Mango Matcha Latte at MNGO. I always go to the convoy location!

Love these cute local eatery market. I'm glad they have more in San Diego now. Come with a group of friends and there's lots to choose from! There is open air indoor and outdoor seating. Restrooms for the public. Parking isn't bad. Great place to hangout with some friends while eating whatever you feel like as there's multiple eateries to choose from!

First time checking out this food hall. It's much smaller than Liberty Station. We got there around 10:30am so some places weren't open yet. There's mostly Mexican style food here but there's also Japanese, Thai, and steak vendors here. I went to Carnitas Quiroga to get Chiccharon taco and carnitas taco. $5 each. The Chiccharon was nice and crispy with guacamole on top. However It was a bit hard to eat in a taco because of its chunky pieces. I really enjoyed the carnitas tacos because it had a combination of fatty and crispy pork. The tacos were very filling so I was too full to try other vendors here. There's a lot of open seating here both indoor and patio . If I'm ever in National City, I'd come back here again for sure.

Great flavor, bone Marrow ok. Was 12 oz Beans were good wish I had more. 25$ seems different plates in people's photos.

This place as a whole is a jackpot for those foodies out there. They have a variety of options for all, picky eaters or not sure what they want. My wife and I always get a Carnitas taco as Carnitas Quiroga the same on Highland is in Market on 8th . A must try no matter what you are getting. Today we were there to try a place that has A ribeye plate which has bone Marrow a supposed to be 12oz steak two quesadillas. The place is apparently not on the list of restaurants. It's called Brasa Norte. The food had great flavor. I wish it was 12oz of cooked steak instead of it looking more like 6-8 barely. Thankfully we had our Carnitas taco. My opinion the other spots are more consistent . That is the Best thing about Market on 8th is you have a selection of food. And they have a awesome Bar set-up.

My husband and I stopped by Market on 8th for a casual dinner, and we both went for the smashed burgers. They weren't mind-blowing or anything over-the-top fancy, but honestly, they were pretty good--definitely hit the spot without any major complaints. The patties had that nice crispy edge from being smashed on the griddle, juicy enough in the middle, and the toppings and bun all came together well. Nothing revolutionary, but very enjoyable and satisfying. I'd say it's a reliable choice if you're craving a classic smash-style burger without the hype. What really stood out were the fries--super crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and seasoned perfectly. That seasoning was on point; we couldn't stop snacking on them. Overall, not bad at all for a food hall vibe. Great spot to chill, grab a bite, and maybe check out the other vendors next time.

I would say this is one of the sweetest spots to come to if you are undecided on what to eat but you want a nice lively atmosphere and plenty of options to pick from. From Sushi, to Burgers and even carnitas! Sports bar feel with outdoor and indoor feels and seating. Perfect for a Sunday full of football or watch any other sports! I chose to eat some carnitas Carnitas Quiroga, with one pound and sides of beans, rice and tortillas is perfect for a meal for two! Service quick and very friendly. Many options if you are in the area you must come.

Went here first the first time recommended by family member, I ordered Thai food and steak, it didn't disappoint me, good portion and taste good. Server/cashier is friendly, nice ambiance.

CACIO is hands down my favorite spot for pasta--10/10 every single time. The pasta is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. You can really taste the care and love that goes into every dish. They are some of the sweetest, most genuine, and hardworking people I've ever met. Their kindness and dedication truly shine through in both the food and the atmosphere. It's always my go-to, and I'll keep coming back not just for the amazing pasta, but for the beautiful energy they bring.

Variety of food choices after walking around to see what we wanted, we ended up narrowing it down to 2 spots. We tried the Japanese bbq sauce chicken wings from the Donburi rice bowl restaurant & the fresh fish ceviche from Roger's Baja seafood experience & ribeye prime tacos from Brasa Norte Steaks and tacos . You order first, and they give you buzzard to let you know when your food is ready. While we waited was easy to find a spot to eat there's plenty of tables and a bar area. The ambiance is casual with lots of spots and a small arcade area good music too they were playing 90s music will be coming back to try out different spots another to

Went to Roger's and Donburi Rice bowls. The food was awesome. The service was fast took about 10 minutes. I got ceviche from Roger's and the fresh fish and veggies were delightful. At Donburi I tried their chicken wings with with Japanese bbq sauce and the flavor was all the way live the garlic made it stand out. There is a beautiful bar out front with plenty of tables big screen tv's and arcade, lighting is a perfect dim and they have an awesome gift shop! Can't wait to come back

Maybe because it was Sunday around noon it was not busy but the Spot was ok, nothing too exciting in my opinion. Not a big selection of food spots. Tried Casa ocho coffee which was basic sugary coffee. Stuck to ordering Kikos Baja style fish tacos which were delicious. Would not return though. I can have the tacos at another location of theirs.

I'm learning that National City has a handful of hidden gems, this one included. I normally go to Liberty station, but this one is nice too! I love how it's indoors and loud airplanes aren't causing a disruption. The inside is clean and has many local eateries ranging from Mexican, Italian, Asian food and more! You'll also find a bar along with a mini arcade and the cutest shop selling fun Knick knacks. I can't say too much about service since I only stopped by Cafe Alessi which sells delicious matchas.

    Loc T.

Many great food vendors. Plenty seats. Family friendly and friendly staff. Love this mini Liberty station feel.

I especially loved their sandos--the chicken katsu and egg sandos were both really good, and the fruit sando was a nice sweet option. And the service was so good as well Definitely a hidden gem if you're looking for a quick and affordable Japanese meal in the area. Outside esthetics is null, a place to miss because the facade was plain. Inside looks like a front for a different business. What's the theme here? They have seating but the place is not welcoming. I've been to Japanese restaurants with little to no patrons and the staff still greeted me. Asked the girl who was under 25 years old, who was busily working on something and she basically ignored me until I was ready to engage. First time in, I don't know anything and need help. Is there hat I can wear?? Newbie!! The hostess table has freshly made masubi, some are named and others are not. I was woeful by the pictures seen online and picked one called Poke and the other not marked which looked like spam on top of rice with a sweet chili sauce on top. Both of these were wrapped for "grab and go". I took a bite of the poke masubi with raw fish inside... insane to have raw in warm rice and it was OK. I was disappointed in my overall experience. And I will not be going back ever.
