We had a tire spewing air out of it, and it was 6:30pm on a Wednesday. We didn't know where to go, so I got on yelp and found Tire Choice and called them. I told them we were in O'Fallon and could be there in 15 minutes, as they closed at 7. We arrived at 6:40 and they were waiting for us. I didn't get his name but he immediately got the keys and pulled the car into the bay. Turns out we needed a new tire because the hole was on the side and couldn't be patched. We walked out the door at 7:01 with a brand new tire and a smile on our faces. They made a very stressful situation so much better in a matter of 15 minutes! And the price was very reasonable for a new tire, I think the total was $178 out the door. They saved our day and we will use them from now on for all our tires. read more

You know when people say, I should have listened to the reviews other left, this is your I should.... if you value your vehicle and wheels. It has been THREE weeks since my wheels were installed and scratched/damaged by them and I still cannot file a claim through Monro 1-800-876-6676 opt. 2. The store manager cannot do anything about it when attempting to file a claim, it is up to Monro. I thought W***rt tire center was bad, this is much worst. I have called multiple times the 6676 number, please continue to hold, your call is important to us please continue to hold, w the dreaded piano music, the moment I changes to a some mellow tone, which usually is about 50min into waiting, once it reaches 59min w 59 seconds the phone call will be disconnected. I hate, I mean I really really hate taking my car to this place. I paid for everything online, they tried to charge me the valve stems allegedly according to them it is not included w the installation,I mean the front desk talking out of their A*** h0l3. Had show them the online receipt. So I am not the competition as this place is a joke, but do remember if the wheels or anything happens to your car the company, not Tire Choice nor Monro will pay for damages. Absolute worst...do NOT recommend. Car was there for 7 hours with them actively working on it. All I needed was the hose's replaced for my windshield wiper fluid. 3 incorrect parts brought to the store...nobody was letting me know what was going on...I waited at the store for 4 hours because I didn't have a ride back up to the shop. When I called at 10:30 they informed me only 1 more hour... I watched 6-7 people come and go with their vehicles. I try to be patient because I understand retail work but that was ridiculous...Will never be back! I think worst part is i never got a "sorry" for continuously keeping me there. read more

I blew a tire yesterday and was going to get 4 and an alignment for 700...they called My husbands phone after I confirmed my number with them twice and told him I just needed 1 and an alignment and that was damn near 400.... he said ok. Then he was sleeping when they called him to tell him that my car was done after they closed so I wasn't able to get until next morning and they didn't put my spare tire back correctly and lost the bolt that holds it in. I am the person who brought MY car in and asked for 4 tires, not my husband. Why on earth was it ok for them to call him and change what I wanted. He showed me and my dad the things he recommended to change and explained why they were needed. He explained and was honest about the work and unfortunately due to my leaving the state today, I was not able to stick around and do them! Don't ever go here! No one here has experience on fixing things, especially bleeding brakes. I spent over 1,000 dollars on brake parts and they still didn't get it fixed. I had our car there six days and got the run around. Finally, Sat. we went in to see the progress and got the run around again for a total of 1 hr. and then decided to just pay whet we owe and just leave. I am so mad by this time but hey they are giving me a free oil change. NO THANK YOU! I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK! I want a refund at least half of the dang power brake booster that they somehow charged $300.00 for which I looked up and could not find any one over $150.00. Started out okay but mechanic seemed unhappy with getting my vehicle. At the end there were oil/grease hand and finger smears on the driver's door. It actually looks as though someone cleaned their fingers off on my door. Lousy customer service, I'd say. Auto Tire I really liked, this I don't at all. Not planning on ever returning. We arrived in the St. Louis area with 4 kids and a family funeral to attend, all during a summer heat index warning (around 104 degrees) and our A/C went out!! Pretty miserable to say the least. Most places close early on Saturdays and closed on Sundays and we needed to head back to Chicago Sunday afternoon. I called Tire Choice in Fairview Heights, IL. and told them I wanted to schedule an Oil Change, they said you're pushing it, its going to be hard to get in this week because everyone is trying to leave town this weekend. I said, I understand when do you have available, they said can you drop off in the morning time next week, I ask do you have anything after 5:00 PM, they said That's not happening, I said how about a Saturday, they were about to schedule me a couple of weeks out, then I said maybe I should call you back later, then they Very quickly said OK and hung up. I then went to their website where I was able to make a 5:30 appointment for the same day no problem. I go there, they are not busy, they got me in right away. When I left I notice the sticker in the window they put said I had my Oil change on the 21st of May, its the 26th, and they put the mileage down as 2,000 less miles than I had on the car. I had not quite the best experience here several months ago; I'd placed it out of my mind...but the stupid oil change reminder card and the incessant emails annoy me so much, I have to let it out. I've heard great reviews about Autotire as a chain, so when it came time for an oil change, Autotire was high on the list. That and the Sunday hours. I'm a bit of a newbie at this because my previous car had lifetime free oil changes at the dealership, so that was the only place I've ever gone to. That and my Dad. But I digress. Doing the ever essential research online, I printed out the $19.99 coupon they have on their site for the Oil Change +Plus. It's an oil and filter change, brake inspection, tire pressure check, and a four tire rotation deal with a $2.25 disposal charge and a warning that additional charges may apply. Fair enough. I see these coupons all the time. So I go in, and it starts off with yellow flags. The guy at the counter takes my coupon, does a bunch of inputting of sorts, and gives me a printout with a total of approximately $28, which means approximately another $6 in fees and taxes. He sort of defensively / apologetically states that these are just extra fees they tack on. Um, ok. I guess so, I mean, just look at my cell phone bill; they do that all the time. They take my car back then and some time later, an employee pops out to tell me that a) my right strut is leaking and needs to be fixed immediately, b) would I like my air filters changed while I'm at it? and c) would I like to upgrade my oil change? What? It's a new car! I just came in for a simple oil change and a tire rotation!! To give them credit, the employee did say that since it was a newer car, the warranty ought to cover the strut. He looked at me askance when I said I'd save the air filter change until the next time and stated that a regular oil change was just fine - I mean, really, it hadn't even been 12,000 miles yet! Plus, I think the filter change is one of the easier things that you can do by yourself and save $20 in the meantime. I mean, I'm a girl, but I'm not DUMB. Then as a final snub, after he's all done, and I'm ready to leave, I restart my car and notice that all of my tire pressures are unchanged on the monitor. As in, my tires were never checked or rotated. Huh. That was corroborated later by looking at the wheels as one of them already is slightly dented. I wish I could say something positive, but now that I'm at another 3,000 miles further, I'll be looking for another oil change place and staying far away for this one. The final insult? This new coupon card they sent me has the same online deal for $24.99, which is $5 more than the online coupon...and the same price they advertise in store! read more

Noticed oil accumulating in my parking spot about 2 months after my oil change here. I took my car to the nearest Dobbs and they found that Autotire had not only used the wrong plug to close my oil pan but tightened it so hard that it cracked the oil pan. Now im out 300 dollars to replace my oil pan. I'd highly advise against coming here unless you enjoy wasting money. read more

A low tire inflation warning light appeared on my borrowed car. The ambient temp was sub-freezing & the wind was howling. I pulled into AutoTire & they not only remediated the problem for free, the manager refused to charge me. I had to force the tech to take a $5 tip. This is my oil change/tire rotation place only. They do those things inexpensively (I can often walk out for around $25 including fees and taxes). HOWEVER, they are liars. They always tell you need something that costs several hundred dollars when you don't (I usually have my favorite mechanic shop look at it when it isn't laughably obvious that I don't need something that they suggest). They even once told me I needed new tires the same month that I had put on four brand new tires (of a brand that is well known to have a terrific warranty including road hazards, which wasn't what they were claiming...so even if it does wear early it would be on the manufacturer [at least prorated]). read more

Went in for my tire rotation was told my tires where bad only had 19 thousanfd mikes on them and had been rotated once. Told should have been done every 5 thousand miles. Ordered my tires and my appointment on line. Got a call the next day but since I was not home they left me a message to call back which I did as soon as I got home from work. Floyd answered the phone, I told him about my phone message and it went down hill from there. They had no record of my phone call, no record of my order and told me that he would check it out and call me right back. That was Friday, no phone call. No phone call all weekend. Took my paperwork to Auto Tire and he acted like I was making him go out of his way to check this out. Made two phone calls. Told me he can't get the tires. I said the print out shows you are selling these and here is my quote. He said just because they list them don't mean I can get them............ Went for an oil change. Was given an estimate for brake replacement of over 900 DOLLARS. What a rip off. Had them replaced elsewhere for less than 200 for everything. Not even the first time I've been overcharged for work. Will not be taking either of my vehicles back to them in the future. Watch your wallet in this place. read more

This Autotire is horrible. The management staff is very rude. I've spent well over $6,000 throughout the years with them and I will never return. Issue 1: I have two vehicles and I always get my tires through them. The manager that assist me this particular day was overcharging me for tires and some mechanic work that I needed. I reached out to Autotire in Edwardsville, they gave me a much better quote. Same company, different people, better customer service skills. Issue 2: my blower on my vehicle had been going in and out. I called about the issue and it's $110 an hour for diagnostic. I simple ask if they could test the blower first because it was going in and out for the last several days. The response I get is, "we can replace the blower if that's what you want but I can't guarantee it'll fix your issue." The staff here is a joke and I hope they get replaced soon. read more

WILL NEVER GO TO AUTO TIRE AGAIN!!!! EVER!!!!! HORRIBLE COMPANY AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SUERVICE!!!!!! PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU PLAN TO GET TIRES FROM AUTOTIRE. I had (4) yokohama Geolander tires put on my SUV recently at Auto Tire. After they were installed they took it out to test drive it, they came back and said it was good to go. I drove it for a day and it rattled/wobbled very bad. I took it back and had the tires re-balanced, and same thing, they came back from the test drive and said it was fine, but it was far from fixed. I took it back AGAIN and they re balanced the tires, took it for another test drive and said it was fine. I left and had to turn around because it was still wobbling. I asked the guy that test drove it to come for a drive. We got on the highway and he said he could not feel anything wobbling. I said look at my watch on my arm bouncing back and forth, look at my keys wobbling backing and forth, and look at my water bottle (you can see the water shaking!!!! He said, "oh now I can feel it". We took it back and they re-balanced the tires AGAIN!!!! When we got back the store manager said we have balanced the tires (4) times now and I guess we just can get it right with our out dated equipment. He suggested that I take it to Waterloo IL (45 minutes away) where they have better balancing equipment. After a few weeks I found time to take it to waterloo IL where they had a road force balancing machine. Got it back and it is a little better but still the tires are not balanced right. SO after (5) balances, I have all this tape residue all over my wheels from autotire removing the weights and using double stick tape to put new ones on. they didn't even remove the old tape! I called the corp. office 2 weeks ago and they had a district manager call me. HE WAS NO HELP WHAT SO EVER! He recommended that I take it to the dealership where they could try to figure out what is going on. I explained that the dealer was an hour away and that I have already had it in the shop for this issue (5) times and I was tired of the inconvenience. He said," I know this is a pain in the a$$, but it is a process to figure out what was going on". Really! Not once did he mention that maybe it could be a bad tire, or lets try putting different tires on, or not once did he offer any other suggestions. He basically said yeah this sucks, just take it somewhere else to see if they can fix it!!! So I have a 2 1/2 year old Acura MDX SUV ($45,000 very nice SUV) that drives horrible thanks to Autotire. So bad that I have consided just taking it to get new tires somewhere else or trading it in! WILL NEVER GO TO AUTO TIRE AGAIN!!!! EVER!!!!! Poor experience. Went around doing some competitive pricing for new tires for my vehicle, and ended up choosing Autotire because they seem to had the best deal. Poor decision. The tires that I originally wanted, they did not have in stock. The rep at the counted did not even want to order the tires for me. He insisted on just picking some tires they had in stock. Keep in mind I was in no desperate need of tires that day, I just knew I was going to need some soon. I decided to go with some Yokohama's, very smooth tire. Autotire tried to tell me that they could not do a wheel alignment on my vehicle because I needed a control arm. Well the day prior to that I had my car serviced at AAMCO for a Tie rod and wheel alignment and they assured me that everything was fine. Autotire tried charging me over $500 for a control arm... a simple control arm that I don't even need. Just another scamming auto "care" shop. What makes my experience worse is that they claim that a wheel balancing is "free" and included in the tire installation. They DID NOT balance my new tires at all. I can already see wear on the tire from them not being balanced. I took my vehicle to two certified mechanics and they both said my control arm was fine, only problem is my tires are WAY off balance. I just got my car serviced at Autotire two week ago. No way in hell my tires should be out of balance that bad in two weeks. They never balanced the tires to begin with. I recommend no one go to Autotire. Poor customer service, and poor service in general. They will try and charge you for parts you don't even need, and charge you for services they don't even complete. Save your money and go someplace far away from this Autotire! read more
