I found Crosnos Transmission on yelp and they had good reviews. When I called they were upfront that it would take two weeks to even get started on it because of their current work load. After I told them what was happening with it, they quoted me a ballpark price that was about $1600 less than my other quotes and was exactly what they ended up charging me after I took it to them. They had my Suburban for about 3 weeks. They warranty their rebuilds which is nice so as long as you live within or breakdown within driving distance. However, if it goes down while on a road trip you are going to have to ship it back before they can fix it. I only made it four stars based on two things. The man who runs the shop is grumpy, and 3 weeks is a long time to go without a car. I have had my vehicle back for over a month and am about to take a trip in it, so I will update the review if anything happens significantly during the trip.

They sold me tires that were underrated for my van. I have a class E and needed a bigger tire. The shop I took it to for something unrelated conveyed that it was a miracle I didnt blow the tires on my drive out here. Their solution? Bring it back. I live 27 hours away. Ridiculous. Wasted on $537 on tires that could've killed me. The manager stated he only installs what the customer wants... I wanted safe recommended tires that were meant for the van that I own! Their negligence to do their job and install SAFE tires is a reason to stay far away from this company!

The next morning around 8:30 AM, the attendant called me and told me that he's getting ready to take my car in to do the wheel alignment. He did not call me again until about 2:30 PM. to inform me that he could not do the wheel alignment due to a bad CV axle, a bad left control arm, due to a bad, trailing arm, due to a bad rack and pinion, he told me that I would need all these things plus front brakes, back brakes, and all new rotors. I told him that I just had back brakes put on it the day before. Then he began stuttering, and said "oh" . So he lied about me needing back brakes. I asked him if he got my car in at 8:30 AM. Why did it take him until 230 to call me to tell me that he could not do the alignment. I told him that my car was running fine, and I had not noticed any of those things, and that I would just come and pick up my car. When I picked up my car, my car was still up in the air with all of the wheels off. I told him that I was coming to get my car, so I asked him why don't you have it put back together if you knew you could not do this wheel alignment and I told you that I was coming to get it. There was a lot of clanging coming from my suspension. I noticed that one of my hub/wheel bearings was humming which it was not when I took the car in. It was not making any of these noises. I called the Car X and asked the guys what did they do to my car. I seriously honestly believe that these people sabotage my car so I could pay the almost $6000 they said it would take to fix it. That is an outrageous price if I was gonna get it fixed there. Everything that he named I can get done for under $700 but there was nothing wrong with my car! My belief is that these guys are crooked! Please steer clear of them. Zero stars.

Today was the 2nd time something like this happened out there. I took my 03 pickup in yesterday and told Kevin I think the starter is going out. He called this morning and said they pulled it in, looked at it and found the nut holding the power cable on had backed off just enough to lose connection intermittently. They could have just stuck a new starter on and charged $300 or $400. They charged a half hour labor and handed the key back with a smile. It's stuff like that that keeps folks coming back. I wish they worked on boats too. I can't express to you how highly I recommend these guys.

I realized after the fact the one you had to call and schedule. The owner Corwin went a head and let me have a free oil change as a new customer. Only charged me for the tire rotation service. They also did a free diagnostic and were able to show me on screen what's going on. Pictures included. They offer shuttle service if you need it, snacks, and drinks upon waiting. They apologized on my wait time going over than expected. ( given valid reasoning) very nice staff. Complimentary water with coaster in the car when you're services are completed.
