    Chilaquiles

You push through the door at Danny Boys like a man trying to outrun the weather. Not the kind that falls from the sky, the kind that follows you. The kind that knows your name. The joint is lit in that half shadow where the neon hums like it's got secrets. A couple of regulars look up just long enough to decide you're nobody worth remembering. The coffee smells burnt in a comforting way. The air tastes like stories that never made it to paper. You slide into a booth that's seen better men make worse decisions. The server doesn't ask what you want. She just gives you a look that says she's seen your type before and brings the chilaquiles like she's placing evidence on the table. The chips are sharp enough to cut through whatever you've been carrying. The salsa hits with that slow burn that doesn't announce itself, just settles in and lets you know it's not leaving. The eggs fold over the whole thing like a blanket thrown over a crime scene. You take a bite and the world narrows to crunch, heat, and the faint hum of a refrigerator that's older than your regrets. For a moment, the chase stops. The ghosts sit down. The hostile land softens around the edges. Danny Boys doesn't save you. It just gives you a place to breathe between chapters. And sometimes that's all this drifter needs.

By far my favorite and most authentic Mexican brunch I've had! I get the chicken sopes and they're amazing. I ventured out this time and got a taco de vapor de papas. It was soft, juicy, and flavorful! It paired well with the horchata that is rich! This time I went with a larger party, which was a little bit of a longer wait. They do have limited seating for parties more than 4, but it's worth the wait! They are fast with taking your order once you are seated, and bring out the food fast!

Wow. Just wow. My chilaquiles was crispy til the last bite. Large servings. I couldn't finish my bowl. Cafe de olla was so good i had 2 cups. I can't wait to come back and try something else. I was so surprise and now small this place is but don't let it fool you. Come try it. Our cashier/server is super friendly.

This little shop has been on my list for quite awhile. I'm glad I checked it off my list. Danny Boy's is located in a strip mall with Manolo's, a laundry mat, karaoke bar, and Denny's. There are a few tables inside for a sit down meal, or order to go. This morning the café was filled with both types of customers. We decided to eat in. The hostess was very welcoming and offered us menus and water to drink. The vibe here is casual and warm. The regulars and newcomers were shown the same friendly hellos, thank yous, and goodbyes. Our two breakfast burritos came out piping hot, and very tasty, too! I asked for the hot sauces to try, both red and green. They were both good. Although I thought I was going to place another order to go, I was full after eating only half of my burrito. We left satisfied and plan on coming back.

Came across Danny Boy's as we were looking for a torta spot and decided to try them out. We came by Saturday around 12 pm and it wasn't too crowded. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The space itself isn't that big with 6-7 tables. We shared the special breakfast torta (asked for it to be made vegetarian) for $14.95 as well as a mini potato and egg breakfast burrito for $5.95. Both the torta and the mini burrito were good but not amazing. My main complaint is that both were on the bland side, perhaps because they usually rely on meat to provide flavor. We also didn't realize that the torta came with a side of potatoes, so between the potatoes in the torta itself, on the side, and in the breakfast burrito, it was a LOT of potatoes. Portions were big and it was enough food for both of us.

I love their chilaquiles. Lots of flavor, crispy chips even in the sauce, fresh ingredients. We always eat in, and the tables are always clean. Staff is friendly, too!

I love this place for its tacos de vapor, but I've had other dishes and they have all been delicious. Real authentic food like my grandmother made, their tacos are the reason to go there. I highly suggest going early enough before the run out, place is small so definitely not for a large party but somewhere to go when your having Mexican antojitos.

Hands down the best birria chilaquiles I've ever had! The perfect balance of crispy tortilla chips soaked in rich, flavorful birria consommé, topped with tender, juicy birria, melted cheese, and just the right amount of spice. Every bite was packed with bold, savory goodness! The portion was generous, and the flavors were spot on--smoky, spicy, and deeply satisfying. The consommé on the side was an amazing touch, perfect for dipping or just sipping on its own. The service was fast and friendly, and the vibe of the place made the whole experience even better. If you're a fan of chilaquiles and birria, this is an absolute must-try. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

This place serves some of the best chilaquiles I've ever had! I also tried the torta and carne asada -- everything was absolutely perfect. The ambiance is great, and the servers are friendly and helpful, offering recommendations if you're new to the spot. The place is a bit small, but it's clean and cozy. Definitely worth a visit!

This place has been on my radar for a minute. Finally I was able to come Saturday morning. The hubby loved the chilaquiles. Nice crunchy tortilla full of flavor. There serving sizes are large enough to share. I wanted to taste a mini machaca burrito it was NOT mini. There mini is regular size. Machaca was full of flavor and lots of cheese. My tacos al vapor were just like the ones across the border. Fantasic!! I got beef and potato maybe just a lil more potato then beef, but nevertheless still good. Chorizo and bean taco was just as delicious. I enjoyed these tacos ill have to see when I can make it out again. They close early so try to make it out.

Delicious food and wonderful service. A hidden gem in Chula Vista. Their mini breakfast burritos are the best.

Lets talk about the vibes first...amazing decor and vibes, decor and walls and atmosphere is very cool and unique I truly love it so much. The staff is very nice, offering suggestions on drinks with big smiles and welcoming energy. Now the drinks and food: the drink I got last time was an iced mocha (no picture but I remember it was very good). This time I went with my mom and we both got the "Moon" drink.. a Chai/Matcha which was such a good drink, I want like a 40oz of it to take with me home for the week. I also ordered the pesto turkey sandwhich to share and I can not express how good this was. Perfectly crispy, juicy and fresh. Took the first bite and literally gasped because not only was the bread toasted to perfection but the veggies and turkey were so flavorful. The veggies and pesto and turkey were also layered in a way that made every bite delectable and that to me is art. Loved it, want more of it and I WILL be back to try more drinks and sandwhiches.

Maybe I didn't order the right thing, or maybe it was just an off day, but I probably wouldn't order that drink again. The picture looks promising but just not it. I actually brought one home for my husband to try as well, and without me even saying anything, he wasn't a fan of it either. I also have to say that when I first walked into the location, I didn't really feel a warm or welcoming vibe. I was hoping to have a better first experience, but unfortunately, between the drink and the overall experience, I don't think I'll be back. Maybe I just need to try something different, but for now, this one just wasn't a hit for us.
