Out of towner trying to locate top food destinations. Tortillas could have been a bit crispier, but this was AMAZING and with it.

I had the birria tacos and quise and chips. The queso was mediocre at best. The queso was way too thick and had no flavor. The chips were terrible. The chips were incredibly stale and they should not have been given to us. The tacos were great. The consume was rich and paired really well with the tacos. There were a few fatty bits but overall the tacos were delicious.

Another solid visit to Mama Rosa...Service is fantastic, super friendly....They had outdoor seating available, but I choose to take it and run from the Texas Heat...its only about 10 minutes from the house...and this round we tackled the Beast of the Menu....The Birria Pizza which consists of 3 layered tortillas with 1 pound of birria and Cheese....Easily can feed 4 so yes we had leftovers....Also took a shot at the Queso, which is white cheese with Poblano peppers, and its comes loaded with Birria and Avocado....was pretty dang awesome, Chips were fresh and the Salsa is simply outstanding...Both the queso and Salsa are way better then some brick and mortar joints we have visited...This is a great addition to the Manor area and will be our goto for game day. *Attached is a photo of the tacos we picked up last round that is no longer posted.

My husband and I tried Birrieria Mama Rosa 5 last week, and it was absolutely delicious (chef's kiss) I ordered the Birria torta and it was super tasty, the bread is toasted to perfection with cheese, it has the birria meat and pico de gallo, it was delicious, the portion size is excellent too. My husband ordered the Burrito and it was also delicious with rice in it, and we also ordered 2 sides of birria consomé and wow it was super savory and delicious, not too spicy just the right amount of heat and it had chunks of birria meat in it simply delicious. You must try this place! You won't regret it! Can't wait to try the other items in the menu or simply have another torta.

From the very first sip of that rich, creamy broth, I knew this place was something special. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the pork was tender and flavorful, and every bite felt like comfort in a bowl. Honestly, it's the best ramen I've ever had--and it's not even close. What really sets this place apart is the customer service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and truly make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The vibe is awesome--lively, clean, and the kind of place you want to sit, relax, and enjoy every minute of your meal. And whatever you do, don't pass up the Spicy Wings. They are sweet, spicy, and perfectly crispy--cooked just right with that satisfying crunch in every bite. Absolutely delicious and the perfect complement to an already amazing meal. Top-notch service, incredible food, and an unbeatable atmosphere--this place is a must-visit.

There's lots to do and shop for after or before eating! Service: Servers were friendly and attentive! Food: My bf and I both shared the chicken karage and then we each order the deluxe tonkatsu, I got the mild and he got the medium. The broth was super rich and creamy! I was really surprised. I really enjoyed the broth and its taste, however, the noodles were alittle clumpy. I would definitely recommend coming here, the food was delicious and fast!

Ramen Tatsu-ya Round Rock is the real deal! Just wrapped up…read moreanother great visit to the Round Rock location (960 North Mays) and had to bump this up in my book. Even with a heat index of 108°, I still walked in for their hot, succulent bone broth ramen...that's how good it is. The "LIVE NOODS" neon sign above the open kitchen is a perfect touch, you can watch the team pulling fresh noodles and building bowls right in front of you. It gives the place that energetic, authentic feel while keeping everything clean and modern. Wooden counters, red accent lighting, QR code ordering, and those sturdy stools make it comfortable for a quick solo meal or hanging with friends/family. Shout-out to Ana -- she was the absolute guide to deliciousness! She took my order with a smile and gave spot-on recommendations that led me straight to the good stuff. Service like that makes all the difference. I went with the Texasy Tonk (deep 60hr+ tonkotsu broth loaded with smoked brisket, smoked jalapeños, takana mustard greens, ajitama egg, and thunder oil) rich, savory, perfectly balanced heat, great chew on the noodles, and melt-in-your-mouth brisket. For the side I grabbed the Hot Pocketz from the Summer Combo (crispy birria-style brisket pockets with Oaxaca/Monterey Jack blend and birria dip). They were straight fire...crunchy exterior, gooey cheesy interior, spicy kick, and that dipping sauce took them over the top. Pro tip: Pour the remaining au jus from the Hot Pocketz into your Texasy Tonk broth at the end, it takes the flavor to another level! Cold beer + sake chaser rounded it out perfectly. Pro tip for first-timers: If you're new here, stick to the OG classics on the menu (like the straight Tonkotsu or Miso) -- they're rock solid. Once you're hooked, branch out to the fun Texas twists. Fast counter service, generous portions, and solid value (especially with the Summer Combo). Whether you're coming from Austin or just passing through Round Rock, this spot is worth the stop.

The costilla ones weren't bad either but the pastor was the clear winner between the two. I ordered the carnitas tonkotsu ramen and had no complaints here. Carnitas were tender, ramen was the perfect texture, and broth was delicious. S/O had the chilaquiles-men with green sauce and he loved it. Note: this is a DRY noodle dish AKA no broth. Somehow, against all odds, Ramen Del Barrio still exceeds its reputation. There's only one vegan ramen option but it's all you need, both in terms of portion size and flavor. I've never had anything quite like the mole tsukemen, a Tex-Mex mashup pairing rich mole broth served separately from handmade noodles so thick, you might mistake them for udon at a glance. Simple toppings of fried tortilla strips, avocado, charred jalapeno, and caramelized onions adorn the top. Before this moment, I thought I just wasn't a fan of mole. It turns out, I had never tried great mole before. This stuff dazzles with layered spices, melded so well that I can't pick a single one out from the pack. It's not overwhelmingly hot, but definitely leaves your lips tingling. I'm glad I finally got there before they close up shop at their current location in Hana World Market on December 21st, and even happier to know that their new brick-and-mortar isn't too far behind. I'll be there as soon as the doors open!
