She said I'm sorry I don't know you'll need to ask my manager. I waited around for 10 minutes for the manager to finally become available. I explained to her what I needed for my return line, she said oh I know just the thing took me over and gave me an adapter for closing off the suction line. I asked why I would want to close the water return line? She said this is the adapter you need in order to do that. I said I'm not trying to stop water from entering the pool, nor am I trying to stop water from exiting the pool to the filter. Absolutely clueless about one of the most basic things when it comes to water filtration in a swimming pool. One line sucks the water in to the filter, the other line goes from the filter back into the pool. That's where I need the adapter so I can put my fountain back in. Again, she picked up the adapter with a vacuum lock lid, and said this is what you need. And brick-and-mortar stores wonder why they're getting their butts kicked by Amazon!! #CluelessManagement

Although I was about to purchase a hot tub from a large, well known dealer in Corona, I decided to look at Custom Spas Direct, which has good online reviews and happens to be very close to our house. I'm glad I did. I was not familiar with the Vita spa brand that Custom Spas Direct sells. There's very little information available online. After doing some digging, I determined that Vita is a decent, mid-range spa with competitive pricing. Nothing fancy, but it's built with good components from companies like Balboa Water Group. Dealing with Custom Spas Direct has been fantastic. It's a small company and we interacted directly with Jim Galpin, the owner. Jim is a straightforward guy and he was very helpful in choosing a spa. Since I was unfamiliar with Vita, I had a lot of questions and he patiently answered all of them. He quickly responded whenever I sent him a text with a question or request. After the purchase, he was super flexible with regard to delivery, setup timing, coordinating with the electrician's schedule, etc. The delivery and setup was quick and well done. The installer did a good job answering all of my questions. We've had the spa six months and have had a couple of minor issues. One was probably due to user error on my part and the other was not. In both cases, Jim responded to my texts immediately and quickly resolved my issue, even during a holiday week. This means that the weekly person didn't really care to bring up issues and was not thorough. The owner subcontracted someone to refinish our slide which started peeling a year later and then pawned off responsibility to the subcontractor who ghosted us. At this time, our pool was starting to also look green with black specs. Needless to say, we were paying for subquality work by an owner that didn't care because we never even actually met him.
