I recently visited Market Pharmacy after trying to find a non-prescription medication recommended by my doctor that is not easily found at a Rite Aid or Walgreens. I first went to another pharmacy that was supposed to have the item but didn't have any in stock, they didn't seem to know much about it other than that they would need about 3-5 days to order it. I decided to try Market pharmacy after another customer at Walgreens gave me a tip. The lady I spoke with knew exactly what I was looking for, also she explained how to use the medication and applied a small discount when she realized she couldn't accept the product coupon that my doctor had given me because it was expired. I also mentioned to her that I was looking for a good allergy medicine and the previous pharmacy didn't help that much.  She went into to detail and explained every option I have, even mentioned a natural alternative that other customers swore by. Very knowledgeable about the items along with being friendly. Overall I got exactly what I was looking for and a little bit more.  The customer service received was rare, especially at a pharmacy. The pharmacy is in a good location, and plenty of parking both inside and on the street.  Extremely satisfied. read more

I went to Market Pharmacy last week on a tip from a family friend I have always used big name places to fill prescriptions and grab medicinal products so I wasn't exactly sure as to what I should be expecting. I went there needing some stuff for my son who had the flu. Right when I entered I noticed how clean and organized the place was. I was greeted by the lady at the counter who asked me if she could help me. I told her what was bothering my son and she took the time to show me several different options, both homeopathic and the regular stuff. It was so nice to have someone who knew what they were doing take the time to help me, and to a further extent my son. She was so nice and knew her stuff. I was in and out quickly with everything I needed, all thanks to the lady at the counter who's name I totally forgot. The next time I need a prescription filled I will be transferring it to Markey Pharmacy in Northridge. Their prices on the everyday stuff needed is very good as well. It's the alternative you've been waiting for, way better than the big named pharmacies. Thank you again Market Pharmacy, I will most definitely be returning for my future scripts! read more

This pharmacy CONSISTENTLY gets my husband's prescription wrong. He's been sent the wrong dosage twice, he's been sent the wrong number of pills several times, and--three times in a row now--they've failed to send his most important medication AT ALL! It took two weeks to clear it up last time, by which point he had run out of that medication entirely and began suffering horrible withdrawal symptoms. And then they did the exact same thing AGAIN tonight. HORRIBLE pharmacy. And their staff has been nothing but rude and unhelpful. When my husband calls himself, they treat him with NO respect because he's mentally ill--they have this "Oh, YOU don't know what's going on...YOU don't know what pills you need" attitude--and when I call it's not much better. Prepare to be put on hold; speak to nothing but stupid, inconsiderate women (Patty & Jessica--I'm calling you out!); and then STILL not get your problem resolved. The sooner we can get my husband's prescriptions transferred, the better! I have had ENOUGH of Market Pharmacy's nonsense. If you're thinking of getting your prescription filled here: DON'T. I'm new to yelp, but I just had to review Market Pharmacy. Been coming here for years, sometimes getting my order delivered and sometimes stopping by. however the recent treatment I've been receiving is unacceptable. I go to san fernando clinic and my dr calls them directly while I'm still in the office. Luz is always sweet when I go pick up, and Maria always helps with my new meds. Sometimes I need to drop off my prescription, and the previous girls were always polite and friendly. The new girl at the window (I'm sorry to mention her name) Ana is just plain rude. One time she was on the phone, and I had to wait a few minutes before she even looked at me. I always loved the staff here, but all these new faces and changes make me question their service. Please go back to my old market pharmacy or train your staff. But my driver is very sweet and nice. Don't know his name, but older gentleman. read more

I have been a patient of Market Pharmacy since 2004. I remember the first year because that is when I started traveling abroad for business and needed a pharmacy that will work with me and my insurance company. Where I travel, sometimes I am out of the country for more than 30 days and staff at the pharmacy will work with the insurance company to make sure that I'm never out of my maintenance medications. The staff is always helpful and quickly fills my refills or new prescriptions. The pharmacy is also able to make my compound prescriptions cream for my back pain; making it unnecessary for me to send it elsewhere to be refilled. It is very convenient to be able to go to one place for all my prescription needs with no lines and the ability to speak with a pharmacist or well educated staff members. I've never been more pleased than dealing with Market Pharmacy! read more

Amazingly Fast and exceptional Service! I love this pharmacy. The friendly staff always go out of their way to help me and my family out, every single time we need to fill a prescription or get an over the counter item. My family and I used to go to Walgreens and occasionally to CVS but there was always some kind of issue when trying to get our prescriptions filled..... long lines, not in stock, not ready as promised, you name it, Market Pharmacy makes the pharmacy experience very smooth and pleasant. Our prescriptions are always ready on time, and we even get a text message notifying us that they are ready. I've read a few of the reviews on here, and I happened to come across one saying that Patty was rude. Personally, I highly doubt it. I've been a customer of this pharmacy for years and in all the years that she's been employed here, I've never had an issue with her customer service; let alone her so called "rudeness". In my opinion it's a bit overzealous. The service is great, and convenient. My prescriptions are always ready and waiting for me when I get there to pick them up after having called in a refill, all the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The fact that they deliver makes their business that much greater. I would recommend this pharmacy and I will continue to be a customer of Market Pharmacy. read more

They care, they help, they understand, I've never had service from a pharmacy like I have gotten from the family at Market! No one is perfect all the time, though they have been w/me the look for solutions to issues that may come up. Even though I'm a financially poor person they have helped w/cost when I had to pay, I've never been in there more than 15min waiting for my script, usually no more than ten as a matter of fact. I'm not used to not having disposable income, my own house, or great insurance but for now I am that person, but love & am very grateful to the staff at market the provide me w/the half dozen monthly scrips I need w/my best interest in mind! A step above the rest, that's exactly the definition of Market Pharmacy-- from the clean, large open store to specialty (and common) medical supplies/medications, to the professional service! It's hard to find a pharmacy with all of this. I started using this pharmacy when I moved to the Valley and am glad to be supporting another independent pharmacy! They are less crowded and faster wait times compared to CVS, Walgreens, etc. They also offer a lot of pharmaceutical services offered by pharmacist that you typically don't see in a regular pharmacy. I have been a customer for years at this pharmacy and love it. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I usually ask for Yvette cause she's the one who always answers all my questions. Also if you have an insurance problem she's the one who will take the time to call & get your prescription approved for you. I always get my prescriptions on time and there is no long lines or wait time. They also deliver which is a plus. The owner is a nice guy who is very knowledgeable and helpful and Yvette the manager is a sweetheart who always greets me with a smile. My main complain is against a pharmacist technician by the name of Ana. She is so rude and treats me and who knows who others like garbage every time She answers a phone call. May be she was treated that way and now she is trying to feel better by treating sick people this way. "Sick" Sick people in search for medication go to pharmacies is not a movie theater Ana. Learn to behave as a human being! Remember that you are being paid to serve not to mistreat sick peoples personally you should be outside of that place since it does not fit you. Best neighborhood pharmacy hands down, right next to CSUN, they are fast, courteous and intelligent, both pharmacist and staff are 5 stars plus in my book. Corporate pharmacies have long lost their "connection" with the average consumer, often being cold and appearing as if they are in an assembly line. At Market pharmacy, they go out of their way to listen to your questions and provide useful suggestions. I really felt like I had better experience than my average pharmacy trip. All it will take is one visit and you will see why this place should be your go to pharmacy if you're in the valley. read more

I just turned 65 and was totally confused about Medicare and all the different plans. These people took the time to help me understand. That's what a small Pharmacy is about. Tried the big chains but here I know they care about me. They know me by name. A doctor once made a mistake on a prescription. They questioned it, called the Doctor and kept me from taking the wrong dose of medication. I have been a client for over 5 years and with staff people like Adrienne and Patti taking care of me I will be a customer for life. read more
