My experience with this company has mostly been bad. I have been a tenant in one of the rental units managed by them long enough that I have seen managers come and go. To get someone on the phone is nearly impossible, and all correspondence via email is selectively answered. Getting repairs done is always a multo step process, and the pool has been empty for many months. I would never rent at a property managed by them again. read more

***BEWARE**** My mother law and I was really looking for a place for her to rent. Came across a nice rental, submitted application and fees, but never heard anything from an actual person on status of application. We called several times a day left several messages and emails but never received anything. No consideration to at least tell us if there were issues with the application. About three weeks later, received an email stating she was missing something on application. This company will drag its feet, but very willing to take fees right away. read more

This company took over managing Silverwood Apartments. They did inherit a lot of work here. Our pool hasn't worked in over 12 years (it looks like a green algae lagoon). The pool area hasn't been maintained in the same. Our parking lot has huge pot holes that the last management company said they would fix "after the first of the year"... Ive been here 4 1/2 years and that still hasn't been done. Our mailboxes keep getting broken into. We have requested PRIVATE PROPERTY & NO TRESSPASSING signs from our last manager to no avail. Among other issues that equal to A TON, I have a problem with this new company... They gave a 30 day notice of increase in rent (which more than doubled my present rent). After speaking with a real estate agent, this is illegal. We are to be given a 60 day notice of rental increase, not 30 days. Also, We were all told to download the new lease agreement and sign it and send it back. THE LEASE AGREEMENT THEY SENT TO US IS BLANK! I had to inquire about this as I have never signed a blank agreement of any kind before, nor have I ever been asked to sign a blank agreement. I was advised not to sign it, but in fact, make a complaint to the Arizona Department of Real Estate. Its one thing to come in and raise the rent sky high (legally) and make demands (their call they can do that too), but to ask us to sign blank lease agreement is unheard of!! Jenny; wrote my review; she told me to remove it and proceeded to bad mouth me and anyone who has left a review on her page(: -- Scam artists. Rude, ignorant, disgusting people. Husband and I applied in April 2020, at first they take your money and run you in circles, don't tell you what your missing or any other information unless if you stay on top of them and ask about it. If you don't- good luck you're out $200! The house was absolutely disgusting from the previous people. All they did was replace the carpet and half ass paint job over some ugly ass blue. The blue was showing and extremely patchy. They do not clean ANYTHING! First week we moved in, they tried to charge us a $50 HOA fee from the previous people in feb-its almost JUNE? That's almost 5 months difference? since I refused to pay for it they cancelled our automatic renewal so that we would end up being late on our rent and they could charge us an extra $75 and make their money + back. They don't double check their leases so they'll be changing that when you find an issue that bothers them. They changed things in our lease 2 times? Put in our 60d in February. You pay for what they didn't fix. You need a 48hr notice to show up at the house. I went to go for a walk - a sign in front of our house. That's not a problem but they didn't let us know - people started to just show up at my house with almost 3mo randomly. I get it you're trying to rerent immediately but you put it for available immediately after our 60d notice in Feb- But on Mar22 never sent us the HoA letter that they received on Feb 23, no clue we even had one since they have the HoA send it to them instead of the people who actually rent or even deal with the house. After we seen that we had 21 days to fix the issue these absolute useless fucks at Market Edge sent it to us 30 days later and then proceed to try and charge us $100 for their fuck up and then also tried to remove us from the home saying we had "10 day to get it fixed or vacate". Tried emailing repeatedly. Jenny ignored me, forcing me to pay the unfortunate $100 We had less than 1 month left. Because she was scamming us out of $ and I told her about her being wrong she charged us an extra $25 and said "I charged you guys because I can"??(Checked the agreement, she was trying to get an extra $40 off the "10 day thing") Why are you trying to kick us out for you not giving us the violation and then threatening us to remove us. Then when I tried to ask about it she told me to seek legal advice. I didn't say anything about legal advice, you didn't give us the first only positive - they don't bother you like some do. They may not bother you- but they're bothered by you. read more

This company is HORRIBLE and Jennie Miller is the most unprofessional "manager" I have ever had the displeasure of working with. She is extremely defensive and I believe she should be investigated for retaliatory practices against her tenants. This company took over the apartments that I have lived in for 6 years mid month, and then doubled the rent. That of course, is going to force many people out of there homes. I put a notice in to the company on July 2nd and asked if I could make payments towards the balance that I owed for July's rent because I could not afford to pay in full for July, move and pay the pro-rated rent and then turn around a pay a full month's rent. She sent me an eviction notice on July 14th. I have documented her very unprofessional responses to myself and other tenants. She is not sympathetic and is only interested in getting as much money as possible. The fees alone that she charges are upwards of $400; $175 for a replacement key, $75 if you pay by check or money order, tenants must pay for their own air filters etc. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY, TRUST THE REVIEWS. ZERO ZERO ZERO stars are what they deserve. Our son was tragically murdered in one of their rentals in Maricopa, AZ. We were in contact with them as soon as possible as well as our lawyer. Even though they were working under abandonment laws, they claimed they would work with us. However, they filed for abandonment the very first day possible. They changed the locks even though there was time left on the rent he had paid and denied us access for over a month. They cleaned out his refrigerator and chest freezer and took us to court for abandonment. It wasn't a case of him voluntarily leaving and choosing not to return to the property, he was murdered in the garage! After finally giving us access several days before court, they stated they could change the locks after a certain point and take control of the contents of the house. We settled out of court in their favor just to maintain access to the house and have time to remove all of his possession. A little compassion would have gone a long way and I would NOT, under any circumstances, recommend using this company or renting any of their properties!!! read more

Thank you again for the promise of a refund (we'll see, keeping my fingers crossed)! It was very professional of you to give it to me after you misinformed and then tried to lie to me. I originally contacted your company on 12/10/2020 to apply for a 5 bedroom house near 35th and Cactus but was told that the house was going off the market. Looking through my records, it was in fact YOU who had encouraged me to apply anyways, stating that you had a list of new properties you still needed to add to the website. You said that you guys get new properties all the time and that you'd find us something fitting our criteria. When I first contacted you, your website showed 33 properties. It's now down to 19 and there was never anything added that was close to what we needed. I checked a lot Jennie, almost daily, and now that I know it was you who I originally spoke with, it makes sense why you took my refund request so personally. It was you whom I complained about being tricked by and I didn't realize I was asking for a refund from the person I was accusing of misinforming me. You tried to tell me again that you add properties all the time and that it was just the area we were searching but you didn't know I was checking your site almost daily and strictly looking for 4 plus bedroom houses in ALL areas. You haven't added not even one new 4 bedroom house to your website since I started my search back on December 10th, not one Jennie. So now, you have personally lied to me twice. First by saying you had a list of properties to add to the website and that you'd find something for us but that was on 12/10 and your list only decreased since then. Second by saying you're always adding new properties to the website when my research and your own property numbers prove otherwise. Even if you do add and remove properties all the time, they're houses that are 3 bedroom and below and we clearly stated we were looking for a 5 bedroom or a 4 bedroom with a loft. You still insisted I apply and you simply shouldn't have done that. Instead, maybe you should've suggested I kept looking at your site and when something fitting our needs pops up to apply or contact you guys. You just wanted my money though, you didn't care about finding anything for me. You proved your callousness at the end of our phone call when you told me I would basically be black listed from using your company every again. I had already told you I didn't trust your company so being black listed means nothing to me. All I wanted was a refund and I feel I had a good reason to get one, an understandable reason that a business life yours should've understood. I'd even bet, had I dealt with anyone else, they'd have given me the refund without the attitude and hurt feelings. If you can't keep your feelings out of your work, find a job where feelings are appropriate. We have to deal with complaints and refunds in my line of work all the time and never once have I behaved as unprofessional as you did Jennie, regardless of blame. If anyone from the company is reading this, I'm sure Jennie is easily replaceable and you'd be better off finding someone who doesn't actively lie or make excuses on your companies behalf. Plenty of people need work right now, maybe look for someone who'd appreciate the job enough to treat your customers nicely and not lie to them to lock them into applications. read more

Rented from these people for 2 years and probably the most horribly run real estate company known. There were always random and surprise charges popping up randomly. My issue was not with that specifically for us because we were aware of them doing this and were able to fight it but for someone who is not technically savvy they will get taken advantage of. Just one of the things that they tried to "fine" us for was police officers "showing up" to our home (which never happened) and expected us to pay a fine. We also asked for proof of them showing up to our home in which they never responded just dropped the charge. They also were taking our security deposit to "fix" things that weren't broken (again thankful we paid attention). Coming from a family who has done real estate my entire life this was a gross representation of how you're supposed to do business. My advice is to find a different management company because it truly was a horrendous experience where my roommates, our families, and I felt as if the main goal was to suck money from you without trying to have you notice. read more

So I paid the 50 application fee plus a 3 dollar fee for using the "app". Turned everything in. They got really personal, just to tell me that the owner declined my app. That's some BS. They say they can't tell me why it was denied. Huh I wonder why? People don't waste your money on this realty company. read more
