab was $100, with tax and that pesky 3% service fee. I really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. It's not a place I can go every week, but when I can splurge, and have a taste for fresh seafood, this is the best around.

I indulged in the lychee martini ($14), and it packed more of a punch than I was expecting. Party time. Mocktails go for around $7. Extensive cocktail, beer, and wine list. My favorite Italian dish lately is pasta frutti Di mare. Here, they use a linguine, but I prefer it with a fettuccine noodle, and I could have used a scoop more of linguine. The fruit of the sea was definitely plentiful! I got about 12 mussels, 3 clams, 5 calamari, and 3 jumbo shrimp. The red tomato sauce was flavorful; for me personally, I prefer this dish with a white wine/white sauce to keep it a little lighter. I did love how my entree was served piping hot and stayed piping hot the entire time I ate it! Husband enjoyed his salmon filet over mashed potatoes. The lobster bisque was flavorful, though the tomato chunks within it were a little unexpected. We skipped dessert here, but there is a variety of cake/tortes and gelato. Will return in the future! We arrived a little after 5:30 pm to avoid the rush. Rush ? What rush ? It's a Thursday night in a Windy City ( Chicago ) Suburb and it's 15 degrees outside. There is no rush. As we entered the restaurant we noticed that the place was relatively empty , yet , we were asked to wait as the staff checked to see if a table was available. After about a 5 minute wait it was determined that a table / booth was available. We opted for the booth. Yeah , like I said, the place was relatively empty. We sat down at our booth as the restaurant slowly began to fill up with customers. Menus were presented and after a quick perusal we ordered dinner. My friend ordered a glass of wine to accompany his Rib-Eye steak. I ordered the petite Filet Mignon. Yes Virginia , I'm watching my weight. Our waiter , I believe his name was Grant , provided us with excellent service and was very attentive to our every request. The restaurant is considered an upscale restaurant and the prices reflect that status. The lighting was dim , the decor chic , suitable for a date night or special occasion. It is large in scale with side rooms for parties and special events. A giant Bar is located in a side room that can accommodate a robust gathering. My friend enjoyed his meal and I found my Filet savory and tasty. The clam chowder that preceded the steak was excellent. We both enjoyed our dinner. The Capital Grille is a lovely place to dine as the food , service , and ambiance are on point. Yes ! I do recommend this restaurant for a night out , date night , or special occasion. I was vacillating between a 4 or 5 star award. Due to the excellent service I gave them a 5 Star Review. I will be back.
