This Price Chopper now named Market 32 is a fine supermarket. The selection is pretty big, and the bakery is solid. Also, the hot foods like the fried chicken is fine for supermarket food. The prices are about the same as everyone else, but this location does offer a lot of sales. One perk of this supermarket is the stuffed baked potatoes in the deli section. The potatoes are cheesy, flavorful, and filling. The main issue with this supermarket is definitely the service. The employees here are often rude and act like they don't want to be here. In the final analysis, this a solid supermarket with a big selection of food, but the employees are often rude.

What I had to trim off of 4 thighs

their meat selection, despite supposedly upgrading to premium quality, is horrible. They now have the highest priced yet lowest quality beef I've ever experienced in a grocery store. I recently purchased on sale bone-in and skin-on chicken thighs. after cutting away all the excess skin and fat , an entire cereal bowl"s worth from just 4 thighs, I realized that PC is a complete ripoff with poor quality meats. I've included a photo of the bowl of crap I had to trim off as well as the thighs, still fully covered with skin even after excessive trimming. if you can't afford meat from a butcher or farmers market I highly suggest Hannaford for higher quality meat at reasonable prices.

Of course, by early November the outdoor market has moved indoors and we have little idea what the waterfront outdoor market looks like, but I've gotta say I'm impressed. I'm impressed with the organisation of the so many vendors in different corners of the two-floor space, and the variety and quality of the goodies available. Pretty much all cooked foods were upstairs with tables and chairs dotted amongst vendors, and the offerings ranged from West African and Caribbean American to dumplings, crepes, and empanadas. There was a "makers" room with clothing, jewlery, pottery, and other knickknacks, and produce, Belgian sugar waffles, and dried flower arrangements lined the middle section of the ground level. Probably the biggest room was in the back corner across from the 'booze' section, and this is where we see the dairy, dips, honey, peanut butter, gourds, pickles, and lots of baked goods, some of which we couldn't resist. We ended up with a small haul from Golden Blend Bakehouse, Our Daily Bread, and The Placid Baker. I'm be sure to follow up on how the baked goods go but the farmers market was impressive and I'm glad this has become a real landmark in the Capital Region. Parking is available among the street (mostly metred) and near the waterfront. We'll be back.
