Our nightmare began in September 2017, and ended right before Christmas that same year. Three months could actually have been longer if it wasn't for Mark Scott Construction. We had a water hose connection break loose and flood our upstairs bathroom in the middle of the night. Although our house had been renovated in some places, its bones were built in the 70's. Consequently, when you get a flooded bathroom upstairs, you get a Serenity Wall Fountain downstairs! The insurance company called the Restoration Company who found Asbestos, and then there's Abatement. Our home looked like a quarantine area for Astronauts after their return from a Lunar Landing. Finally that was done, and we had options to hire a Contractor to rebuild the inside of our home. What we thought would be a simple drying out and a small patch replacement of drywall, turned out to be 3 months of Restoration, Abatement, and Reconstruction. Thankfully, we hired Mark Scott Construction. After the initial estimate was done, I was assigned Frank Capaldo as our Project Manager. Being a manager myself and somewhat OCD genetically, I needed constant communication of the process. (i.e. what is happening, when it is going to happen, how long access is needed, what are next steps, and where are we in the phase of completion?) I did not even have to ask Frank for any of this information ahead of time. HE was on point with any and all information before I even asked! He was intuitively communicative, extremely kind and considerate of our family and our home. Appointments with outside vendors or others within his company were followed through as scheduled. If there was a concern of any kind and if anything was even slightly amiss or not to expectation, Frank was on it and made it right to my satisfaction! However, what I appreciated the most coming from a Customer Service background, was Frank's willingness to go above and beyond to fit things into my schedule, and not the other way around. (You know how that is; where you are given only 1 or 2 options for an appt and YOU have to adjust your work schedule and your families schedules to get stuff done? And when you do get the time off to be there, sometimes they don't even show?) With Frank Capaldo representing Mark Scott Construction, I did not have those migraines during this project. I am a High School Administrator and a University Professor and I work from 7AM to sometimes 9PM 3-4 days per week. This work was being done at my second home where one of my family members resides. Therefore, it was even more difficult to schedule appointments for this property. Nevertheless, Frank knew how important it was to me that this work be done quickly, (especially for family during the Holidays,) correctly (as this home was my childhood home inherited from my parents,) and with forward thinking and cost effectiveness in mind. I wanted to reconstruct things that would take our Family into the next generation; i.e. built to last, and I needed his expertise on some materials based upon quality vs. cost. The insurance company was paying for the repairs, but I wanted to get some things done myself since the house was in a mini-demo condition anyway. Frank gave me the REAL skinny on," Just because it's more expensive, doesn't mean it's better quality." Integrity goes a LONG way to me, and I know many people. I WILL be telling anyone and everyone who can hear my voice that Mark Scott Construction does business with 21st Century skills and technology, but with integrity and with class. Treat customers the way you want to be treated, and do quality work. Plain and simple. At least this is how Frank Capaldo is representing how his Company does business. Since Frank is a person whom is Customer Centered, a person with integrity, whom is Professional, Knowledgable, and kind and courteous, one would think that these are the standards that the CEO/Owner, Mark Scott demands of his employees. Kudos Mr. Scott for your forward thinking, and to your steadfast commitment to old fashioned good quality and good customer service. Nevertheless, Frank Capaldo is a PM that wanted to make the customer happy, while remaining true to the Company he represents. I hope Mr. Scott reads my review and realizes what a great job he has done with Mr. Capaldo. I hope Mr. Scott hangs on tight to Frank because there will be many companies that will try to steal him away during his career. He is an asset to his organization and to any organization he represents. Thank you Frank for making this catastrophe turn a blessing for me and my family. Love my new house, new because of a total loss due to a fire. Took longer than I expected or was told it would be. Napa County doesn't exactly get the permits out in record time either. I must say a years delay is a bit much but I do love the outcome. Any complaints I may have are very small and not worth mentioning. The group of workers we had were great and easy to work with. They were patient with me, as decisions for materials etc. were difficult for me. I had lived in my home for 65 years, therefore I am old! So I put the responsibility of dealing with insurance and construction to my son, Jay. Nice Mom! Dave, Frank, and Vanjo from the Fairfield office were "on the job" and kept us up to date on the progress once it finally got started. Pleasant, personable guys. One or the other was on the phone or email daily. JP is a jack of all trades when it comes to the finishing touches. Much appreciated! This job probably wasn't the easiest for them either as I had to move out of town to my son's and I turned the project over to him, so much was done long distance, by phone and email. I moved into my home for the last week of finish work and those guys were just great to work with doing touch-ups and fixes that. So far nothing has fallen apart, fallen down, or leaked and walls are still standing! I have a laundry room I didn't have before! Love it! My one suggestion is in regards to paperwork. Many of my decisions would have been different if in the estimates of pricing the labor and item cost were listed separately. There were many items that would have been chosen differently had I known part of what we thought was a item cost included labor. When we realized that labor was included in the items cost was when a toilet value was listed as over $600 , at first it appeared I could pick a toilet for $600! Ridiculous I thought! So Jay called to ask about what appeared to be quite a inflated amount. I know prices have gone way up but wow! Well, found out that $400 of that shown amount was labor! Had I known the labor charges per any item I am sure I would have gone for a few cheaper items to balance out others so as not to go over the original insurance estimate or would have given up one item for another preferred item. I have replaced a toilet myself in years gone by, in the time it took I would be embarrassed to charge someone $400 labor even in these times, yes that is immaterial at this time.. Please separate the labor and item cost so people have a fighting chance to make informed decisions in times of trauma. But all in all my home is beautiful and I love it! We had a small fire on the deck of our home in San Carlos. After the firemen finished 'saving' things, we had broken front windows and a foot or two of the hardwood floors chopped out. Modest structural damage and smoke damage though most of the living areas except distant bedrooms. I hired Mark Scott Construction largely because my insurance agent seemed to have a rapport with them. My mistake! I was verbally told it would take about 3 months to complete this. Seven months later we are finally moving back. The work that was done is fine, but the managers at Mark Scott must be juggling way too many jobs. My first manager generally ignored what I asked him to do, including not ordering a new sliding door for almost 10 weeks after I had specified what I wanted in writing. The house generally stood empty, with the occasional worker coming to do some painting or construction. Even my neighbors began to comment on the slow pace of repairs. With my repeated questions and complaints (always answered by polite 'used car' salesman slick reassurances), still little work was done. My job manager apparently disappeared and passed his responsibilities off to a carpenter who did finally finish things off. Lack of communication is their major shortcoming as well as extreme sluggishness in getting things done. I'm not sure whether it was too small a job for them, or too far from their normal work areas (they are centered in Pleasant Hill). My letters of complaint haven't really been addressed, as they seem to feel that I should be thankful the job is done and looks OK. They are apparently unconcerned that it took so long and their final bill is almost 50% higher than originally estimated. There were a couple of additional things done that were not in the initial estimate, but I feel that some sort of discussion? or maybe a heads up? about these costs would have been nice to hear. (Why did they service my furnace? what duct work did they do? why did they test the electrical systems? ). Note that MS Construction specializes in post fire repairs. This means that they work like a government paid bureaucracy in that cost and efficiency are not as important as making a defensible paper trail for the insurance company. This sort of strange mindset may explain why I found them so slow, unresponsive and uninterested in pleasing me. They seem to view their primary customer to be the insurance company. And beware, if you the homeowner dare to make any changes to the repair work, your costs are pretty high plus tax and 10% markup. I'd not recommend them, but if you must use them, get EVERYTHING ahead of time in writing, especially a timeline for job completion! And then be sure there is some sort of penalty clause when they take far, far longer. read more

We unfortunately had a flood in our house and ended up with a lot of damage to hardwood floors, cabinets, and walls. We were told by the Insurance company that we had to find a contractor to do the repair and replacement work after the insurance companies chosen contractor dried the walls and floor (about 2 weeks). Looking around we wanted to find a contractor that could handle the complete job without having to subcontract out any of the different processes; we found Mark Scott Construction. We meet with them and the insurance company together to go over the complete job which went well because they had done many jobs insured by our carrier. We assumed that they would be able to do everything with the exception of the hardwood floors but found out that day that they have a hardwood/flooring division of the company. That was good news because we had went out for bid on the hardwood portion of the job and all the bids came back stating they could not start for 3-4 months because of their backlog of work. This was a big hardwood job due to the fact the damage was in the kitchen where the hardwood had to be replaced and the whole rest of the house was going to be resurfaced as well to match. Arnie Corral, the Project Manager was awesome, he was very detailed walking us through the process and getting us the answers to all our concerns; he ended up bringing the hardwood team in to meet with us to go over every detail. The whole job came out great, and the hardwood floors are beautiful. The hardwood supervisor on our job was Horatio, he was meticulous and stayed on top of everything; as a matter of fact he inspected every phase of the process himself and was incredibly picky and thorough. All the Mark Scott crews kept our house clean and organized, never leaving anything messy or behind; even our neighbors commented to use how neat and respectful they were to our house and property. We gave them full in and out access to our home since we had to move out to a Hotel for the duration of the job. I have to mention at this point that there painters were awesome, they did an incredible job; we ended up painting a lot of areas. The time frame that was given for the project was meet because they stayed on it from one process to the next; meaning once they started there were no down time with the exception of the time needed for the clear coat on the floor to completely cure. We would highly recommend using Mark Scott; we would use them again if needed and maybe this time for a little remodeling. read more

I had two projects with Mark Scott construction...the larger was due to a water heater blow out flooding three bedrooms and a hallway , once I met with the estimator I asked to add a second project. This smaller project had been hanging since the prior contractor decided part of the way thru that it was 'to small' a project to finish up. Then Covid hit and as you can image after spending three years with flood cut walls and no bathroom floor I was pretty skeptical of contractors. I can't praise this company enough!!! from start to finish every single team member was efficient, friendly, timely and capable. I would love to call them all out by name...but there were so many between the two project and I didn't write the names down. Stupid of me... starting with the entire team that handled the pack out (and pack in)....WOW. Having experienced the damage that can be inflicted by less capable people this was a revelation. Was absolutely terrified of the entire process (well earned terror) but the team that arrived was friendly, fast very organized and respectful of our things. Anything they were concerned about they discussed with me, a few items we elected to move to another room for the duration...everything was packed very carefully and documented so well that its been very straightforward getting things back in place. Huge shout out to such a professional team! The awesome friendly guy that took care of the hardwood floors and made sure to follow up with the PM to confim arrival times and plans.  The tile guy who did such beautiful work on our specialty request. I wish I spoke spanish so I could have expressed just how pleased I was with the care he took on this small project. The painter who was so helpful afterward carefully moving heavy furniture back into place...I'd been dreading trying to get the huge roll top desk moved by myself without scratching my floor. When it came to repairing damage to my home I was really worried, I never dealt with this type of situation before and I was seriously worried I would be over my head. I called 4 contractors for a quote on repairing my bathroom and after looking at all the quotes went with Mark Scott Construction. I was really happy to get a call from Troy Hart who introduced himself as the project manager, told me he would be taking care of my home and made an appointment to meet. We spoke for an hour after inspecting the bathroom and gave me his phone number in case I needed to get a hold of him. He reminded me that if I wanted to make any changes he would be more than happy, so instead of the one piece bathroom (fiberglass walls and tub) he guided me into getting the tile over tub option (tile walls and flooring). He reminded me of the change in pricing repairs and gave me the options that fit my budget (tile watch the cost). I was given a schedule of who and when workers would be at my home (demolition, electrical, framing and such) and it was smooth sailing from there. I was worried that there would be tons of debris when I got home but my home was cleaner than when I left it. All the subcontractors, tradesmen were very kind and respected my carpet by putting on booties over their boots (my GF doesn't allow shoes) Within a month my bathroom was finished and looks OH SO BETTER !!! My Girlfriend is happy again (long baths) and I have a fully working second bathroom. When Troy called me for the final walkthrough he gave me a few tips on keeping the grout lines clean, maintaining the tile and upgrade insurance with my insurance company. This is way overdue. In February 2017 I discovered the interior result of a roof leak at our home in Brentwood when mold started to form on part of the ceiling in a hallway. When I contacted my insurer, they assigned a contractor to contact me. After a week of miscommunication with that company, I asked for another referral and was given a list of potential contractors. Based on some yelp reviews I contacted Mark Scott Construction and found them to be very responsive. Randy Welsh of the remediation side (MS Vital Restoration) was the first to visit and inspect, within a day or two of my initial contact. The damage went beyond what was just visible. The demolition/mold remediation work was completed by a very professional and courteous crew (MS employees, as opposed to subcontractors). Bathroom and hallway cabinets affected by water intrusion and mold were carefully removed, wrapped in plastic and stored as the remediation work was completed. As everything dried out, Dave Bergamini and Keith Schaefer of the construction side followed up. Again, their crews were great. The on site supervisor (Mike) was another big plus. Very responsive, professional and detail oriented. The drywall work, repair and reinstallation of cabinets/bathroom vanity and finally painting actually left that part of the house looking better than new. Finally, as many of you know, most (virtually all) homeowner insurance policies have a mold exclusion, meaning no coverage for removal and remediation, on top of the deductible which applies to the covered work. MSC's estimates and final costs were quite reasonable, in my opinion. These folks know what they're doing. I recommend them without hesitation. read more

Two weeks before we were scheduled to lease our emptied house out, the master bathroom's water pipe sprung a leak. The leak dealt water damage to the floor and wall, and led to fungal growth. AAA suggested Mark Scott Construction, Inc. for the repair work. The results of the repair, to our great satisfaction, more than lived up to that recommendation. Troy W. Hart, the company's project manager, did an excellent job repairing my house. He worked very hard, and was mindful of the critical timing we faced. He kept in contact with me prior to each phase of construction, so that we had plenty of time to discuss the work and decide what kind of materials would be needed and order them. He also worked with us to help try to reduce the total cost of the repair. Mr. Hart demonstrated responsibility in his actions. For example, when the tile and wood floor we had decided to order suddenly went out of the stock, he alerted me to the issue immediately, while he also went to search for possible replacements. He was similarly prompt when the same problem occurred with replacing the vanity cabinet, too. In order to respond to tenders, we sometimes had to call him multiple times a day to inquire about progress on the house repairs. Mr. Hart was always very considerate and displayed great patience in explaining to us what was happening with the construction. He also helped us check on the pace of the process by reaching out to the construction team. We feel very lucky to have had Mark Scott Construction, Inc. and its manager Troy Hart perform our house repair work, which is why we not only affirmed the AAA recommendation, but we're also posting our experience to Yelp. read more

I had a really positive experience with Mark Scott Construction after my landlord who lives above me flooded my apartment. Even though I'm just the tenant and not the one who arranged the services, they treated me with so much care, respect, and professionalism throughout the entire process. They moved quickly to perform water leak mitigation and ensure the space was dried properly to prevent mold. The team was kind, courteous, and incredibly thoughtful. especially considering I have a 2-month-old baby, a dog, and a cat with me in my apartment. . That alone meant a lot during what could have been a very stressful situation. I worked directly with Alex, the project manager, and he was truly excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable, kept me updated every step of the way, and was especially kind and gentle around my animals and my infant daughter. He took the time to explain what was happening and made sure my apartment was treated with respect at all times. He was someone I genuinely trusted in my home. Martha in the office was also wonderful to work with. Communication was clear and consistent, and she always gave me a heads-up before anyone entered my apartment, which I really appreciated. While part of the ceiling and wall remains open as my landlord waits for insurance approval for the build-back, the area is clean, tidy, dry, and mold-free, which gives me peace of mind in the meantime. Overall, Mark Scott Construction went above and beyond, and I'm very grateful for how they handled everything. I have had the pleasure of working with a terrific team from Mark Scott Construction. Not once but twice. The first time was in 2015 when I had a small flood in my condo. The work they did in my condo was absolutely beautiful. The flooring that I chose from their floor department was a deep rich brown wood. Then I decided to purchase a new home. I knew there was a good amount of remodeling that would need to be done due to the age and lack of upkeep in past years. Walls to be torn down, bathrooms to be remodeled and new flooring to be laid just to mention some of the major items that needed updated. My first thought was to call MS Construction. They came to my rescue with the same team members that worked on my first home. Arnie, Adam and Pat were my heroes. They came to my house and we walked from room to room so they could hear what I wanted to have done. Notes were taken in great lengths and then I received the first bid. I made some changes and the new bid was sent to me in a timely fashion. They listened to my needs and wants as I listened to their ideas and concerns. If I had any questions I could reach out to any one of them by email or text and I would get a response within hours. There was not a day that I had to come home from work to a vast mess. All of the employees took great care to clean up at the end of their work -day. To look at my home now, an individual would never know what decaying shape it was in. With good cause and reason you will never see me giving Mark Scott anything but a minus rating,if you were to see my estimate there's a very good chance you would feel the same way ! Reply to Mark Scott comment! Mark Scott seems to have forgotten it was his subcontractor's who did not have proper training in taking down the Ham Radio Towers that was 60' above the roof and were very lucky to not dropping the tower on a neighbors house or getting someone hurt.,after doing damage to the sidewalk's ,driveway and lawn ,and where I had another contractor take down the tower with out any equipment as the Manuel showed. Why wasn't somebody from Mark Scott there from the start or there at all to make sure things were done in a proper and safe manner. Then it took Mark Scott 4-6 months to pay for the damage their subs had done.. . I even gave them the original Rohm Installation paperwork to them, which they ignore.. note: error of original review .date 2011 Mark Scott was hired and paid by my insurance company ,(I would never have paid for that estimate myself for good reason-The Insurance company asked for the repair estimate be written in a certain way-nothing else needs to be said) you decide there first estimate was $214,555.89 the last estimate that is the most complete from another contractor was $626,459.15 .When Mark Scott wrote his 2nd estimate the walls were down to bare wood and everything could be seen ,that estimate was for $271,555.94 Mark Scott tell me is it your standard practice to wait from 12/1/2009 to 10/13/2011 to address 150 complaint issues ,I have no problem at all sending anyone the pdf's read more

Mark Scott Construction is my new favorite construction company! A little rain in between old and new roofs can cause big problems. That happened in early September 2021. After a couple of months dealing with the water damage, furniture movers and abatement company who removed our ceilings, Mark Scott's estimator (Chad) came over for the second time to complete his initial estimate and get it approved by the insurance company. He had been here before and kept in contact with me as the other work got done. He was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful in explaining the process and honest about the scheduling expectations. After the ceilings came down (by others) which was a nightmare to manage remotely (we had to move out of course), the estimator handed the project over to Cristino their Project Manager. He came over and did a thorough inspection, double checking all the details in the estimate. They got started about 2 weeks later, after getting the permit. I was very impressed with their crews. They staffed the job well and things moved along smoothly. They installed new insulation and sheetrock in just about every room of our house. They did an excellent job with the taping, and texture. It looks better now than the original. We were really impressed with the quality of the seams, and how they matched the old texture pattern. Their painters were fast, neat, and did an excellent job too (walls and ceilings) Everyone left the housel clean and orderly every day. I will be calling them first whenever I need remodeling done in our house. read more

We retained Mark Scott Construction (MSC) to repair damage caused by dishwasher. This was an insurance claim and the loss adjuster brough MSC in for the moisture drying out. I have no experience of construction or working with insurance and was concerned about the process. We were assigned Vince as our project manager and thank God for him! As the project went down the rabbit hole of mold inspection / asbestos inspection, asbestos abatement. Vince was there to guide us. As the project was progressing, we found the fridge had also leaked, requiring a floor replacement. Vince knew our loss adjuster and was an advocate for us with the insurance company. The biggest problem with insurance claims is talking the insurance company language and MSC does that very well, keeping our out of pocket at a minimum. The MSC team were very professional and polite. As with any project we didn't always like the way things were done, and Vince had them put right. There were occasions when Vince was not happy with the way something was done and sent his crew back to put it right. I am in agreement with other reviewers that some appointments were missed, or contractors came unexpectedly. However, we were fortunate to have someone home and were flexible with the schedule, so this did not cause us any concerns. Overall, we are very happy with the service delivered by MSC. Would I have set the bar higher if I was paying for it myself, probably. Did MSC make sure we were fully compensated by insurance, absolutely. Would I use MSC again? Yes (a long as Vince is on the team). read more

I had a water pipe in our cement slab foundation break and it saturated my hallway, bedroom and bathroom and part of my dining room. I called my insurance and they contacted Mark Scott Construction. Matt promptly showed up at my house to assess the damage. Needless to say, I was very anxious and upset about my predicament. He was very calm and reassuring, but let me know that it wouldn't be a two day job. They had to pull up the carpeting and dry everything out before they could do the repairs. The project manager, Vince, showed up with his team and got right to work. All of the workers were courteous and took the time to answer any questions I had. Every day when they would leave they would clean up after themselves and explain what the next step in the restoration would be. The first thing they did was to fix the water pipe so we could have water and move back into our home. Every phase of the project was inspected by Vince and he would ask if we were satisfied. They put everything back together and made sure it was better than before. I cannot say enough about the workmen that came into my home. It is not easy having strangers in your house and having to trust them. They were all very professional and treated me with respect even when I was hovering over them asking questions. It is not easy having your house torn up, but if I ever have another situation where I need repairs, I would not hesitate to tell my insurance company that I want Mark Scott to do the repairs. read more

When a postal worker crashed into my garage in February 2013 in a mail truck, MS Construction came out within hours to board up my garage, which was completely exposed to the street. My insurance company contracted them to fix the garage. I went through my homeowners insurance instead of USPS because it was going to take 3-6 weeks for them to come out to assess the damages. I could not wait that long. My garage was practically caving in from that steel mail truck! MS Construction put Ralph H. in charge of my garage. From start to finish the entire process was incredibly smooth and hassle free. Ralph made sure that everything was taken care of and even came to my work for me to sign paperwork because of how busy my schedule was. My father had had a devastating stroke just 4 weeks earlier and this was the last thing I needed on my plate. Not only did Ralph and everyone at Mark Scott make sure my experience was fantastic, I also asked them to match the portion of the fence they were replacing to that of the fence on the other side of the garage, which my brother had done for me the year prior. I had to pay out-of-pocket for this but was gladly willing once I saw how beautiful the work came out. They truly made sure everything was done not only with the utmost professionalism but also with such a personal touch. Huge thanks to Ralph especially, but everyone at MS Construction. Our insurance recommended Mark Scott Construction after a toilet backup flooded about a third of our second floor, causing water damage through the ceiling and into our kitchen and living room. Initially, I had serious doubts. The restoration team we worked with in the early phase of the project was not very responsive, communication felt disjointed, and it was difficult to get clear answers or updates. That part of the process was frustrating and left us feeling uneasy. However, once our project moved into the reconstruction phase and we were assigned Vince as our project manager, everything turned around. Vince was absolutely incredible--professional, communicative, and genuinely invested in making sure we felt supported every step of the way. He always took time to explain what was happening, answered every question (big or small), and helped restore our confidence in the process. We're so thankful for his leadership and attention to detail. Honestly, we're a little sad we won't get to talk to him anymore now that the project is done! We also want to give a big shout-out to the rest of the Mark Scott team who helped bring our home back to life: Dave, Horatio, Chad, Caesar, Manuel, Yago, and Mitch. After we found our upstairs master bedroom toilet had been overflowing for 3.5 hours on Christmas night 2017, and we waded through all the water damage, both upstairs and downstairs, we contacted our home owners insurance company. They suggested Mark Scott Construction to complete our repairs. What a great company! I had an estimator come out and write up everything he found that needed to be done. He submitted photographs detailing the damage. I was then turned over to Don Meadow, Construction Manager, along with two other gentlemen, Rubin the working supervisor and Jesus talented worker. The work was done with my protection in mind, everything was always tarped or covered so nothing more of ours was damaged. Since I was dealing with Home Depot for carpet and tile (which I would not recommend) there were big gaps in time between their subcontractor Romanoff on installing everything. Every day that MS Construction had to wait on Romanoff to finish their portion, I was contacted by Rubin to make sure things were going alright! They did not have any control over another company, but I needed anything during that time - Rubin was willing to take care of it. I was always treated with respect by MS Construction. In January 2018 we began seeing stains in the hardwood floor in our music room due to gradual leaks from a fire extinguishing sprinkler pipe. Little did we know what was ahead of us. The Vital Restoration team came from Mark Scott Construction, moved our grand piano out of the room, and began amelioration work. They ended up tearing out the whole floor. Then came reconstruction. The floor had to be totally replaced, including the underfloor. Exterior siding boards had to be replaced. The interior drywall had to be torn out and replaced along two sides of the room. Then everything had to be painted and finished off. It was a tremendous set of tasks, and each one was carried off smoothly, the only problem being insurance company delays when work expansion had to be applied for. The Mark Scott staff took care of all the applications to the insurance company for expanded work, and they got good results. We are so thankful to the wonderful workers who showed up on time, worked steadily for long periods, and finished off the job right. The Estimator Ramon Manzo and particularly the fabulous coordination work of the manager toward the end of the project, Don Draper were so helpful. Thanks to Salvador, Wayne, Mike, Noe and all the others who brought everything to a good conclusion. Emilio was a miracle worker who could solve any problem. A fire originated in our garage when we were out of state and could not get back home for several days. MS was recommended by our insurance company to board up our home and tarp the roof. They did so the same day, and Chelsea called when the boarding up was complete--photos and reports from my neighbors confirmed that the job was done well. We asked MS to give us an estimate for the reconstruction. Chris was our estimator and did a great job of explaining the process and what we could expect. He was honest and said we had our choice of construction companies--we weren't bound to MS (this was exactly what our insurance company had told us, too). Chris' integrity and Chelsea's reassuring communication early on convinced us to go with MS. Don was our construction manager, and he was awesome about returning calls and emails the same day. Ruben was the supervisor of the job. I had the most contact with Ruben because I would go to the house early in the morning to water the grass during the hot summer months, since there was no auto sprinklers at this point. Ruben would be there as early as 6:45am. He did a great job of keeping me informed and answering any questions I had. He has such a can-do attitude and went above and beyond to make sure our home was taken care of. The fire damage was stressful, but MS made it as easy as possible for us as homeowners.
