We had the most incredible meal here for my husband's birthday. What a culinary gem in south Jersey! It's also BYOB so don't forget your favorite bottle of wine :) The staff is so attentive and kind - they helped us have a comfortable and amazing experience as a family even with an active toddler. We had the tasting menu and loved every single bite. Everything is flavorful and interesting and unexpected in the best way. We left so full and excited to return!

A modern contemporary American cuisine for the ages!!!! This establishment exceeded our expectations beyond measure. The rustic industrial ambiance was super trendy and the food was to die for. We came hungry, and left PLEASANTLY plump. We ordered the table side shareable tomahawk steak recommended for a party of 4 or more, and the waiter drastically underestimated my boyfriend and my ability to devour this-- the chimichurri and crispy potatoes and all. The appetizers were unique and perfect shareable sizing, including a refreshing beef carpaccio and small plate pasta specials. We are dying to come back soon!

Hearthside was a dining experience that will make all other dining pale in comparison! It's casual, yet upscale. How is that possible? Unpretentious service that focuses on details- new small plates for each course, clearing and wiping any bits on the table with a dry cloth between each course, folding your napkin when you go to the restroom, several quiet friendly servers taking care of each of these details. Four courses of culinary creation and being able to see into the bustling kitchen where much of the food is being prepared is a sight to behold. The Hearth itself is a piece of art, then add the movement of chef and cooks for art in motion! The design and decor of the restaurant is brilliant! They've created a chef's table in a cozy corner that would accommodate 10. Then there's the elegant dining room of 2 and 4 tops that's hemmed in by 3/4 walls on two sides. Be sure to look up at the ceiling. It's a beautiful piece of architectural detail. There are floor to ceiling doors on two sides of the restaurant that open to tables for Al fresco dining with heaters during cooler evenings. As a party of six we were seated at the chef's table. We opted for chef's choice family style dining. The chef picks the items from his pre fixe menu to send to your table. He curated a wonderful sampling of his creations for us! We can't wait to go back! Bon Appetit! Ps. it's BYOB

Food was really good, but we honestly expected a little better for the price! Our server was friendly and the ambiance was great. The steak was cooked perfectly and dessert was the best!

Great service! We love coming to Hearthside for date nights. Sitting at the counter especially in the cold winter months is amazing. My mouth waters thinking about the hamachi and artichoke first courses. The only miss we've had here was overly salty scallops.

My boyfriend and I came for our anniversary meal here. Cannot say enough about this experience. Flavors were delicious and service was excellent. Holden did a wonderful job. The special rack of lamb was beautiful and flavorful and perfectly wood fired/roasted. We will definitely be back. What a great place!

Came for my husband's birthday dinner and had a pleasant time! The hype is real but I'd focus on the small plates and pasta more next time. Outside of the restaurant is very nice as well as inside, modern trendy feel. We sat at the chefs counter which was fun, always nice to see how the magic happens but be warned it is quite warm since they use a hearth to cook most of the food! We started with the carpaccio which is a must! I usually am not a fan but I'm obsessed with their take on this. It reminded me of all the flavors of pho We also got the ceviche which was refreshing and tasty. We got a couple pastas to share; bucatini, radiatori and tagliatelle. All 3 were incredible. The flavors, the texture and cook of the noodles were perfect and the protein was cooked well. I'd come back solely to try all their pastas. Then we got the ribeye and the cauliflower. I wasn't impressed by the ribeye, some pieces were a little chewy and it wasn't piping hot like I expected since we were sitting in front of the fire it was cooked on but the birthday boy enjoyed it and that's all that mattered! I also would have preferred a different sauce than the chimichurri, maybe something a little on the spice/heat/creamy side. The cauliflower was yummy and I really liked the curry flavors We ended the meal with the cheesecake and chocolate cake. Both were delicious! All in all, service was perfect and the food was tasty but the big price tag of the steak to me didn't match the taste but I think their pastas and small plates were phenom! I'd come back and try the branzino instead

My husband and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary yesterday at this lovely restaurant. Our server, Gabby was thoughtful and attentive. My husband said they were the best scallops he ever ate. My food was good, but the standout of the night was my kumquat cake which was a 10 out of a 10! It was beyond delicious with so many beautiful flavors. I've been on this earth for 52 years and have enjoyed many desserts but this cake was hands-down the best dessert I have ever had. Thank you for making our Anniversary so special.

First, let me start by saying that the service was five stars. Normally I can nitpick something about the staff whether timeliness or otherwise - but I must say all the staff was courteous, professional, timely, and accommodating. If I were to recommend any restaurant based on the service provided by staff - this would be one of the top-ranking restaurants. They were phenomenal without flaw in any way. Hearthside is a BYOB with a four-course menu - each course having options you can choose between. I can only give feedback on the dishes I have tried. Overall the food was above par for the most part with a few exceptions. For the first course, we had tuna sashimi, Sicilian pistachio butter, sun-dried tomato, and octopus, cilantro emulsion, jicama, jalapeno. The tuna was decently thick and even cut, and fresh, and the pleasant flavors from the tomato and pistachio did not overpower the fish itself. It was slightly more oily than anticipated - but because of the decent size of the tuna cut it was still a delightful dish. The octopus was one of my favorites - it was cooked perfectly, and the smoke from the wood fire was chargrilled into the skin. My only complaint was that the amount of salt was a bit overpowering. I found that it took away a bit from the masterpiece that the octopus was. For the second course we had the cavetelli cavatelli, fennel, lamb merguez, ricotta espuma which tasted remarkably rich and satisfying. I also tried the burrata flatbread which was a menu addition. While the ingredients were fresh, the burrata at the center lacked any addition of pesto or otherwise - so while the ends tasted delightful, the balance was lost in the center of the dish. For the third course we had the half chicken, smoked Calabrian chili hot sauce, dill - it was cooked perfectly but the sauce was a little underwhelming. The second main was the monkfish, sunchokes, mussels, citrus ginger broth. The monkfish again was cooked perfectly, but wasn't anything remarkable. The broth was thin, and while refreshing, there was no component to make it cling to the fish at all. I would have liked to see the monkfish with a thicker sauce more reminiscent of a lobster dish. For the last course we had both the opera cake and the budino. The opera cake was pleasant, layers were even, and the strawberry was delightful. The budino was excessively salty - I salted nutella pudding. As someone who loves salted caramel-like flavors, I was disappointed. This combination did not work and is the only dish I would not recommend. Overall the food was high quality and innovative. For had a few bites and was unable to finish it. It tasted like an overly the price there should be little room for imperfections. I was most pleased with the octopus and tuna first course selections, and most disappointed with the main course and the budino. It can be difficult to get everything right with a rotating menu - I will likely be back again to see if the menu changes the difference in the food. The staff and atmosphere were one of my highest-rated aspects of this restaurant. Excellent service - and the chef cooked everything perfectly despite some small misses in flavor details.

Came for an early valentines dinner and we were not disappointed. The staff is so friendly and everyone works as a team. As soon as your water got down to 1/4 full, they were there to fill it up. Constantly cleaning the table off between dishes and gave some great recommendations for food. Now the food- everything start to finish was phenomenal! We got one starter to share and then each got our own medium and large. Carpaccio was amazing. The jalapeños added a small touch of spice but perfect. The risotto is very heavy and blue cheesey so if you enjoy that, it's the dish for you! The spaghetti is cooked al dente with a lot of lobster and a great little saffron touch. The scallops were cooked perfectly and a good flavor. A little too salty for me but I'm very sensitive to salt- also didn't stop me from eating it because they were that well cooked lol. The pork chop has a smoked flavor to it and the perfect crisp. The slaw combo with it was such a great mix. Definitely try this place if you're lucky enough to snag reservations!

Do you take reservations for prix fixe only? Can you do a walk in with 2 for the a la carte menu?

Reservations are for indoor only and Pre Fixe. Walk-ins are outdoors only for a la carte. they post the a la carte menu on Instagram and possibly Facebook.

    Is this restaurant kid friendly?

I have three children, and although they are extremely well behaved, I still wouldn't bring them. This is an intimate environment with little room to have children in eye sight. I believe this is for the young adult/adult age range. Hope this helps… Read more

This wasn't my first time at Sabrina's, so I already knew the service would probably be a little different with the Mother's Day rush -- and understandably so. Overall, the food was still good! We started with their Blueberry Lavender Lemonade, made with blueberry and lavender, then garnished with fresh blueberries and lemon. It was so refreshing and honestly one of my favorite parts of the meal. For our entrées, I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and added salmon, while my daughter got the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl. For appetizers, we tried one of their "Heated Rivalry" May specials: Shane Hollander's Jambalaya Benedict. It came with shredded potato waffles, two poached eggs, fried shrimp, Creole sauce, smoked beef andouille sausage, pico de gallo, and green onions. Now listen... it looked AMAZING on the menu and had so much potential, but the taste was a little underwhelming for me. The dish came out room temperature, almost like it had been sitting for a while, and I really think it would've hit differently if it had been served hot -- especially the potato waffles. Still, I understand they were extremely busy and trying to accommodate everyone during the holiday rush. Sabrina's is definitely still a local favorite that I'll continue to support. Overall rating for this visit: 8/10

My dad loved the shrimp…read moreand grits and enjoyed that he received so many shrimp (7 or 8) that all had good size to it. The chicken and waffles were also excellent. My young son really enjoyed this. The fried buttermilk chicken was so on point that we ordered a second one as a side dish. Likewise the buttermilk chicken sandwich was great. I added bacon which was a good call. I would have liked the bacon a bit crispier and I think raw spinach rather than sautéd spinach would have helped the chicken stay crispier. We also order pancakes. The pancakes were super big. I'm talking dinner plate big. Unfortunately the taste did not live up to the big size. The texture was off putting and the flavor was strange. As for ambiance, it can get a bit loud since it is essentially and empty room with only a little decoration. They do have a small outside eating area which was quieter and could be quite nice on a day with comfy temperatures. All in all it was a good experience and we would go back again.

She was so kind! The appetizer and entree we wanted was out of stock, but she gave us a couple recommendations instead which was helpful. The vibe of the place was a casual bar/restaurant setting, but a good amount of seating and very clean. They played great music, cool decor, and good amount of tvs to watch sports. First, the brussel sprouts were incredible. They were perfectly crisped and seasoned and also came with a sriracha aioli was delicious. The potstickers were also SO good. I was shocked how much flavor everything had, not to mention the presentation of all our food was beautiful. Never thought I'd be saying that given it's a super casual bar restaurant vibe.
