Home made chips and salsa
Aki I.

This place is an East Side Vegas's gem. They specialize in sea food. I love this place. I've been coming here for years. I usually order fish tacos but today, I ordered A La Manteqila. They make the tortilla chips here too and salsa is home made and they are really good. Just go there. I recommend anyone who loves fish tacos. The service is friendly as well. Highly recommended.

Example of their beverage prices updated as of July 15 2024.

Amazing taste of a homemade seafood, Jalisco style flavor. No other seafood restaurant around has the prices so affordable. If you really like authentic Jalisco style Mexican seafood with very affordable prices and excellent service. This is the place to go.the the prices below. After 16 years since they open, they still continue with the same quality and affordable prices. Thank you Mariscos Vallarta!

Camarones Empanizados (Deep-fried shrimp)
Jay A.

A very simple place with decent food at a fair price. Nothing to write home about, but nothing to sneer at either. No decor to speak of - an open kitchen with diner-style seating. But the food is consistently tasty. I was concerned when my shrimp arrived looking like it might be dry and overcooked. Not to worry! It was perfect. The rice, beans, & tortillas were basic, but fine. The salad was unimpressive, but at least it was fresh and crisp. A 7-Shrimp dinner with a beer for $21 - not bad!! I'll have to get more adventurous with the flavors next time.

Fish Tacos

Great customer service. Greeted on arrival. Answered every question I had. And the food was fire. I got the fish tacos with no sour cream of course. The flavors really surprised me and filled me up. I couldn't finish all three. Will be back!

loaded oysters

It's a local hidden spot and the fully loaded oysters are 10/10 and reminds me of authentic mexican seafood from mexico. They have cheap drinks and it's a hole in a wall gem. The service is excellent. Ambiance is lit dive bar.

Julia B.

Kind of a hole in the wall but the service was good and the food was great. The horchata needed a bit more cinnamon and was very thin/watery but still tasted good.

I didn't realize that they also made the drinks. I sat at the bar and you can watch your food being made in the steam kettles. It's a pretty cool experience. I had the combo pan roast with lobster, crab, and shrimp. The chef asked me what spice level, I said 6 and it was perfect. Big chunks of lobster, shrimp, and crab in a very rich sauce with a scoop of perfectly cooked rice on top. It was so delicious. They also serve some bread so you can dip and make sure that bowl is clean when you're done. I highly recommend this place if you love seafood.

Stopped in after the Jordan Davis concert tonight, and boy did we get some delicious food. We ordered up a combo pan roast, oysters and a couple of waters. They give you a chunk of bread that is so delicious and perfect for dunking into the pan roast when it comes. The combo pan roast had delicious flavor, we didn't go with much heat because I feel it ruins the dish. The shrimp and seafood was cooked perfectly, the flavors in the broth were superb and the rice was perfectly cooked. The oysters, huge! So much meat and so much flavor on these oysters. I wish I had ordered 2 dozen. The staff is always amazing; the food is always delicious and the atmosphere is always upbeat and great. Go get a pan roast, seriously, do it now. You'll thank me later.

The kind you remember from Fisherman's Wharf -- thick, creamy, loaded with clams, and served in a sourdough bread bowl that starts soaking up flavor the second it hits the table. And honestly, San Francisco Bay Restaurant delivered exactly that. The chowder came out steaming hot with a rich, buttery texture that actually tasted like clams instead of just heavy cream. Worth the drive and a BIG thank you to Ashley for making our first experience memorable.

A male server took our order without using a notepad or pen. I've had servers do that before, and 99% of the time they've remembered everything without any issues. We ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer, the Seven Seas Chowder, and the New York strip steak. There was a bit of a wait, even though it was just my husband and me, and the only other table was a family of five who had already been served. After about 20-25 minutes, our food finally arrived but only the chowder and steak. No crab cakes. I asked if we were supposed to get the crab cakes first since they were the appetizer. Our server looked completely shocked and realized he had forgotten to put the order in. He apologized, and we told him it was okay because, at that point, we already had our entrées and weren't about to wait even longer for an appetizer. After that, he came back once to ask if we were good he never came back after.. no refill check.. none As for the food, it was decent. If you're someone who enjoys a good steak, you'll probably understand what I mean. The steak was well seasoned and had good flavor, but it was clearly a lower quality cut. There was a lot of fat, and it was pretty chewy. The seasoning helped make up for it, but only to a certain extent. The Seven Seas Chowder was actually very good. It was flavorful and packed with seafood, so that ended up being my favorite part of the meal. The bill came to a little over $71. I still left a 16% tip because I felt that was fair, although I normally tip 20%. Looking back, I honestly regret even leaving 16% because the service really wasn't it. Would I come back? I'm honestly not sure. If I do, I just hope I don't get the same server! or at the very least, I hope he starts carrying a notepad and pen to make sure orders don't get forgotten.

I am honestly confused by all the five star reviews…read more Ambiance was okay. Decor is decent but nothing spectacular at all. Does look better inside than it presents outside. We ordered cocktails from a very limited menu. Our waiter wasn't sure how to make the lemon drop martini on the menu but said he'd try to follow the recipe. We asked for Grey Goose but watched him pour shelf vodka. Drinks were served after the appetizers arrived even though they were ordered first. We started with oysters. Waiter said they only had two kinds tonight so we ordered 6 of each. He set them down and left to get tobasco we requested. When he returned we asked which were which he said "we only had one kind so they're all the same." I feel he should have told us before serving them since they were $4 each! I ordered coippino which at $46 was expensive but I wanted a treat. Hubby ordered large clam chowder in bread bowl and Caesar salad. Cioppino lists first ingredient as crab. What I was served had no crab, 2 overcooked shrimp and rubbery calamari. The sauce was flavorful but so disappointing otherwise. I asked about the crab and was told "no crab" and I was offered additional scallops as compensation. He brought three small scallops on a plate. Hubby was served two small bread bowls of chowder with the explanation of "we are out of large bowls". Again, it should have been discussed prior to serving that there was a substitution. Who wants two big loaves of bread bowl??? The salad adequate-- a big bowl of romaine with croutons with a side of dressing. All in all not worth the over $150 it cost. Not in the least! And they charge an extra 3% if you use a credit card. We will not be back.

The woman that served us was very friendly and made good recommendations. The food came out quickly and was delicious. If you get fries, make sure you try the garlic fries! There's limited booths and tables in side, but when the weather is nice, there's several more tables outside on their patios. You'll find a lot of seafood type dishes here as it's their specialty. While there is also options of beef and chicken, seafood is prominent. The server was super friendly and explained their menu to us. As in their name - they specialize in ceviche. We decided on the Playa Azul ceviche which is tuna based. The ceviche is a huge portion - an entree for 2! While we can certainly take leftovers home, I always like to eat a super fresh entree like this at the restaurant. The ceviche was so fresh - the sauce is amazing! There's some soya in it which gives it a little hint of Asian flavor and it was great. I really enjoyed it! It's served with a basket of chips and they provided plenty for the ceviche. At the end, we were both really full. They also sere complimentary chips and salsa to start!

Cevicheria Diamante was a miss for me…read more The service was frustrating from the start--our waitress repeatedly walked away mid-conversation while we were trying to answer her questions or ask our own, which made the whole experience feel rushed and dismissive. The food didn't make up for it. The ceviche was mediocre at best, and the tostadas were noticeably stale, which honestly ruined the texture of the dish. On top of that, the music was so loud that we couldn't comfortably hear each other or even communicate with staff without repeating ourselves. For the prices they're charging, I expected much better. You can easily find fresher, more flavorful ceviche at a local Mexican market for a fraction of the cost. Unfortunately, this wasn't an experience I'd return for.

Finally tried takeout from this new Cajun/seafood jazz club (all my favorite things in one package)…read moreafter venturing over one night only to discover they had closed up early. Since their recent opening, they have had some slow nights that warranted closing up earlier than their posted hours -- something to keep in mind. They also only seem to be serving "mocktails" at the moment (no alcohol). Dine in to enjoy live music on weekends! So how's the food? I really had high hopes because I enjoy some good Cajun-style seafood and their menu (especially during weekends) offers great variety from Frog Legs and Oysters "Rockafella" to Gumbo and Seafood Boil. They even offer several Vegan entrees and dessert. Unfortunately, the dishes I tried just didn't hit as expected. Surf & Turf Burger. Big, plump shrimp with no shortage of ooey gooey cheese but even with the plethora of sauces and seasonings, the flavors didn't quite pop. Just a standard burger with added shrimp. Good bun, though, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. Grilled Salmon & Shrimp. Again, great presentation of seafood and creamy sauce filled with various goodies like crawfish, all WITH a generous helping of cheese grits. Sounds heavenly but not a dish for which I'd go out of my way. Shrimp was perfectly tender but salmon was dry and definitely needed the sauce. Good Sizzler/Texas style garlic toast on the side. Seafood Potato With Salad. Okay, this was the main event that drew me to this place but WOW, was I disappointed. It was literally a baked potato broiled with seafood and cheese. I expected much more flavor. For some reason, the cheese grits accompanying this dish had an unpleasantly pungent, foot-like aroma and taste that was not as noticeable in the Salmon dish, possibly attributed to the cheese blend? I really wanted to report back with glowing praises, especially since the owners and staff are so warm and welcoming! I hope my remarks help this business grow and improve with time.
