Instead she & her assistant over processed my hair by leaving me sitting and waiting for an hour. I called that evening to speak to Stephanie but no one answered so I left a voicemail. She didn't bother to return my call! Instead she texted me! How unprofessional! I called the next morning and the receptionist told me Stephanie was too busy that's why she didn't call me, which is ridiculous! Your receptionist never contacted me, I called the next morning myself after I saw your text. You have never called my phone nor has the receptionist. I had to call you all. I told the receptionist the assistant didn't follow the 20 mins off and 20 mins on for the haircap. She left me sitting there for about 20 mins before she turned the time on. Put the cap on and set the timer. Followed by taking the cap off and setting the timer again for 20 mins! She also failed to leave me with the toner for an additional 5 minutes like Stephanie told her. She over processed bleach and under processed toner. So my hair looks terrible on the top of my head! I can't even run my finger through my hair not to mention some of my hair strands are white and not blonde!!! Stephanie if your assistant doesn't understand how important processing time is maybe it's time to teach her! I will never return and I don't recommend your Salon! You are very unprofessional! Offering to give me a deep hair treatment will not fix over processed brassy hair! Next time have some sense and call your client back! By the way I paid $440 for my hair! FYI by the way years ago she bargained prices so that's how it use to work Stephanie. I see things have changed! But the quality of service has gone down. The picture you took of my hair was a small shot. You never even sent me the pics which I asked for. You wanted to me to leave. Let's not talk about the choppy haircut you gave me to hide the broken hair. Not taking accountability or even caring for your clients is a terrible way to run your business.

Long story short, I came to Annum after nearly 2 years of not letting anyone touch my hair because of a disaster that left me in tears with shoulder length hair when I was supposed to only get an inch off my super long hair (obvs, this wasn't her who did it). Now I literally only trust Annum to do my hair and recommend her to all my coworkers, friends, and family. Not only is she precise with all her cuts and color, she can also recommend what she thinks will be flattering for you which is especially nice for people who may not come in with inspo pictures. After she brought life back to my sad hair, I trusted her to finally go ahead and give me some color with a balayage. I haven't looked back since then and have only been going lighter with each visit! The best part is that even several months later, my balayage looks fresh and perfect despite my hair growing out. I personally give her creative freedom and trust her with whatever color she thinks is gonna look great on me but you can always bring/show her what you want and she'll recreate it to the best of her abilities! Remember folks, every artist is different and uses different techniques so an exact recreation isn't really possible. She's great at listening to what you want while also protecting your hair from any unnecessary damage and if you aren't happy with it (which I'm sure is rare) she'll fix it! Annum herself is a delight to come in and see. She's always so sweet and sociable - it's always fun to talk to her while she's working her magic on my locks! I appreciate that she has her own private suite in a salon with other artists which does make her hijabi friendly BUT bear in mind that there are men who will walk around as they probably work there too. In terms of pricing, I think her rates are very fair especially considering what some other salons (super side-eye to yall) charge for balayages and color services that aren't even close to beauty that she creates. Again, bear in mind that while it isn't cheap - no hair stylist gives you a refund for services already done! Common sense right? Apparently not. Like I said before, if you aren't happy for whatever reason; let her know and she'll fix it. You'll be hard pressed to try and find ANY salon or stylist that'll refund you for any reason. Booking is easy but she does book super fast so make sure you make your appts well in advance!
