Dented, dinged and damaged multiple items. left ample space in truck to fill it. didn't take care with items. Condescending attitude. Assumed I'm upset about a couch I couldn't fit in my new apartment and continuously mansplained what I should have done and how everything is my fault. compared to the moving labor I had the previous day who were courteous, careful, and mindful, it was an awful experience. i've left a review on MovingHelp.com but am also leaving one here because the owner then called me repeatedly to talk about the review, blamed everything on me when we spoke, and on "tight stairwells" instead of his responsibility to be careful, and then hung up when I raised my volume the slightest bit. (mea culpa but you got me heated.) At the end of the day, you're providing a service to me, not the other way around. And just because somepne purchases insurance doesn't mean they want to replace items. Some are heirlooms and irreplaceable. To have THOSE damaged is what I'm angry about which is what I would have said if he had LET ME FUCKING TALK. read more

Was blessed to have chosen the right moving company. They were super fast yet gentle with all of my things. All of the movers were very nice and professional and courteous and I've never had a more pleasant moving experience. They had to move my kitchen island, 2 dressers (1 of them being completely made of mirror), my large picture frames of my great uncle and almost 30 boxes. Honestly, great guys and great experience. Will choose them again if I ever move again but I highly recommend them for sure. Also well worth the value especially if there's going to be as many positives as there were. read more

We hired two guys from Marjam to help us unload a U-Haul into a Brooklyn apartment. We were kind of nervous because we had to double park and we thought it would take a long time to unload. The movers arrived 15 minutes early, were super respectful, were very careful with our stuff, and unloaded the truck extremely quickly and efficiently up two flights of stairs. Honestly I was blown away and would hire these guys again in a heartbeat. read more

The best moving crew on the planet. We recently went through a rough long distance move involving two load ups and two unloads. Our stuff had to stay in storage while we found permanent digs. We needed a crew to unload our Uhaul and pack the contents of a 20' truck into a fifth floor storage room. The moving gods were smiling on me when I selected Marjam Movers from Uhaul's partner company 'Moving Helpers.' They arrived on schedule, scoped out the logistics of the job and went straight to work. I have never seen such hard working men in my life. Never took a break, were careful and considerate with our possessions, took the trouble to help us pull out the items we were taking to the hotel, and they remained cheerful and polite throughout four hours of heavy labor. Warren is in charge of the business and we were glad to have him along. He advised us that when the time came to unpack he recommended a three-man crew (I had ordered two men this time). Although it's more per hour, it would end up reducing the number of hours needed. He took the trouble to explain all this clearly. We were so pleased that when the happy day arrived to move into our home, we didn't hesitate but contacted Marjam directly and set up the next job. Their communication is excellent - we exchanged many a text message and phone call while making the plans. Once again, the crew was on time (waiting for us, in fact!) and they worked, worked, worked with speed, efficiency, and care, both in loading the truck and unloading at the new residence. I can't recommend them highly enough. They deserve seven stars. Note, they serve a much wider area than it shows here. Our move involved Rockville Centre and Hempstead. I truly hope it will be a l-o-n-g time before we move again, but if we did I would trust the job to Marjam. read more

I had a last minute move from my apartment wnd I had underestimated how much I needed to do to load up my uhaul once everything was packed, at this point it was 4pm, so I felt super defeated and wasn't sure how I was going to manage. I found Marjam movers and was able to be assisted within an hour. Marvin was my mover and he was absolutely amazing. He managed to get everything done in an hour and made sure everything fit inside the uhaul. Definitely recommend. read more

These guys truly went above and beyond. I had to get my apartment packed up while I was across the country and it had the potential to be a nightmare but they really came through. I hired them through U-Haul to load up a pair of modular boxes but U-Haul never showed up. Thought I was going to have to reschedule but the crew leader had me rent him a truck from a local place, picked it up, and coordinated a storage room rental with me over the phone. Even spotted me the fee, which I returned with a generous tip that he earned every cent of. 10/10, you can count on them to get the job done. read more

I booked this company through Uhaul, paid in advance and waited over 2 weeks for them to contact me to schedule the time of the move, as UHaul explains is the process. With less than 1 week until the move I had still not heard anything so I reached out to the company and was told "we schedule all moves 1 week out", even though was less than a week out. He said he'd call me later that night to schedule it, but never called. The following day I called again and was told "we'll call you this weekend", and I told them I moved Monday. When I expressed my concern and said I need to know before then if the schedule won't work out so I have time to find another company, he told me if I don't like it to go find another company, and hung up on me. Warren and his team were recommend to us by Rented Truck Driver and we couldn't be happier with the results! Super reasonable and upfront pricing, considerate employees, and very fast -- they moved us out out of our one-bedroom apartment in 90 minutes (and they would have been even quicker, except we had some trouble on our end with the service elevator). I would not recommend this company; you pay for what you get here. They were unprofessional and did not treat my furniture with care - banged into walls, dropped some of the pieces at the foot of the stairs, and had no regard for keeping my things in good condition. I asked them twice to try to be more cautious/gentle with moving the furniture (I know it's not an easy job), and not bumping it into doorways/walls. I would have spent more money to hire professional movers. read more

So two days before the move I get a phone call from a guy with a crying child in the background asking me about essentially for an inventory of what needed to be moved.. Upon learning the HELPERS I was hiring would actually be helping others there was suddenly a problem... When I asked for the reservation to be canceled I was hung up on.... DO NOT HIRE!! This company is unprofessional and appalling! I hired them through Uhaul moving help. Iv had such a good experience with Uhaul until dealing with this company! They did not start at the time agreed upon and rushed through because they had another job after. After an hour, they demanded the payment code. I refused to release it until after I spoke with customer service. The guy threatened to call the police if not paid on the spot! As if the police could do anything, it was booked online. The agreement clearly states no cash will be exchanged. He harassed my father, an elderly man, for payment! He also insulted me saying I had personal problems and was taking it out on him. Really?? Am i not asking for the service I paid for in the manner I booked it?? My father gave in and paid him to make him leave. Whats worse is customer service quickly cancelled the order and would not let me leave a review. From the other reviews I now see on Yelp, I should not have booked them in the first place!! They were wonderful! They showed up on time and as I'm knew to moving, they would not let me lift a finger to help move anything out of the truck and told me to relax. The building I moved into had narrow walls so they took apart all the big stuff and put it back together. I didn't have tools and they made sure to bring theirs so they could put together my bed (for free!). Really friendly, respectful, and extremely hardworking guys! There was no A/C and it was 90 degrees out but they kept working nonstop to my 4th floor walkup. Thank you so much! read more

The first thing I have to mention is please DO NOT pay them in advance or if you are renting with a payment code do not give it to them until job is complete. Please read other reviews on this site https://www.movinghelp.com/reviews.aspx?id=58335, they do not respond well or professionally to honest reviews. With that said, I hired them recently and they were very rude, unprofessional, purposely took long because I was paying by the hour, damaged alot of my personal items, broke my fridge because they did not want to listen to me on how to remove it from the apartment. When I spoke with them about my concerns, they did not take it well and immediately started giving me really bad attitude, they tossed my boxes that clearly said fragile on them. To top it off my move started at 6ish pm and it was midnight and they still had not finished and because I once again told them my concerns they left my items on the street boxes, sofa washing machine etc. took the truck that was rented by me under my credit card returned it and sent me a text message stating my items were outside have a nice day. All this saying i was alone with my mother (64 yrs old) and my two kids (10 and 2 years old). I had to figure out how to get these things in no hand trucks because they took them with the truck at 12am my son crying because he couldn't fall asleep with all the noise, my mom back hurting because she is not suppose to try to carry anything. Such a mess! I regret paying them ahead of time. I am writing this review mainly to avoid other people from having to go through this. They seriously took advantage and it is unfair, they have gotten away with it before and think its okay to do these things to people but it is not! Please take reviews seriously, yes some are good but notice the bad ones have a lot of things in common!! Not everyone is unreasonable, I have moved a few times more than I should and have never encountered such an issue! read more
