OK, I'm getting on my soapbox here because I genuinely think that the Nordstrom Café is one of the most slept on restaurants! I don't know if I'm biased because I went here at least once a month growing up (shout out freehold raceway mall) but honestly, I always feel so at home here, the vibe is cozy and all the food is really genuinely good for a fast casual vibe! The soups, salads and sandwiches are my favorite but they did recently revamp their menu! They have lots of new items like yummy starters, pastas, and protein packed mains. Some of my favorite menu options are below: - Roma Tomato Basil Soup - French Dip - Little Gem Cesar Salad - Penne Bolognese & Meatballs Definitely try out the Nordstrom Cafe if you're shopping in the Cherry Hill mall or any Nordstrom that has a cafe! read more

I had to return something to Nordstrom so I stopped by the Nordstrom marketplace cafe to grab something for lunch. I ordered the penne Bolognese ( it came with a roll and butter for $19.99). The meat in the sauce was flavorful I could taste sausage but not sure. Next time, I will sit and eat inside the cafe. read more

Nordstrom Cafe is always a good choice if you're shopping at the main store. Soups and salads are especially comforting if it's blustery out and you want lunch on the go where you shop! I am continually pleasantly surprised when I visit the Nordstrom Cafe. The staff is always exceedingly friendly and polite, the dining room is classy and open, the prices are reasonable (The cafe food is about the only thing I can afford at Nordstrom) and the food is pretty darn good. The Nordstrom Cafe has weekly specials and then a standard menu. The menu is not large but there are enough options to please. I have had the Tuscon chicken a couple of times and I really enjoyed it. The portion size was perfect and the chicken was moist and nicely spiced. It comes with an assortment of nice vegetables also for $12.00! Everything we have had there has been surprisingly good, even the desserts. The way Nordstrom Cafe works is your order is placed and paid for when you walk in at the counter. Then you chose a seat in the dining room and your waitperson takes care of you. It is a little different but pretty efficient. They close at 8:00 PM so keep that in mind. read more

The pita bread and hummus was a delicious appetizer. Piping hot pita bread and a perfect hummus packed with olives and seasonings. The turkey sandwich was out of this world. The pizza special, a little larger than a personal size, was wonderful. read more

One of my favorite options for causal dining at the Cherry Hill Mall. There are daily specials, many which I have tried. The daily specials are a welcomed option for something different and new. Most of the food is well made, flavorful and fresh. I can't pick a favorite yet but I do enjoy their soups and salads the most. Their tomato soup is my lunch go-to for the winter season. The only reason I am giving this place only 3 stars is the service itself. While the service at the registers, where you place your orders, is friendly and prompt, the servers themselves do not seem to have much experience or they really don't care. I'm often chasing down a server for refills on my drinks or waiting longer than expected, especially if I've ordered a dessert or coffee. There have been a handful of select times (even when the cafe is not even busy) where I'm waiting longer for the server to greet me, review my order and at least bring my drink. If you're using a card to pay for your order and don't have cash on you, it feels like you're expected to add the tip to the card, prior to being served. This is what I feel is the downside to placing your order first at the registers and seating yourself. The servers sometimes fail to connect with their customers. The food itself is the reason I come back, but maybe I'll just order my food to-go next time. read more

Nice cafe with delicious dishes! Have tried both the grilled cheese with asparagus and the spicy shrimp pomodoro. Both dishes were delicious! We were impressed. This is a pleasant place to have a meal or snack away from the hustle and bustle of the busy mall. read more

This place is solid; amazing food w/ great. Now I stick with something that's basically impossible to f*** up: a hot tea (yummy choices, well presented) and the creamy tomato soup (it's the bomb.) For desert I get the most amazing chocolate cupcake on the planet (you're welcome.) I hope the GM reads this and addresses the minor, forgivable gaps in service *(and the occasional consistency of the food) because I really wanna come back back soon and give them another star. read more

After a draining experience at the Nissan service department across the street, I decided to treat myself to a little pity party lunch for one at Nordstrom Cafe. Menus are on a table just outside, so you place and pay for your order first, then choose a table. At that point, a server picks up your receipt and everything proceeds like a normal restaurant experience. The only thing I didn't like about this set-up was that you have to know exactly what you want at the time of ordering. So if you suddenly feel like dessert, I guess you'd have to go back to the front. No big. I ordered an iced tea and chicken Caesar salad. My server was very sweet and made sure I was all set with everything I needed. She also refilled my tea, which was great. The salad was pretty good and everything I saw at other tables looked great, too. The best part of all was that I enjoyed a relatively cheap lunch in a quiet setting which was worlds above the mall food court. I'll definitely return when I need a little shopping break. read more

A borderline gem among the sea of chain restaurants. The only issue is the front register where you have to order, since it makes for an informal/impersonal experience especially for those first-timers. What's the point of having a front register? The ambiance & service is upscale, so why not the ordering process? We had the tomato basil bisque, the pasta rossa, and the chicken & artichoke pasta. The bisque was divine....which had the perfect level of sweet, sour, and savory. No doubt it had hints of heavy cream and dry sherry, which is classic. Plus, the parmesan crostinis that came with the bisque were addicting. The pastas were both perfectly al dente, and large portion for the price. The chicken & artichoke pasta was eclectic and tangy, but OK. The bold flavors of the feta and artichokes played well with the subtle tomato, cream sauce and pine nuts.The pasta rossa was good too, with the perfectly balanced tomato-cream blush sauce. The wild mushrooms and crisp bacon sent the dish into stellar territory. Did not save room for dessert. Lunch for two was about $32 without tip. We'll be back for sure. read more

So my wife and I decided to drop in after I saw a bunch of people on Facebook raving about this place. They were saying stuff like it's the best restaurant in the CH Mall and that it was "an amazing restaurant"... People went on to day that it was one of their favorite restaurants. The décor was nice... didn't look overly high end, but it was nice for a store in the mall. The menu is small... a few salads, sandwiches, entress and kids meals. My wife got a roasted vegetable paninni and I got a pizza with prosciutto, herbs and different cheeses. After a few bites my wife said, "wow... I really like this sandwich. I REALLY like it". I enjoyed my pizza too... reminded me of a fantastic place in San Francisco that we were at a few years ago. The ingredients tasted fresh and the food tasted good. What more could you want?!??! Would I call it one of my favorite restaurants? Heeeeeeeell no... but was it a step above normal mall food? Yes... very much so. My wife and I both agreed that our server, Chelsea, was pretty awesome. She saw that we had a baby with us... not only did she say how cute our son was(always a plus), but she also said that she would take our order instead of us having to go to the food counter to order the food. It wasn't the biggest deal in the world, but she took the extra time to make sure that a couple with a small baby were taken care of... She checked up on us multiple times, brought over our check at the right time and made sure our sodas were always full... and she did all of these things with a smile. My wife and I have gone to fine dining restaurants in Philly and NYC where we spent 4 or 5 times as much on food that wasn't as good and have gotten less than stellar service. I truly think that my favorite restaurant is Nordstrom Cafe. Their soups, salads, and desserts are all absolute perfection and like five-star quality. I always get their cilantro and chicken salad and it is really so darn delicious I can't even put it into words!!! Also, their lemon ricotta cookies are to die for. As my date and I walked in, we were impressed by the warm, cafe atmosphere. We looked over the menu and made selections we were thoroughly satisfied with. Our waitress was extraordinarily kind and made several checks to make sure we were satisfied with everything, which we certainly were. As I started to eat my side salad, I noticed each ingredient was fresh, juicy, and flavorful. My date offered me some of the grilled chicken in her salad. I have never had such tender and moist chicken from a salad. The portions were unexpectedly large. We both went to this cafe hungry, but we both left with leftovers. You certainly get a large amount of food for the inexpensive price. All in all: the staff was top-notch and friendly, the food was fresh and plentiful, and the price was nearly too good to be true. This has got to be the Cherry Hill Mall's hidden gem. read more

The food has been consistently delicious. From the regular menu and the daily specials. And the service is also consistency good! The staff is friendly and courteous. You order before you sit down and the service staff quickly greets you and bring out the beverages. The food is also brought out fairly quickly, it is usually quiet and a relaxing experience. But it can be busy and loud, I guess it just depends on the day and timing. But would definitely recommend! read more

If I take my own personal time to write a review of a place it must be either good or bad. Nordstrom Cafe is on the good side. I am not a fan of chain restaurants as my reviews will show. That said, the recent consistency with which the Cherry Hill location has joined the Nordstrom cuisine family made me happy. I don't know where to start but I'm a cold weather Nordstrom consumer - a sweater and some soup, perfect day. The cafe is a reasonably priced excuse, the expertise in the culinary skills you receive may surprise you. Not to mention, the Nordstrom family still closes the stores for Thanksgiving. Went in just to check it out. I would say this is a somewhat better version of Panera. Fresh food with above average prices all things considered. I got the Prosciutto and Mozzarella sandwich which was very tasty. My son got the kid's mac and cheese which was definitely above average. Service was a bit off but hopefully that was an anomaly. Definitely worth checking out and certainly better than most of the CHM food court. read more

Every time I am here there are fruit flies in the display case. The last time I mentioned it to the person behind the counter, and they told me that it was not problem, they make sure to remove any that might be on/in the food. (Like I am going to eat there after that statement!) I like shopping at the Cherry Hill Mall, and I like almost all of the other places to grab something small while shopping. However, The Nordstrom Cafe is not a place that I will be returning to at any time in the future. Not only was the response that I received when questioning them about the flies unacceptable; the total disregard for a customers concern was rubbed off as a nuisance by the staff behind the counter. I would not recommend this location, even for a cup of coffee to other drink. Who knows how many flies you may end up with. read more

If you can stop soon and try their blood orange spritzer, do it! It's very refreshing and yummy. I'm assuming it's a summer treat. Their coffees are also very good. If you need a chocolate fix, they have a salted chocolate caramel candy that is extremely wonderful! One of the best salted caramels I have tasted! The service at Nordstrom Cafe is good - they are welcoming and fast! It's a great stop if you are shopping. It's way quicker than Starbucks in Macy's. read more

Recently ordered a chicken lime salad. It was really just a variety of lettuces, thin very small broken strip-like pieces of chicken that would equate to about less than half a breast, a little shredded mozzarella cheese, 4 halves of cherry tomatos and a sour-ish dressing. I would never order this salad again for $15 (or any price). I hope maybe the person that made it just made some mistake and it's not always like this. read more

It was my third or fourth time eating here. I ordered a Caesar salad and order or sweet potato fries. The waitress first brought out my water and as I'm sipping it my sister immediately told me to stop because there were a lot of floaties in my drink. I tried my best to keep from gagging. My waitress came by and brought me a new water (10 minutes later) and my new drink had floaties in it too!!! I was sick. It's a good thing I had a water bottle in my purse. Also, my salad came with a hidden piece of chicken inside of it and I'm a vegetarian. So that made me sick too. Relaxing, sophisticated atmosphere. Romantic. Menu rotates pretty much daily but everything we've had has been great. Both small plates and entrees, soups. Creme brulee is well made here. This place is a bit confusing. You place your order with the cashier but then a server brings your order and your beverage. Then you tip them for doing very little. I'm all for tipping servers but it just seems like a fancy Cosi or something. The food was good. i had a chicken pasta dish with feta for about $10. It was def good but not like "OMG I have to come back for this." My friend had a chicken lime salad that she was raving about for $15...which seems like a lot for a salad. But she swears it's amazing. The ambiance in there is really nice like you're in a really fancy restaurant. Plus it's quite and away from the hustle and bustle of the Cherry Hill Mall. I've always enjoyed Nordstrom stores wherever I am visiting. I always dine in them when I go to the store. The Cherry HIll store is lovely, but the Cafe not so much. The food and the service are very good. The atmosphere leaves much to be desired. It's very dark and not my cup of tea. I hope Nordstrom reads this review and does something with the room. I think they would do much better if they did. The room is almost like an afterthought. It feels like a closet. Atmosphere is important, especially when there isn't any. read more

This place is the best kept secret of Cherry Hill Mall. My coworker has been telling me about this place for a while now. We finally decided to check this place out on a weekday evening. If your looking for a no frills, quiet, great food, and awesome service then look no further. You place your order and pay at the front. Seating is your choice. The only thing i wasn't too fond of this place was it was very dim, lighting was very low. I ordered the salmon with roasted veggies. Due to overconsumption of salmon, i hardly order it when dining out. I'm so glad i tried it here. It was very moist and flavorful. The veggies were great and stayed hot. The whole entree stayed hot throughout dining. The bf had the buffalo sliders and his only riff is that he wishes there were more than 3. This place is a great alternative to the food court, the bistro, and the restos near the mall. Plus they're byob. What more can you ask for. I can't wait to try out the other tasty entrees that caught my attention. read more
