Charcuterie, board, Truffle Fries, Brussel Sprouts, and a Pulled Pork Sandwich with potato salad

Grabbed lunch with a friend for a quick catch up yesterday. We ordered apps to share and she got a pulled pork sandwich as well. All of the food hit the spot! Service was great too. Great little spot for any meal.

Jagerschnitzel on the left and fish n chips on the right (I asked for it cooked a little extra crispy)

I would give this place 100 stars if I could! My boyfriend and I had dinner here last night for the first time after a friend's recommendation. The place was busy (as to be expected on a Saturday night) but they were well staffed. Service was excellent! I wish I could remember our server's name. She was very attentive and had no problem keeping up with my boyfriend drinking gallons of tea. I tried it, I can see why, they have really good sweet tea!! I had the BEST Hefeweizen and we started with an order of calamari to share which was cooked perfectly. It was served with some sort of mayo-based sauce which I don't like, so I asked the server if they had cocktail sauce. "We don't.....but I think I can make you some!" She came back a few minutes later with a cup of cocktail sauce they whipped up for me!!! For entrees, he ordered the filet. It was a beautiful cut of steak, tender, and cooked perfectly. I was craving fish n chips but my friend had demanded I try the jagerschnitzel....so I ordered both lol. I'm going to have leftovers for days and I'm not mad about it!! Both meals were incredible and very generous portions. Fish was perfectly crispy and the gravy on the jagerschnitzel....mmm....I don't even have words! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming with a variety of seating options. I tend to have anxiety in crowded spaces but I was perfectly comfortable here. Overall we had an incredible experience and can't wait to go back! This was one of the best meals we've had in a long time!

This wasn't my first time here but I think it's my first review. Everything was fabulous as it was before, which of course is why we came back! Cocktails were divine, service was fabulous, hostess was incredibly sweet and seated us promptly, and by far the best fish and chips I've had in America. Truly. We spend a lot of time in England and it's hard to find good fish and chips here although even not so great fish and chips are still pretty tasty! Overall just a good vibe in a relaxed and casual setting! See you in a few months!

Buffalo Chicken sandwich. Ask for extra napkins or eat it with a fork and knife.

This is a great place to get a bite especially when it's nice enough to sit outside. There's scores of picnic tables. Good hangout after a hike or a visit to nearby vineyard.

Ranchero enchiladas are fabulous! Husband got the hangover (skillet)... and loved it definitely a do over!

Everything was great ! We have been twice and will definitely be back! Mikayla was a great server.

First time after hearing good stuff, they were right. Very friendly wait staff, Noelle was great, made solid suggestions. Had a Tequila drink, tall and cold. Okay, had two. Food was good, not special. I had the tacos with fries, pretty good. Again, the service makes it special.

The More Better Burger (quite good)

We've come here dozens of times - usually for weekend brunch. Always good, timely service and decent beer selection. The location is great if you're heading out to hit some wineries in Western Loudoun.

The lacquered salmon wasn't at its best this time, but it was still pretty good. Their assortment of desserts is always well presented, and everything on the buffet stays fresh. The staff constantly comes back to refill the trays with eggs, bacon, fruit, cheeses, and plenty of other choices. I heard the Belgian waffles were a little heavier and not as light as usual, but I typically avoid waffles at an all-you-can-eat brunch anyway--they're mostly filler. If waffles trip your trigger, though, they're there. It's a little pricey, but if you stick with the beef and fish and have a couple of good platefuls, you'll leave full and feeling like you got your money's worth. Magnolias continues to be a dependable choice for a family brunch.

Accordingly, I recommended it to my parents for a special meal, and round two was not as good. We were sat upstairs, which detracted from the ambience substantially, but worse was our server. From the moment she greeted us, we could tell she did not want to be there. She brought red wine in white wine glasses and a bread basket with only three pieces to a table of four people. I pointed this out and requested more bread, so that each of us could have a piece, but she never returned with more as she agreed to do. (Eventually a different server brought us more bread upon second request.) After food was served, I don't recall seeing her to check in until we'd finished eating. Absolutely unacceptable when you're waiting on a table that's putting down more than $250 before tip. Food wise, pretty happy. Fried green tomato was good; pincaha was salty but well cooked (chimichurri overpowering); duck was nice; and pastas were rich. I'd be back but specify that I want a table on the main floor, not upstairs between the bathroom and kitchen. I'd also be on the lookout for the redheaded waitress with the chip on her shoulder.

There is plenty of parking and many areas to sit down. Tip - call ahead and reserve an outdoor seat in the shade as it can get very hot up there and many of the tables do not have umbrellas. If a manager is a reason this - I think it would be very useful to add additional umbrellas to the lower decks so that patrons will stay longer. It just gets way too hot sitting by an uncovered table. It's "self service" and you order at the counter and pick up your food. They have many options for beers. I think the only non- alcoholic option was cokes. We ordered the cheese pizza which was fine. I mean you don't really come here for the food- it's more about the view , vibe and drinks. Although they did have a great food truck the day we went that sold smash burgers and fries which was really nice. The bathrooms are clean - although one of the soap dispensers and taps were not working. Also- they ran out of paper towels to dry your hands. I think it was just very busy when we went. I did appreciate that they had a stool in the bathrooms for younger kids - which is very helpful. I did see many patrons brought their dogs which is quite nice that you can enjoy some drinks and food with your furry friends. My kids just loved it there. They could run around on the grass and roll down the hills. Like I said - it's just such a great vibe. They also had a band playing which was really nice. I also noticed a little craft market / vintage market next to the restaurant as well. If you are in the area and want some grown up drinks and a vibe - go check this place out.

I haven't been there for dinner in about a year or so, but used to be a frequent customer in years past. The food now is sub-par and has little to no flavor. The expansive menu we once knew has been trimmed down into banal meals every other place in town serves. The portions are weak and to be quite honest, the quality of the dining experience as a whole was underwhelming. Old favorites like the fried green tomatoes just don't hit the same anymore. The crab cakes I added to my caesar salad tasted like they had been fried in oil that had been sitting for days. The salad itself wasn't anything to write home about either, I received a salad on the same level as something you'd get from Apple Bees. Parmesan Truffle French fries were soggy and sodden with that same acrid oil I mentioned before. The list goes on, but I'm going to stop here. We did end up asking if there was a manager around to voice our concerns to, but the waitress said she didn't know where the manage was. Interesting. We paid and left, never to return. I'm not trying to be harsh here, I am actually very disappointed to see this happen to a place that once was a local gem, maybe it's a sign of the times. It's alarming how restaurants are operating on this level and still getting customers. But you don't have to take my word for it, go find out yourself! **Just before I posted this I saw they have a new owner and chef...
