We love Market Basket, spending over $10,000 a year for ever. Unfortunately, we have concluded that you and I can't continue to buy bagged peppers, potatoes, onions, etc. They are either over ripe, or even on the verge of becoming moldy or rotten. Check out this potato bought last week Just a continuation of what's been going on for years. Just buy individual produce that you select for freshness. Very sorry to feel the need to do this. I went into Demoulas Market Basket expecting the MB that I have always known and loved and what found was not even a shadow of it's former self therefore if MB is NOT MB anymore why would I come here with so many other stores in the area? Among my list of beefs with the store, Poor communications and insulting staff is the chief beef. Never saw anything like it. Staff clearly does not care about the store, nor the customers. Even if you can find someone to help you there are far too many communication barriers for any average person to have time for. It seems like it was not that long ago that everyone in store was friendly, happy to be helpful, and took pride in the store and products. Not so now. Place has a sh%$#t vibe to it. Meats, Seafood, Poultry, Pork seems to have had a quality shift. Prices are not so great. The company ought to get on the stick and do some damage control before their reputation is wrecked. Maybe I'll try again at some point but.............................meh I really don't need the hassle. read more

Of all the Market Basket stores This one is my favorite. Little bigger than most, slightly less crowded. Also, the parking lot is big and the traffic flow is more orderly than others. As for the store, really nice selection of prepared foods. Excellent pizza, one slice is the size of a 1/4 pizza. Great wings hot and ready to go, order a sub or a steak sub. Salads are made fresh every morning and the breakfast sandwiches are excellent. The store is always well stocked, clean and well organized. read more

I had 2 full carriages on Sunday morning, I'm at the cashier (Alicia) sweet girl. Anyway 2 full carts people in line and I not only forgot my wallet, but I forgot the roast that my girlfriend was planning on making for dinner that evening! She would've kick my a**!!! Well the manager up front (Jose) heard what was going on and offered to go get the roast while I went and got my wallet. So I wanted to thank Jose and Alicia for their understanding and helpfulness. I came here from Brockton store as there store never had the ingredients for the subs...so I rode here and was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of the kitchen staff..the woman told me that they keep of the chicken for the chicken bomb sub...and if they run out they just shred the chicken by hand....even tho I live in Brockton,I'll be riding to bridgewater..I just saw what a difference in stores appearance....all their shelves were fully stock...I admit I thought all market baskets were the same,obviously I was wrong.....the BROCKTON STORE GETS ZERO STARS......BRIDGEWATER 5 STARS...you guys should teach the other store how to act!!!! read more

good customer service means conversing with the people that you are ringing up, not ignoring them while you talk to a co worker in a language the customer doesn't understand. I've wanted to like this place, but I'm done here-never going back. For starters they stopped carrying the milk that I've been buying here for 10 years but started carrying dozens of new brands with redundant flavors... and lied about it! Even today I thought I could run in and and run out for 2 items at 7:30 am--wrong again. For whatever reason the store was filled with seniors stocking up for the impending apocalypse. Since they didn't open up an express lane and since there is no area to check your own stuff out, I waited for 20 minutes to check out 2 pints of blueberries. Bye. read more

Every week my family and I come here it gets worse and worse. Service at the sub station is atrocious. Staff are rude, arrogant, and lack basic understanding of food service. This is specifically true for Steven, the gentleman that is there a majority of the week. I have personally seen him disrespect multiple customers while waiting for our food. The East Bridgewater store. Have been there many times. Love there sub sandwiches, when they are made correctly ! Last three times, they made mistakes. Yesterday, I ordered the weekly special, Italian. After waiting 15 minutes, with no eye contact or at least "I'll be with you in just a few minutes", she finally took my order. Large Italian, no olives(last time it had olives) with everything else including hots. But please no olives. Said it twice. And she wrote it down !!! I should have stayed and watched her make it, but I wanted to continue shopping. Got home, covered with olives and no lettuce, no tomato, no onion and no mayo which I had requested. Wow I decided to try this MB due to scary experience at Brockton location. Went 3days ago. Attempts at 1 way aisles were difficult. The store was overcrowded. I grabbed a carriage from outside and was met with empty wipes container. I notified the manager who initially denied that container was empty and then opined I didn't need any as the carriages are being wiped after use(not mine)! Some cashiers wore masks but most did not. Same wore gloves. I was glad to see my cashier wiping the card touch pad however short lived as I observed the ready to go employee wearing no PPE while she was serving. read more

On Saturday 3/2523 I visited the Market Basket in West Bridgewater. I had proceeded to the checkout aisle with my things and a nice young man was ringing up my groceries. In the mist of this happening, there was also a young African American girl who was bagging my groceries. She was interrupted by another employee who came to her and said that the manager wants you to go and fix your hair. The young lady walked away with tears in her eyes, and I asked the employee who was replacing her "What is wrong with her hair "!!!! The young lady said I don't know I'm just doing what I'm told and I asked by whom she said the manager I asked where is the manager? She said right behind me. She was so afraid to turn around to face the manager so I walked over to the two managers after the young lady had finished bagging my groceries. I asked both managers what was wrong with her hair that she needed to be pulled from bagging. The manager replied nothing was wrong with her hair. She just needed to pull it out of her face. I said she's not cooking or preparing food. She's bagging groceries. I realize what the real issue was and I was irate. The two managers looked at me and was surprised that someone actually said something. Market Basket is a great resource in the community, but they are not the only rodeo in town and I will be shopping elsewhere. I know for a fact how market basket employees are treated. Some of the managers need to do customer service training. Very Rude!!!! Disappointed with their response. read more

For years I heard stories about the elusive, inexpensive Market Basket. Found only in faraway lands and urban hellholes. Welcome to the 'burbs, Market Basket! I've been going since they opened late in 2012, and have got to say I'm impressed. Their prices seem to be 20%-30% cheaper than other area supermarkets. An excellent selection of brands, great meats and very good produce. I've only had a few items from the in-store bakery (carrot cake cookies = yum) but what I've had has been good. They have a large prepared food section that I've yet to try. Take a number at the deli when you walk in, do your shopping, and they still might not have gotten to you. The store is huge, as is the parking lot. It can be tough to get in/out on the now overwhelmed route 106. I'm usually shopping during peak hours so it's expected that the place is busy as hell. At least they have most of the registers open accordingly. OK, here's the part of my review where I say 'Oh shit, I've become my Father!' I understand that the closest most kids today get to vegetables is their large fries and accompanying ketchup, but perhaps some additional veggie training might be in order? I've never once made it out of this store without the cashier having rung up produce incorrectly. That's parsley (.99/bunch) not cilantro (1.59/bunch). Those are yams (.59/lb) not loose russet potatoes (.99/lb). This past weekend I made it a point to watch and corrected her when she rang up my yellow onions (.69/lb) as vidalia onions (.89/lb). A guy came over and deleted it and gave her a sku number, that when I checked my receipt in the parking lot was for...jumbo yellow onions (.89/lb). What a great Market Basket. I use the MB In Ashland as I live in Natick. But I shopped this store after a visit with a friend nearby. This one is much larger, very organized and clean. What a pleasure having so much room in the aisles, so much wider. The prepared food section is bigger and offers more food choices. As with all MB's, the prices can't be beat. I loved it. Ashland is also clean but it is an older store and much more crowded. Lucky West Bridgewater shoppers. read more

The place is huge and has a huge variety. i went during my break so it wasn't as crowded as it normally would be. It was still crowded, but not as it would be on the weekend. Their selection is the same as all Market Baskets - great and the price is great. The only bad experience I had is that they rung in an item incorrectly and I didn't notice until after I have left the area. I bought 3 different spices, they were all different prices. One of them was rung up twice, of course the most expensive one. Just something small, but watch them when they ring up your stuff to make sure you aren't getting charged incorrectly. read more

I have gone to market basket a couple times and I am always impressed with the food they offer and the prices they are listed for. I usually only stop in when I am in the area because it is about forty minutes from where I live. We stopped in today to get some items for Easter and they were having amazing sales on the Easter bakery items. Within fifteen minutes of entry into the store they put the Easter items At half price and we went early in the day. We were able to get an Easter cake and cookies for a total price of five dollars. They have a large precooked section that serves everything from chicken to pizza. My only wish is that store was closer to my house. I would defiantly recommend stopping in to this frocery read more

I detest crowds -that's why I don't shop on the day after Thanksgiving. Market Basket has good prices and the store is shiney and new,but I'd prefer not to put the competition out of business -even if they deserve it. But let's be real serious. Threatened by front manager Jose, he told me " I'm going to shove your phone down your throat!!!" Never have I been physically or verbally threatened by a store employee anywhere. I used to work at a grocery store for 8 years and know that you never threaten a customer! The store Director Gary and Pineda we're standing right there and denied they ever heard anything. It's a shame I used to love shopping here, but to be threatened by a employee I don't feel safe anymore shopping here. What ever happened to customer service?!?! This place is great. The prices on everything are much lower than what you pay anywhere else in the area, from groceries to prepared foods. If they had a drive-thru they'd put the Dunks across the street out of business. The coffee, egg sandwiches and donuts taste better and are 30% cheaper than Dunks. The sushi is the best I've had outside 128, and it is insanely cheap. My one criticism is that the section of 106 they are on was not designed to handle the traffic that area is getting now that Market Basket has opened. I love this store! The prices are awesome compared to any other supermarket. They always have a ton of cooked rotisserie chickens (my fave) and i couldn't ask for more from a grocery store. I wish more supermarkets had restaurant like areas like this! The salads are hands down the best deal to be had, but all of the other things they have or also fantastic. I wish they'd put one in in the South Side in Brockton. This one gets way overcrowded and there's really a demand for another grocery store in Brockton. Maybe where Shaws was on South Main St.? Great prices. I save a bundle by going there rather than the other three semi- local stores. The stock is depleted by Saturday night- Sunday morning though, since it's so overcrowded. I love this Market Basket simply because it isn't crowded. The prices speak for themselves. I drive 6 miles to go and it's still worth it. The prepared food area is why I write this review. If you want a huge pizza with a topping for about $10 you should go here instead of a pizza shop. It taste great, very fresh, 19" and they make it while you shop. Many other choices also. Market Basket is really one of the few grocers in the region that "gets it right" and it's evident buy the business they do. I drive 20 minutes (past other markets) to get groceries there. I'm always impressed by how many workers are everywhere. Busily cleaning, stocking shelves and keeping the store looking attractive and keeping every cashier lane open. What is also nice is the cross section of workers, middle aged, retirees, not a bunch of uninterested kids looking at their smart phone. The prepared and food to order section is wonderful with a huge selection, and a pleasant area to eat it in.This may seem small but all the food workers wear hair nets to be sanitary. That tells me the DeMoula family doesn't overlook anything. I also love that they actually have local produce, and their prices are the best. I can't really think of a drawback. Market Basket has become the new model and it's easy to see why they're becoming anchor stores in other plazas, ie Fall River, Brockton. Keep up the good work, it's a pleasure to shop there. read more

Unbelievable just had to argue with a girl that was telling me the thing I was buying was not on sale . the item was in with the weekly sale stuff and there was a sign saying it was on sale . She said no thats from last week. So she followed me down to the area and I showed her . So she just gave it to me for the sale price and not for free like they are supposed do. Very mad at the place. If I want to argue with someone I would go to work not grocery shopping. I may not be back just because of how I was treated. If you don't take a sign down saying a thing is in sale then I should get it for the sale price and not argued with. read more

Keep up the great work! It shows this store and company pay attention to detail. I went after the Blizzard, I could go to the Brockton Store but pick this one instead. From the minute you enter the property it is VERY well cared for. The lot was plowed nicely, the walks were all shoveled clean and salted. There are not shopping carts and trash all over the lot like all the other Supermarkets. Once inside there are plenty of carts or baskets there for you, the floors are clean, the store very well lit and fully stocked. Also if you see them stocking shelves it is a few at a time and they do it quickly, unlike others that dump pallets everywhere and you are navigating around them as you try to shop. The prices are good, the selections good. The quality of the meats and produce Excellent and the areas are nice and clean too. To the guy trying to return Poland Spring bottle???? NO ONE takes them back there is no deposit on them. One of the things I do like the most here though is there are always enough checkouts open that it is QUICK and EASY. and the cashires know all the items, unlike other stores where they look at your produce, pick their nose and ask "what's this"? Your total is also displayed big as day so you can see each and every item as it rings in and if it rings incorrectly you can fix it right away, not like the others where you get the crappy little paper tape covered with advertisements and other crap and need ot look at with a magnifying glass, and at others if there is a problem then they need to call for a supervisor to key in or send you to the customer service desk. This store certainly has customer service in mind. read more

My first visit to this store went fairly well except it was very crowded and they were doing some stocking and blocking aisles - posing additional challenges on a busy Saturday. I found everything on my list with relative ease in spite of the crowds and challenges negotiating the aisles. The store was clean with a vey good variety of products. The traffic terrible on Rt106 now that the Market Basket is open! :( I knew the impact of the store was going to be better than having the store there. Before I could drive right to the highway. Now, traffic is backed up about 3/4 mile and especially bad on weekends with the light and small left lane turn. The parking lot is always packed and huge crowds. read more
