First off when the actual dentist have crooked yellow teeth herself, that should have been the first red flag. Then attempted to sale me on Invisalign. I'm thinking lady please take your own advice. My experience - went in for a whitening, they had me pay up front. During whitening I experienced 2nd degree burn and swollen teeth. I requested for the dentist to Stop procedure immediately, she said ok and removed the bottom but kept top teeth solution on. I left with extremely swollen burnt lips had to go to ER. The dentist later called and stated "you must have bit your lip during procedure. She requested for me to email her pictures and outcome. I emailed her and she never responded. I called the front desk, they provided me with another email to use, I resent email no response. So I suffered a burn, swollen lip, left with the same color teeth, dentist refuse to refund me. read more

They were nice here to me. I got two fillings done. The second one that was done was okay until a couple months passed and then it became super sensitive and painful to anything cold or warm.. it got worse to the point where I can't chew on my right side anymore. I have never had this experience at any other dental Office. I feel like something was done wrong when my filling was done. The cleaning here was good. I wouldn't go back for a filling though. Terrible dentist. Went for a filling ended up in excruciating pain a week later. I ended up needing a root canal and when I went in and told them about the pain they proceeded to tell me I needed Invisalign as I am sitting there in pain. Awful experience. Went to the endodontist and told me I have beautiful teeth and do not need Invisalign. I will never go back here again. AVOID this place at all costs! I was assigned here by my insurance and regret not doing my research. I had to come in 3 extra times because 1. the filling they did made my tooth extra sensitive to hot/cold + pressure & 2. the crown they made for my root canal did not fit properly TWICE. Each appointment I had to wait in the waiting room for 30-45 minutes for them to even call me back - so unprofessional and a waste of time. Dr Haque doesn't seem like she knows what she's doing and is SO rude (especially to the girls that work there). I'm surprised this place gets any business at all. I was seen by Doctor Haque at the time. My daughter was seen by an older man and he was wonderful but Doctor Haque RUINS this place. RUN. I went to this dentist once, a few months ago and it was disastrous enough that I switched from HMO to PPO so I could find a different dentist, even though it costs more monthly. When I went, I was told needed about 8-10 things done, one of them being a root canal. I was given the price list for everything they wanted to do and when questioned about the pricing, was told that this is what the insurance listed. I went back to my insurance and checked my explanation of benefits and there was a discrepancy of at least $800! When questioned about it, they tried to play it off as only 1 or two items were mispriced but most of the list was mispriced. I then asked them to do a verification with my insurance prior to doing the dental work because I no longer trusted them to be honest with their pricing and they noted it would take two weeks. Two weeks went by, my insurance heard nothing (they noted it should only take days as it's done electronically). Another week went by and I questioned the office again to send it, then spoke to my insurance again and nothing. I went back and looked at what they billed my insurance for on another thing and they billed them for X-rays when I didn't get any, so if I needed X-rays within a 6 month period following, I wouldn't qualify for it to be covered, questioned them in that and they sweat they did but could not produce the X-rays as proof. Fast forward to now (never having gotten any of the work done) and I visited another dentist today. Guess what? I only need one filling and a filling replacement due to staining, not 8-10 different fillings including one root canal. I went from them trying to charge me around $3k for work, to only having to get two quick fillings. This place will nickel and dime you, and do work that isn't needed so stay far far away. read more

Off the bat, one of the most accommodating places here. I reached out because I had a lot of pain in my gums and they went out of their way to get me in right away despite the fact that I was missing my insurance information. There were patients there so I know they're busy but the staff has kept the business very well managed. The staff is very welcoming, patient, friendly and professional. Sonia was wonderful and explained everything quite nicely. I am a nervous patient when it comes to dentists but she made the experience very comfortable. She did the X-rays and had me settled in while I waited for the dentist. She also helped with the exit once I was done as well as scheduling future appointments. Dr. Haq saw me and she has a very warm personality and great bedside manner. She articulated the problems in a way that I could understand. She also made a treatment plan that I could stick with. Overall my anxiety and trepidations were gone. I felt relaxed and understood. If you have not seen a dentist in years and you feel nervous, I recommend this place. I'll update the review on quality of care as I go through the plan but I feel very positive and hopeful. read more

While I found the office and support staff really nice, and the office environment very clean and inviting, I am not happy with the care that I received from the dentist. I had three fillings for cavities on once side of my mouth. They were not painful, but I have had a lot of pain in the two weeks after the work was done. While I understand that this might not be her fault, I really didn't like the lack of communication of what was happening related to the work she was doing in my mouth. I appreciate when people tell me what is going to be happening.. or "you will feel a short pinch and then the pain should ease" - things like that. I went back to see what might be causing the pain, and they said my bite looked too high on one side and she shared some other things that it might be that we would need to re-evaluate after 2 weeks. But here's my issue. In that short adjustment both my tongue and back gums were hit and are now very painful. This happened during my first procedure as well. I'm simply shocked that there is no mention or apology that the metal grinder tool is hitting my skin. I mean, she has to know! This has created a lack of trust in the service there, and I no longer feel comfortable getting work done here. read more

I set up an appointment last week as a new patient. They emailed me two days before to confirm. Their system texted me asking me to confirm two hours before, which I did. I leave work early and I arrive, and call the front desk (as they asked me to do because of COVID), noticing that there are two people sitting in the waiting room. The office assistant tells me that all appointments are canceled because the Dr. had an emergency, and they can't see me until three weeks later. I asked, "why didn't you tell me?" The office assistant Michelle straight up lies and says that my mailbox was full on my cell phone. I have neither a missed call from them, nor a voicemail, and my mailbox is not full. Amazing gall to lie to a new patient. Horrible business practices. Would not recommend. read more

After having recently moved a considerable distance from this office, I still scheduled a regular cleaning to help support business during Covid. While at my appointment, I was left waiting alone multiple times during the x-ray portion because the staff member assisting kept being called away to assist with patients in the front. The dentist assisting me could not clearly articulate what exactly she wanted me to see on the X-ray and I left without further instruction from her. On my way out one of the staff members suggested I could get a second opinion, which appealed to me because I didn't understand this dentist and it is quite the drive from where I now reside. After returning home I contacted a dental office near me to receive a second opinion and scheduled an appointment. They requested the records from marketplace dentistry and I was contacted by marketplace dentistry. I was told there would be a fee in order to transfer the files and that this was something I agreed to in the on boarding paperwork. I looked through the folder that I received during the on boarding and did not find such policy. I requested that marketplace dentistry provide me with a copy of the policy that they allege I agreed to as it is not in my packet of paperwork or online. I provided my email address and waited. After 15 minutes of waiting I contacted the office again and after being put on hold I was told the Dentist said it would take 5-7 business days for me to receive the paperwork with the policy because that is their policy. This was not communicated previously. I am extremely disappointed in how unprofessional this business is. I regret making my appointment with them thinking I was helping their business. I definitely will not be going out of my way to visit this office again and I will urge others not to as well. These are extremely trying times and supporting businesses is very important. However, businesses should still operate in a professional and respectful manner. read more

I had a HORRIBLE experience twice here. First time, I walked in with no aches or pains, and they filled me for one cavity. While operating she said I had another and didn't seem very sure what she was doing. Its been three weeks later and my teeth are killing me. I had inflamed gums and can't eat on the left of my mouth right where she operated. The assistant kept gabbing the straw right into my gums and it hurt so badly. The second time I went in, the other dentist left for lunch in the middle of it and they said they'd have to call me with my X-ray results which they never did. I am a new patient. Everyone was friendly and professional. They took my temperature before entering the office, and notified me by text ahead of time, so I would be prepared. Dr Haque is LEGIT! She went to NYU and USC, so I had high expectations. She did exactly what a dentist is supposed to do! She looked in my throat and checked my neck for lumps. She poked at my teeth and gums to determine what treatment was needed. She thoroughly explained what procedures I needed soon and what could wait. She made it seem like she wants to be my dentist for years to come, and not simply for my initial exam, x-rays and cleaning. Dr Haque has a genuine love for dentistry. She has a lot of degrees and certificates, and this shows she keeps her skills current and fresh. I would highly recommend Dr Haque and Market Place Dentistry. read more

Horrible management! The owner is beyond unorganized and rude especially to her employees. Been waiting for my Invisalign for over 4 months (already paid half too). I am being told it's almost done, just a little longer, we'll give you a call and nothing ever happens. I'm the one always calling to follow up. One time my husband and I went in for a fill, Dr. Haque came in and numb me up at 9am and was told I need a root canal and not a fill. I said ok and patiently waited for her to come back. Since my husband was in the same room as me (which is divided by half a wall) I could see her working on his filling. She came back After a while and numbed me up again. She went back to work on my husband. Now it's 10am and she hasn't even started on me. I left with a numb mouth and rescheduled my appointment. Went back for my appointment and had another doctor work on me. He said I don't need a root canal and did the filling without a problem. My husband on the other hand left the office that day who Dr. Haque worked on with an excruciating pain which lasted a few months. Update (02/05/22): called for a refund for the Invisalign I never received . I was told they will follow up with the "Billing Department". Update (02/15/22): called today for the status of my refund. Owner wants me to take down my negative review before writing me a check in 10 days (not even right away). Not happening... still waiting. Update (02/18/22): My lawyers got involved and disputed the $2,600. Otherwise I wasn't going to see that money ever again. Dr. Haque must be in desperate need of money since she won't give her patients their money back. Stealing isn't very nice! read more

I've been here before and I had to change my dentist because of how disappointed I was. I dont know if they still have the same Dr. but I got Dr. naz Haque and did a terrible job. She did not cleaned my teeth well. I still had the same marks of plaque that i used to have before she worked on me. On top of that, one of my fillings broke within two weeks and she also took more than she should of my tooth off. It is too bad my mom could not get a refund since she didn't earned it. My mom tried to file a refund, but they denied it, of course. Always double check your dentist, and that they do their job good, and that they do it with passion, or else youre going to be dissapointed and also theyre going to take your money without remorse. read more

If you are anything like me, terrified, shaking, anxiety riddled hot mess (and that's just in the parking lot) at the dentist- listen to me: This dentist is different. She's super calm, which is calming. She's super sweet, which is calming. She's very careful, which matters when someone is in your face. Look, it's uncomfortable. No one really looks forward to it. But somehow, Dr. Haque earned my trust swiftly that I actually opted out of nitrous during my crowning procedure. And truly, honestly (and I'm hard to numb) I am telling you- I didn't feel that awful first jab- the one when it feels like they are trying to jam the needle into your brain, you know that one? Yeah- not here, she won't let that happen. Finally, finally.......I may actually stick with this practice and have them help me avoid more crowns. Please take a leap of faith and trust this practice no matter how freaked out you are at the idea of dentists. I'm so glad I'm stumbled them on a google search! read more

These people are absolute hack jobs. Not sure why it takes more than 5 visits to do 1 root canal. Or why someone would need a new X-ray at each of those visits. Or why they would keep putting temporary cement under a permanent crown and make another appointment claiming it'll be fixed. Or why they don't take someone back until an hour after their appointment (when there is no one else in the building) sit them down in the chair and not come back for an hour (when there's still no one in the building). Or why they wouldn't applying numbing to the area being worked on. Or why they would blow off the patient asking for information about the procedure and not answer any questions. Btw, they still haven't finished the work. And on the 3rd visit, my brother felt his tooth crack and heard the dentist say "uh oh" before blowing my brother off when he asked what happened. We should have checked the reviews before taking my brother here and that is our bad. Now we have to deal with the fallout of an infected gum line, slices all over his mouth (not including the area that they butchered), and his distrust of dentists growing. The plaques in the office had to have been made on google cause I call BS. And yelp saying people said they're closed, you need to update your site cause they are very much open, ripping off people, and running up insurances. read more

Dr. Haque has been my dentist for the past five years. I have some special concerns due to medication that she accommodates beautifully. I have always found the entire staff to be quite professional and very friendly. Sometimes I have to change an appointment and they are very understanding. Here's why I had to update this review. There is a hygienist that has been in the office for about two years, and sadly, I find her completely inadequate for her position. She has held an instrument in the wrong way and hurt me unnecessarily almost every time I've been there. She dropped a temporary crown she was trying to place in my mouth and I almost chocked on it. My husband decided not to return to Market Place Dentistry about six months ago because of her, and now I feel like I have to do the same. Again, Dr. Haque is AWESOME and everyone else in the office is completely professional. I just can't go back unless there is that one personnel change. My husband and I can't be the only people who feel this way. read more

It was a big mistake to ignore all the negative reviews in here! Maybe I'd still have kept my tooth! Just to make it really brief: "Naz Haque" who I wouldn't call her a doctor anymore had done the following: 1- Cracked my teeth after too many attempts to find the nerve in order to make a root canal. "she admitted it while we're arguing" 2- Asked me to come back when my gum heals to do the crown. Went back but the system in her office was down and the office manager refused to reschedule because the system was down. 3- Called back in few days and rescheduled then before I go by few days my tooth broke completely because no crown on it! 4- She asked me to pay extra to fix her mistake while she kept what I paid for the crown that wasn't done. 5- I started threatening that I'll sue her and her answer was simply: I don't care! The most important fact in all of this is: I never needed a root canal to begin with, all I needed was filling but she insisted that she can only do a root canal on this particular tooth. This "NOT a Doctor" successfully scammed me and I thought I'm smart enough to not get scammed! Be careful, read reviews and don't give your teeth away! Once you lose a teeth you're not getting it back, you have to do implants or bridge which will never be the same as your own teeth. read more

Do not go to this office to get any work done. I have only had o e cavity when I was 22 years old. When I went to the office to get a cleaning, they said all is good. I went back to this office one month later and told them I needed my teeth checked because they hurt. The doctor (owner of the business) said I have a cavity there and four others. I asked why didn't the doctor tell me a month ago, and she said that doctor no longer works here. I had all four filled. I came back a month later with a pain in one of the teeth that was filled. The doctor told me I had a cavity and it needs to be filled. They refilled one of the teeth that was filled a month ago and filled another tooth. I left sad knowing that it seems that there is something not right at this office. Now, the same tooth that was refilled in July 2019 is not right again. I called my mom and she told me to go to the dentist that I grew up going to even though they do t take my insurance. So, I will return to my childhood dentist. I went here for 2 years not knowing any better. It was the local dentist - but every time I went there there seemed to some catastrophic thing wrong and on top of my really good insurance I had to pay 500-1000 each time. They would insist that I needed major work and that I would have to pay. Once they charged me 500 and never told me there would be a charge. Finally I had it with dr. Huage and her deceptive ways - I went to see another dentist with great reviews and for the last year have not paid a dime and every time I go she does preventative work. I was told the prior work was excessive and not needed. This place thrives on deceiving people and getting money out of them for things that are not needed. Please don't go here. read more

I'm surprised by some of these bad reviews and I have to disagree. Dr. Naz Haque has been my dentist for over 10 years and I'm so grateful for her. She truly cares about her patients and helps me keep my teeth healthy and my smile looking great. Her Tustin location is is always clean and welcoming. The staff is always positive, especially Gabby. They are always helpful in answering all my questions and making me feel comfortable. I know that when I come for my check ups I will be getting quality work done and an honest response on what I need and don't need. I always recommend her to my friends and family. read more

Never thought I would ever say this, but I LOVE my dentist. I'm usually a very frantic, dramatic, scared patient but Dr. Haque made me feel so so comfortable!! She literally walked me through all my fears and I am so incredibly grateful. I walked in for my appointment this morning and let the staff know that I am very scared if drills/needles (the whole shabang). They assured me that the doctor would take very good care of me and I am pleased to say, she did. She talked to me the entire time just so I would stay distracted and not focus on whatever was going on behind the scenes. I needed a root canal and I'm going to be 100% honest, I was expecting to leave feeling horrible as I have in the past with other dentist offices, but I left with minimal pain.
